Welcome back to day two of Bridal Market! If you missed parts one and two of our recaps, find them here and here. We’re so grateful to Briana of Divine Light Photography for all of these gorgeous images!

After leaving the Liancarlo showroom, we grabbed a quick lunch (which we were very excited about, having eaten trail mix in a taxi for lunch the day before!) and headed to the Piers for the Badgley Mischka show. We’re already big fans of Badgley Mischka shoes–I even just bought a pair for my own wedding next year–so seeing their gowns was a treat. The styling was a little high fashion for our tastes, but with simpler hair and makeup, many of the gowns would be just right for Southern belle brides. Not surprisingly, the giant bow back was our favorite!

Can you tell we were a little excited for the Amsale group shows? Mercy, y’all, not even the drizzly weather could dampen our spirits as we waited outside for the freight elevator that brought us to the runway! First up was the Kenneth Pool show, which featured lots of glamorous details paired with classic silhouettes. They’d be perfect for a bride who is traditional, but isn’t afraid to wear a daring dress.

As y’all may remember, Emily wore a gorgeous Christos gown for her own wedding, so seeing the new Christos collection was extra special for her! It did not disappoint–every dress was so romantic. Plus, all of the fabrics had amazing movement–don’t they look dreamy?

Finally, the ever-chic and tailored Amsale collection. We loved the mix of fabrics and the little tweaks that made each dress totally unique–a ruffled waistline, floral jacquard, and metallic chantilly lace, to name a few!

We thought the day couldn’t get any better, but then we headed to the beautiful Modern Trousseau presentation. Callie Tein, the designer, was gracious as can be, and served up some tea and chocolate, which was heavenly on such a dreary day! The collection was classic and sweet, with tons of surprises, from gray tulle to the cutest XOXO pattern–can you spot it? So fun!

We wrapped up day two with dinner in the West Village with Emily’s sisters-in-law–a delicious end to a fabulous day! Which gowns from this post are your favorites? Mine are the metallic lace Amsale and the XOXO gown at Modern Trousseau, and Emily’s are the low back gown with a peek of lace at Christos and the floral jacquard Amsale!

And we’re back! I hope you enjoyed Part 1 of our Bridal Market adventure! I’m so excited for this post, as it has one of my favorite shows in it! Can you guess which before scrolling down?

Don’t you love these backstage snaps Kat captured before the Reem Acra show? Y’all know my makeup junkie self would have died over all that makeup! I also love that Kat was able to snag a shot of the run of show photos. So neat!

The Reem Acra show is always one of my favorites because it’s always so couture, and this year was no different. Models weaved in and out of a small two-roomed venue donning innovative headpieces made of pleated tulle and lace.

The Reem Acra collection featured scalloped necklines, and narrow column silhouettes accentuated by bursts of tulle. We also saw embroidered illusion necklines, cascading organza and intricate beading.

Oh dear sweet Amsale! There are not words to describe how much Kristin and I died over this collection! We kept hitting each other (chicly, of course!) as each dress came down the runway. The Amsale collection is a “celebration of American couture”, and boy did we want to celebrate.

The streamlined silhouettes and “less is more” approach to classic style was right up my alley. These gowns featured luxurious fabrics (oh that silk organza!), pleated skirts, and my personal favorite, BIG bows! The Fall 2013 Amsale collection has classic Southern written all over it!

Before the Monique Lhuillier show we were so thrilled to have a few minutes to chat (and snap a pic with) our sweet friend Christy from Junebug Weddings. Isn’t her black and white dress so stylish?

Onto the ever-stunning Monique Lhuillier show! Monique described this collection as a fairytale, “a dream-like state with a very ethereal feeling.” We couldn’t agree more! The collection was full of illusion necklines, lace cap sleeves and of sheer romantic tulle. The collection was feminine and full of sparkly glamour. I also loved how Monique weaved in the subtle blush color without going overboard.

Stay tuned for more Bridal Market adventures as we’re just getting started! BIG huge thanks to Kat Harris for photographing all these beauties for us!

P.S. Which is your favorite gown so far?

Let’s see… these are some stunning gowns, so it’s hard to pick favorites, but I’ll try! From Reem Acra, I loved the first one, with that crazy tulle bow thing. From Amsale, it has to be the deep, deep v back – so chic! And finally, from Monique, I’m going with the last one – all that draping is so subtle and carefully done! I also love the first one from Monique!

As an Amsale bride to be, hers are definitely my favorite, and I have to agree with Emily, that deep V is to DIE for!!! But I also love the sheer backs and the big bow! Mine has a bow and I’m SO excited! :) Lucky ducks, thanks for the recap!

Amanda: I seriously almost passed out during the @amsale show. You, friend, are the lucky duck as an @amsale bride! Congratulations.

I just die over the third to last Monique gown, slit in the front, tulle cap sleeves. I just need it.

That last dress and the deep-V back one are my favorites!

I love the one with the flowers allover – that’s so great. Thanx for that beautiful pictures!

Oh my gosh, these collections are to die for! The Amsale with the low back and bow and the 5th runway shot from Monique Lhuillier are my favorites so far!

Amsale never skips a beat. Her gowns are exactly my aesthetic – simple, elegant, and understated. But I love the backs of the gowns on row two the most, and Monique’s last gown slays me. My favorite Reem is the top one!

We’re back with Part II of Kristin + Kincaid’s wedding at the Lone Star state’s Gage Hotel. Yep, still in love. After the “I dos,” guests grooved to the classic rock + soul tunes of Austin-based HOTWAX. (The bride boasts her new husband stole the show with his moves, and we don’t doubt it for a minute.) Rings are kind of my thing (surprise, surprise), and Anne Marie’s photo of the couple’s ring clipped to a clothesline just tickles me. First time seeing K + K’s vibrant wedding?
