As promised, I’m back with more paper goodness!

Our next stop was at the For Your Party booth. FYP is a great friend of Southern Weddings (we used their goodies in this shoot, among others!), and it was so fun to meet the people behind the scenes! Tip: Follow them on Twitter – they’ll often tweet 15% off discount codes!

East of India was displaying some fun typographic posters, which I thought would be neat either displayed at the reception or as a keepsake post-wedding.

Dauphine Press was by far one of our favorite booths – everything was so light and pretty and elegant! The paper cakes made out of their patterned paper were gorgeous, too.

This fun cocktail party invitation caught my eye at the Two Paper Dolls booth. I love the casualness of the fill-in style – wouldn’t it be perfect for an engagement party, or maybe a Jack and Jill shower?

This snappy gingham porker from William Arthur would be great for a casual BBQ rehearsal dinner.

The individual cupcake carriers from B.T. Elements were one of my favorite new products at the show. They came in such cute designs, and would be perfect for holding a favor at a bridal shower or bridesmaids’ luncheon! B.T.E. was sharing lots of other cute packaging, as well, including those bright candy or popcorn holders.

A huge thank you to Cyn Kain for snapping all of these images for me! I’ll be back with more soon!

Are y’all on Instagram? The Southern Weddings ladies are! We love how easy it makes sharing photos! Lately, we’ve been breaking out our phone to share everything from the cool packages we get in the mail to what we made for dinner. Here’s a little peek into what’s been going on behind the scenes with the Southern Weddings ladies, in and out of the office.

1. Memorial Day makes us so grateful, especially Lara whose husband, father and grandfather all served our country.

2. We finally got around to decorating our office with beautiful images from our past issues.

3. Warmer weather meant the perfect conditions for Lara’s church to hold an outdoor service.

4. I love my friends who sport vintage truckers hat from rural Kentucky to our rooftop brunch.

5. Stacks and stacks of boxes came in full of V5 goodies!

6. I brushed up on my cornhole game at a friend’s backyard graduation party.

7. Emily’s wedding bracelet. “I found it in my Mom’s stash when I was home last week!”

8. Emily donned her press pass as she headed into her third National Stationery Show! (She brought back tons of paper goodies, y’all.)

9. We gushed over these sparklers that our reader models will be donning for some V5 shoots!

10. Marissa was running late to a baseball game and rocked giant velcro rollers in the car. “I’m sure Southern girls understand the importance of big hair!”

11. Marissa’s ring was at the jeweler because a diamond fell out, so she tried on her grandmother’s vintage for size. Um, we love it!

12. The fair came to town and Marissa and a few of the baseball boys went to the petting zoo. “Don’t tell my husband I think the baby goats are adorable! He wants to buy one!!”

We hope you had an great month, y’all! What were some of your highlights?

Biggest highlight was having my wedding published on y’alls site! I also loved putting together some dining furniture with the hubs, spending money on the Webster Miami for Target line, going to Destin with some of my best buddies, visiting Corey’s best friend in Dallas (for a Dave Matthews concert), AND going to an M83 concert! Whew!

Hey, y’all! I just got back from New York City, where I was reveling in one of my favorite weeks of the year – the week of the National Stationery Show!! For four days, stationers and designers big and small converge on a massive convention center in Manhattan. They set up adorable booths displaying their best and newest designs, and then buyers (from both online and brick and mortar stores) and members of the press (like me!) walk the floor checking everything out. It’s bliss, I tell you!

I did my best to capture the gloriousness with my iPhone and tweets in the moment, but thankfully photographer Cyn Kain was at my side doing what she does best. Her photos showcase the beautiful designs far better than mine ever could!

We’ve got a lot to cover, so let’s get started!

Our first booth of the day – Jan Sevadjian! I was all tingly with excitement at this point. Jan makes beautiful silk-wrapped photo albums and keepsake boxes that would be perfect for the classic bride.

The Macbeth Collection is a preppy’s paradise – for real, y’all. There pattern play is amazing, and I loved all the monogrammed goodness! Marissa tweeted that she hoped I would sneak one of the bins out for her, and I would have, if only I thought it would have fit under my shirt. Maybe next time? And how perfect would these be holding ceremony programs, or cold drinks at the reception, or given as bridesmaid gifts? Perfectly perfect.

There was so much fun ephemera – most of it glittery – at Tinsel Trading. I particularly loved the glitter letters (which would be so cute used in chair back decor, like at this wedding) and the cheerful ceremony or exit flags.

Cyn and I both loved these romantic heart-shaped cards from Oblation Papers & Press. Such beautiful letterpress!

Oh my! Next up was the Lifeguard Press booth, home of the one and only Lilly Pulitzer. It was almost too much pink to handle! (But not really, I totally loved it :) We didn’t snap a pic of them, but there were the most adorable patterned iPhone cases on display!

I loved the design of Smudge Ink’s booth, and I enjoyed looking through their new wedding albums, too. Their gift wrap and cards were adorable! (Photo on the bottom left nabbed from Nole of Oh So Beautiful Paper!)

Thank you so much to Cyn for these great photos! I’ll be back with much more soon!

I would love to go to the NSS one day. Emily, I love your tunic. Is it Boden?

    • avatar Emily reply

Hi Elizabeth! Why, thank you so much! Yes, it’s Boden :)

Thanks so much for the recap! I can’t wait to go to NSS next year!

All of the booths look like such fun! I am currently on the hunt for horse racing/keeneland themed invites, do you ladies have any suggestions on where I might be able to find or design something along those lines?

    Thanks!

Hi Mary Kate! I didn’t spot anything ready-made at the show that fits what you’re looking for, but my best advice would be to get in touch with Belle & Union (coming up in my recaps next week!). They have an amazing Southern sensibility, and I’m sure they’d design something you’d love!

Thanks for sharing! The Macbeth Collection is my favorite! I love, love all of their stuff. I have the utensil holder that I have used to hold my pens at work for the last six years. I always get so many compliments on it.
