Hi y’all! I hate to interrupt the Southern escort card parade for even a moment, but I wanted to break in and tell you about a few last minute print things I think you’ll want to hear.

REAL WEDDINGS!

In our effort to assemble the most WONDERFUL collection of real Southern weddings for your reading enjoyment and planning inspiration, we are looking for ONE additional real wedding for V4. I will say that the bar has been set EXTREMELY high by the ten weddings we’ve already confirmed, so please, only send your best! Photographers, please first read our FAQ page and then send submissions straight to me (emily at iloveswmag dot com). Weddings must have taken place in the Southeastern United States.  I look forward to seeing what you’ve got!

BOW TIES!

Let’s just say there will be some MAJOR bow tie goodness coming your way in V4. Photographers, if you have a fabulous photo of gents rocking bows, please send it our way for consideration within the next 24 hours. Please send submissions to howdy at iloveswmag dot com with the subject line BOWTIES.  We will be sure to let you know if we’re able to use your image!

PRINT ADS!

Lastly, Whitney asked me to remind y’all that you only have a few (as in, fewer than I can count on one hand) days to get your ad in V4! V4 is looking SO gorgeous, gals, and we can’t wait to share. If you’d like to be a part of the festivities, just fill out this form and Whitney will be in touch!

Now, carry on with the Southern goodness!

Okay ladies, get ready for an intense dose of Southern cuteness! Victoria and the team at Honey Bee Invites dreamed up the most adorable seersucker bow tie escort cards, and we couldn’t be more in love! The photos from The Studio B (taken at Star Provisions in Atlanta) show them off to perfection, too.

From Victoria:

“Honey Bee Invites believes seersucker and bow ties are the two most Southern details you can add to your special day. We decided to make DIY mini bow ties out of seersucker fabric! We were able to find seersucker in many colors, but loved the red and yellow combo. We had so much fun brainstorming and crafting for this challenge!”

Thanks so much, ladies! Readers, Honey Bee Invites actually sent in TWO fabulous concepts, and we’ll be showing the other tomorrow morning! In the meantime, though, feel free to comment on this post if you love these cuties!

I love love love these! I don’t know if it’s just the area where I grew up or all of Texas, but we don’t usually do escort cards or seated dinners. It’s usually a massive buffet that people visit all night long… whenever they want! (I guess it’s kind of hard to coordinate a Texas-sized seated dinner!) If I were doing escort cards, though, I would want these! So perfect!

Sending out a call for the ultimate Southern anything reminds me of just how many goodies we take pride in in the South. For example, we’ve gone a whole week without featuring a sweet tea concept, and it’s difficult to get more Southern than that! Luckily, Chelsea from Southern Fried Paper is here to set us straight with her adorable escort cards. Thanks also to After Yes for planning the display, and Sarah Kate, Photographer, for the lovely images!

From Chelsea:

“What’s more Southern than sweet tea?! We crafted small paper envelopes of tea with names and table assignments on the front of each. After guests find their name, they can sip a big glass of Southern sweet tea as they find their seat!”

Thanks so much, ladies! Readers, if you love this idea, be sure to let us know in the comments! And remember, you’re welcome to give a vote of support to more than one concept.

Laurien: Hi Laurien! I am from Australia, and my mum is a Kiwi! she lived in the deep South for about 6 years as a young lass (and was legally adopted by a Southern family) and so consequently I have grown up with alot of Southern traditions, cooking, stories and memories! I feel a kinship, and so consequently I am going to have a few select Southern touches at my wedding in March. Sweet Tea will be one of them!
