As some of you may know, the Southern Weddings gals moved into a new office back in May. We’re pretty well settled in at this point, but if you can believe it, we still don’t have much on our walls! That’s pretty much a travesty for visual people like us.

Last week we took the step of buying frames, but now we have to decide what goes in them… and that’s where y’all come in! We need to choose just SIX perfect images from all of the past Southern Weddings shoots and features. SIX. Talk about pressure! We’ve narrowed it down to ten, but would love your help to make the final decision. If you would, please weigh in with your top six from the ten images below — or, if you can’t choose, we’ll just take your one favorite :)

No. 1: A perfectly preppy table shot from our V4 Charleston shoot with A Bryan Photo and Calder Clark (see more here!).

No. 2: Mason jars go champagne sophisticated with help from Jose Villa and Lisa Vorce in this V4 shoot (see more here!).
No. 3: Punch for two? Yes, please! Thanks to Summer Watkins and Braedon Flynn for this beautiful image from a V4 shoot!

No. 4: An epic and oh-so-Southern portrait from a real wedding by Tanja Lippert, originally seen in V4. Look for this wedding to hit the blog soon!

No. 5: A favorite bride + bridesmaid shot from one of our V3 photoshoots with Jose Villa.

No. 6: A gorgeous anemone bouquet (by MG Floral) from one of our V4 real weddings, shot by Melissa Schollaert. See more from Natalia + Levi’s wedding here + here!
No. 7: Oh yes, the seersucker wedding gown. You didn’t think we’d get away without mentioning it, did you? Shot by Veil and Bow for a V4 editorial.

No. 8: We snuck in a little more V3 love with this pretty shot of fresh, Southern beauty from the cover editorial. Thank you, Veil and Bow! See more here.
No. 9: A gorgeous ceremony set-up from our V4 Williamsburg shoot with Katie Stoops and Courtney Spencer.

No. 10: Last but not least, this majestic hot air balloon shot by Jose Villa from a V3 editorial.

So what do you think, ladies and gents? Comment below with your top six prettiest, most Southern picks! And good luck to you — I’m guessing it will be a hard decision!!

I know, I know… last week, I said the Paper, Cotton, and Flour shoot was my favorite from V4. And now, here I am this week, introducing you to another of my favorite features! Can you blame me, though? Courtney Spencer of Merriment Events and I emailed incessantly for months to pull all of these beautiful details together, and the wonderful Katie Stoops surpassed our expectations for capturing them to share with y’all. I am so, so pleased with how everything we built in Williamsburg turned out, and I hope you all love this shoot, too!

The Lettered Olive designed these breathtaking invitations for us using calligraphy by Elizabeth Porcher Jones. Wouldn’t handwritten, personally-addressed invite letters be an amazing idea for an intimate celebration? Even if you were having a larger wedding, you could still do something similar, but write “Dear family and friends” instead of individual names.

Our bride’s gorgeous gown is the “Arabella” from Christos. It is stunning in person!

Out of all the gorgeous and historic locations in Colonial Williamsburg, we settled on the spa as the spot for our ceremony.

Courtney was not only the amazing stylist for this shoot, but the florist, as well! She did a wonderful job transforming the wholesale flowers from Fifty Flowers into centerpieces and bouquets for our bride and bridesmaids.

Our classic tablescape was set on a Colonial Williamsburg porch. I particularly love the nods to Virginia culture, like the boxwoods and peanuts!

A few more details? Oh, okay!

For dessert? Monogrammed tarts and a classic white wedding cake.

Finally, the butter on the biscuit: the Beau Bar! Trade your tie for a bow tie, y’all!

Be sure to pick up a copy of V4 to see all the details!

The talented vendors who made this shoot happen:

As promised, I’m back with a mini preview of our latest V4 shoot! This time around we were shooting in lovely and historic Colonial Williamsburg. Just Sierra and I made the trip, which went pretty much according to plan except for that time we got semi-lost in the cornfields of Virginia and that other time a flash thundershower threatened to ruin our perfectly set table. Despite those two setbacks, it was a fabulous shoot! I can’t wait to share the final images in September, but until then, here’s a little behind the scenes look…

Gorgeous gardens and magical spots abound in Colonial Williamsburg! We took advantage of several different areas throughout the property on the day we were shooting.

On the left, you see Virginia-based photographer Katie Stoops hard at work making photographic magic. This should be another all-film shoot, thanks to the fine folks at Richard Photo Lab! I always find it amusing to see what’s just beyond the frame of a perfectly manicured shot, so on the right, you can see a small amount of the props, styling equipment, and other paraphernalia we were toting around all day.

Sierra’s going to be so mad at me for sharing this photo again (I already posted it on Twitter!), but I wanted y’all to see her in the makeup chair, even if she does look grumpy! (Which, for the record, she definitely was not.) Sierra took one for the team once again, posing as a bridesmaid along with two other Southern Weddings readers. On the left you can also spot Natalie, the makeup half of the fab hair and makeup duo Avenue 42. On the right is Courtney of Merriment Events, who had a huge role is bringing this shoot to life, both conceptually in the weeks beforehand and stylistically on the day-of. And all that, and about five months pregnant, to boot!

And that’s about that! You’ll have to wait until September to see the REALLY good stuff, and believe me, this shoot is packed full of fantastic ideas and custom details (if I do say so myself). I can’t wait to share!!

A few notes: we’re still accepting real weddings for print, and will be until July 15! See this post for all the details, then email Emily. If you’re interested in getting in on the V4 ad action (and oh, you want to be), just drop Whitney a line. She’ll get you taken care of!

Yes Emily, you are correct. That photo does not properly reflect me at all! I was focusing on something out the window. Probably George Washington walking down the street.

So glad y’all had a good experience in Williamsburg!!! It’s my second home and I can’t wait to see the whole shoot :)

You’re a lucky girl, Lisa!! Wiliamsburg is beautiful, the people are wonderful, and we loved spending time there!
