While it can be sad to bid farewell to summer (how on earth is Labor Day weekend already here?), it feels good to know that we made the most of the season, and just a peek at our summer hashtag on Instagram proves that y’all did the same! We truly loved revisiting childhood adventures and making new memories with each of you this summer, and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. To wrap things up before launching a brand new theme (and hashtag!) for fall, here’s a look back at Summer Love.
We introduced Summer Love and the purpose behind it here, as well as a fun list of Southern Doins inspired by our favorite childhood memories to help guide us. What was most important to us all summer long was sharing these memories and activities with our beaus, and growing in our relationships as a result.
We couldn’t resist the opportunity to revisit some of our all-time favorite summer editorials, and loved strolling down memory lane with Carolina On My Mind from V3 and Fun and Fancy Free from V7.
Since the inspiration from Summer Love came from our childhoods, we took turns filling out a fun interview about what we were like as kids, and what our favorite summer memories are. You can find them all here: Emily, Nicole, Marissa, Kristin, and Lisa.

On Southern Weddings TV, we made a little video about our favorite summer dates. We loved hearing about yours, too!
Finally, we shared our summer adventures and followed along with yours on Instagram via our #PassThePopsicles hashtag. As a little thank you for participating, we foot the bill on date nights for three (randomly selected) Instagram friends–hope y’all had a blast!

And that’s a wrap! It sure has been fun, and we hope you take advantage of this weekend to grab your beau and enjoy any last-minute activities you’ve been wanting to do. When you get back on Tuesday, we’ll be ready to help you welcome fall in a sweet, intentional way–here‘s a sneak peek! :)
