When Ruthie sent me images of everything we had seen at the National Stationery Show, I was at a loss when it came to narrowing them down. Aside from beautiful designs on paper, the most creative minds in the stationery industry have also created some amazing gift options. I loved finding wedding cards in the same booth as wrapping paper and house-warming or bridesmaid presents (and floral arrangements and streamers)! One of our favorite booths had a gift item that we thought was too cute not to share. Read on to find out what it is and how to win it!

We’ve been longtime admirers of AHeirloom’s gorgeous state cutting boards, so seeing the heft and wood grain up close was a treat! In addition to their famous state shapes, AHeirloom also makes artwork into regular round and rectangular boards and into sparkly cake toppers!

Cute cut-outs and sheep are really all that it takes to make me stop for awhile. Egg Press’s fun illustrations in heartwarming colors were extra clever.

Mattie and Amanda of Puddleduck Paper Co. are the sweetest gals, and their booth was full of whimsical hand-lettering and bold color choices. The bright yellow ombre invitation was even more gorgeous in person!

If anyone knows how to make paper products the most fun thing you’ve ever encountered, it’s Ladyfingers Letterpress. Arley-Rose and Morgan are two incredibly talented and creative women who specialize in punny cards, hand-lettering and all things colorful and innovative. I love that they’ve added custom address stamps to their collection — Arley-Rose’s unique hand lettering gets to dress up all sorts of mail now!

Fig. 2 Design’s booth was one big celebration, with neon, glittery monograms and confetti galore. Their striped invitation suite featured the calligraphy of Lindsay Letters and a festivities card that expanded accordion-style, making the suite twice as fun.

I will confess that by the time Ruthie and I came across Live Love Studio, the booth looked so comfy and welcoming that we really just wanted to sit for awhile. Of course, owner Kate is from Tennessee and knows a thing or two about hospitality. Aside from the hanging plants and soft rug, we found seed packets, mini love notes and a print that is officially on my wish list. Cute and comfy things aside, we are seriously impressed with how Kate lives out her company tagline, “Happy paper goods to brighten the world.” Each purchase from her shop provides a meal to a hungry tummy in East Tennessee.

Little Low’s booth was a bright and happy spot in the middle of a busy intersection of booths. I am just smitten with Caitlin’s fancy and fun hand lettering and the colorful illustrations on her prints. Her regions map and produce chart were two of my favorites.

I imagine that stepping into Sugar Paper’s booth is much like stepping into a bridal boutique. Soft colors, gorgeous flowers and beautiful designs fill up the walls. I was thrilled to see note cards made especially for mom and dad on the wedding day proudly displayed. We think wedding days are momentous occasions for them, too!

Ruthie and I were first drawn into Karen Adam’s booth by her delicate and feminine illustrations. It wasn’t until we read the messages on her cards that we were truly fawning over them!

The intricacy and detail in the paper from Alexis Mattox was gorgeous! Her wooden cards and table numbers were fun, but the lacy bride and groom signs were truly lovely.

The Pink Orange was full of fun and thoughtful surprises. We loved their ampersand and Mr and Mrs designs for wedding day decor, but we were really impressed by their bridesmaid gifts. Acrylic trays reading, “Will you be my bridesmaid?” can be customized, so that your gals can remove the paper liner and replace it with their favorite pattern after they’ve agreed to be by your side down the aisle. The “Tie the Knot” earrings, a partnership with Lola Accessory Boutique, were the most adorable play on words and provide your gals with a little something pretty for the big day, too!

In fact, when we posted an image of the earrings on Instagram, y’all loved them so much that we couldn’t resist a giveaway!

I have the BEST bridesmaids. They range from sisters, to childhood friends, to sorority sisters and each one has made a huge impact on my life. Each of them is always there for me for advice, a shoulder to cry on, someone to laugh with, and someone to go on adventures with! Some of my best memories are with these girls! I am so honored that they get to stand by my side on my wedding day.

  3. avatar Alison reply

I would love to gift those sweet earrings to my bridesmaids! They are the most supportive, loving friends and sisters, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without them!

My bridesmaids are amazing women who range from my cousins, childhood friends, and even fairly new friends. They are are all family to me though, even if not by blood. I am luck to have such a sweet group of seven ladies stand by me when I wed the man of my dreams.

  7. avatar Caroline Leonard reply

I have the sweetest bridesmaids in the whole wide world!

  8. avatar Morgan reply

No question….the thing I love most about my bridesmaids is the consistency of their friendships.

  9. avatar Margaret Baggett reply

My bridesmaids were a compilation of some of my childhood friends, my new sister in law, my favorite cousin, two of my new adulthood friends, and my lifelong BEST friend as my maid of honor. I was surrounded by people who have done life with me and know my heart and soul. I wouldn’t have done it any other way! Never feel pressured to include someone you don’t really want to! That only opens the doors to unnecessary awkwardness or potential drama. Surround yourself with your favorite women on earth and your wedding day will be that much more special and perfect.

  10. avatar Nicole reply

This is absolutely everything my wedding is about. My bridesmaids are my friends, but more then that. They are my sisters and family and for them to be apart of our big day this September is going to be a huge blessing in my life.

  11. avatar Meredith reply

Lola Accessory Boutique is one of my favorite stores in my hometown, Saratoga Springs, and I love following the work of The Pink Orange on Instagram and Facebook. I also read Southern Wedding daily! So this giveaway involving all three of these companies is to me one of the best collaborations ever! So excited to see, if any, future collaborations with you all. #FavoriteThings

I am biased but I had the best bridesmaids in the world. My sister, sis-in-law, best friend since 5th grade and two of my other best girls. I’m thankful that they were there with me because they know me better than anyone, did everything to make my day go as smoothly as possible and loved me even when I was a stressed out bride.

What I love most about all 8 (yes 8!) of my bridesmaids is that each one has a very specific role in my life. They each come from my different worlds: family, high school, college, work, etc. It’s so nice that after all of these years I can find a way to say thank you to each of them!

  20. avatar Jenny Lucas reply

My bridesmaids come from different times in my life and didn’t know each other before I asked them to be a maid, but they all get along SO well and are nothing but supportive! Also, two of my bridesmaids are brides-MEN, which I think is fabulous :)

My 5 bridesmaids are all friends. I love their honesty, sincerity and friendship. We live across the 5 edges of the continental US today (Boston, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Seattle & Maui), but the moment we are in the same room again it as if no time has passed. It is the best feeling in the world.

I am the luckiest bride-to-be to have my beautiful bridesmaids be a part of all that is leading up to our wedding in 2015. They mean the absolute world to me. There isn’t anything that I do not love about these lovely ladies. They are thoughtful, sweet, kind, helpful, sincere, dependable, fun, loving, …and the list goes on and on! These darling earrings would be a sweet way for me to thank these girls for playing such a special role in my every day life and on this exciting journey to tie the knot (or pretty bow).

With one long and full day of paper-perusing behind us, Ruthie and I were happy to recharge a bit with a delicious dinner in the park with former SW intern, Alexia (who now works at Loverly!) and a couple celebrity sightings. Day Two at the Stationery Show found us re-energized and excited to see even more paper designs and inspiration to take back to the SW office.

In a rush to get some lunch in our bellies, we almost walked right past Felix Doolittle’s booth before stopping to get a better look at their illustrations. We adore the Old South feel in some of Felix’s cards, and when we mentioned how much we love the South, Felix pulled out a collection of prints that were too perfect for a Southern gent!

Moglea continues to be one of our favorite booths — their paper goodies are both beautiful to look at and an experience to hold, with thick cotton paper and a heavy letterpress impression.

Some of our favorites from Moglea’s booth this year were Meg’s new bridesmaid cards, which come with a paper flower that’s meant to be saved and pinned up somewhere, and her gold foil and watercolor prints with sentiments that were so simple and lovely.

We found eye candy and sweet sentiments galore at the Smock and Bella Figura booth. The gold foil heart invitation is a show-stopper!

The detail that Studio R puts into their designs is truly beautiful. We kept finding lace laser-cut details in their invitations and booth decor to swoon over!

The Paper Cub booth was bursting with neon and excitement! We were impressed by their entire wall full of state-themed postcards. We especially loved North Carolina’s cardinal and dogwood illustration and Georgia’s peaches.

I was really excited to find 9th Letter Press’s booth on the second day, especially since I developed a paper crush on them last year and also because I knew their booth was going to be pineapple-themed for hospitality! They delivered with hand-painted pineapples on their walls, a coffee station, and fun new designs. I really loved their notecard coupons for breakfast in bed, coffee, and more. Y’all will also be happy to hear that our favorite print last year, the Mason Jar Measuring Guide, will soon be printed digitally, making it more affordable.

Maybe it’s because Ink Meets Paper is a husband and wife duo, but I feel that they really get love. Their designs are simple, sweet and a little surprising — like their envelopes with a special message inside, their new confetti notecards, or their line of toast cards, advice cards and more that are made especially for weddings.

Stepping into One Canoe Two’s booth is like going to summer camp and all of their designs contain a little dose of nostalgia along with pops of color. Doesn’t their citrus grocery list remind you of our Freshly Squeezed shoot?

Visiting Rifle Paper Co. is always a treat and we were happy to see some Southern influence in Anna’s famous style. Orange and lemon blossoms were abundant!

I’ve got one more post up my sleeve, y’all! Stay tuned tomorrow for the last of the paper pretties we discovered at the show and an exciting treat.

One of the most impressive parts of the Stationery Show — aside from the truly vast amount of booths in one building — is the amount of personality in the convention center. Seeing each designer’s take on similar themes, from indie to preppy and sarcastic to sentimental, makes the trip consistently packed with visual stimulation. Part of why we love paper is the same as why we love weddings: each design represents a unique story. Though our feet were aching by the time we reached this part of the show, we couldn’t resist continuing until it ended for the day just so we could see more designers’ takes on traditional greeting card sentiments!

Oh, Belle and Union! You get us every time. It was so difficult culling down the dozens of photos we took of this booth to just a few. Designer, Meg and her sweet Southern products are such a perfect fit for SW that we couldn’t resist sharing more than a peek at her amazing booth and just a few of her new products. My favorite parts of her booth were the Southern vintage hardware and the produce-stuffed floral arrangement — the perfect complement to Meg’s tea towels, recipe cards and wooden recipe box.

Belle and Union makes our favorite Southern phrases even cuter than usual!

Dear Hancock’s booth is always a favorite of mine. Their floral illustrations are bright and cheery, making their cards a great option for spring weddings! How fun is that football card for groomsmen?

We got a good laugh perusing Emily McDowell’s designs, but Ruthie and I both let out an “aww” when we saw these two cards on display.

Farewell Paperie (top) spoke our language with their new marriage card — Sweet Tea Society perfection, we think! At the Pink Orchid Press booth (bottom), interactive connect-the-dots cards made us want to receive them from our beaus!

Love and warm fuzzy feelings were rampant at the Oh Hello Friend booth. Their cards put sentiments we’ve all felt into adorable paper form, and we loved seeing little packaging details throughout the shelves! Heart-printed tape and wooden gift tags would be adorable for wedding favors and gifts!

Whimsical hand lettering and fun die-cut shapes at Creative Lab Press drew us in immediately and we instantly fell in love with this new-to-us stationer. We were positively smitten with the state-shaped greeting cards! Luckily, more states (including Texas and other Southern gems) are being added to the collection soon. We think they’d be perfect for relocated newlyweds!

Two more letterpressed favorites were discovered at the Ladies of Letterpress booth (a collective of letterpress-savvy gals with tons of creativity). The beautifully pressed invitation suite from Smokey Road Press was both rustic and bright at the same time. On the other side, Missive crafts four words into the best combination we know.

It was as if these “happy engagement” cards from Iron Curtain Press came straight from my own thoughts! When you’re happy about an impending marriage, sometimes all that needs to be said is, “EEEE!!!”

Praxium Press was another Southern favorite at the show. Cards based on banana pudding, sweet potatoes and okra go right up our alley.

Ruthie and I were so happy to meet the couple behind Betsy Ann Paper. Their happy yellow booth was a welcome boost toward the end of the day, too, and displayed the sweetest illustrations and paintings. Their wedding collection was a darling mix of traditional and whimsical. I adore the chapel card!

While we love pretty prints, we especially appreciate those that have a message. On the left, the “Bless this home” print from Fawnsberg would make a thoughtful wedding shower gift. On the right, Starshaped Press’ Farmer’s Market print reminds us of Southern retro design and the bounty of the South.

Stay tuned, y’all! I’m only halfway done sharing our favorites from the Stationery Show. Which design do you think fits your personality best?
