This is a very exciting time in the Southern Weddings office! Gorgeous images from our V6 photo shoots, dreamy real weddings, lots of Southern images, and the prettiest of surcees are rolling into our office daily, and Nicole is already hard at work creating beautiful pages. Y’all may have seen a sneak peek or two if you follow us on Instagram, but I have to reiterate–this issue is going to be a good one. We can’t wait to share it in November!

Even though we have been wrapped up in all things V6 lately, we all still thumb through copies of V5 regularly. There is so much wonderful, meaningful, Southern inspiration in those pretty pages! We are so happy to announce that you can now flip through all of the V5 goodness yourself whenever you want, because V5 is now digital! Click here to take a look. Of course, we also still have plenty of copies available to purchase in the Southern Weddings Shop, along with V4 and V2.

As a little refresher of what can be found in V5, or an introduction if you’re new to Southern Weddings, here are a few favorite shots from some V5 editorials!

The Yellow Rose of Texas, photographed by Ryan Ray Our V5 cover was taken from this lovely shoot!

My Kentucky Rose, photographed by Jen Huang. This picture is framed in the stairwell leading up to the SW office, so we see it every day!

Family Heirlooms, photographed by Eric Kelley. This shoot will definitely go down in history as a Southern Weddings favorite.

Freshly Squeezed, photographed by KT Merry. This colorful shoot was inspired by an iconic Southern favorite, Lilly Pulitzer.

Blue Ribbon Bounty, photographed by Joey and Jessica. A dozen Southern pies were used in the making of this fun shoot!

This is just a tiny sampling of the goodness found in V5, so be sure to take a look at the digital edition for lots more! We’d love to hear–what’s your favorite part of V5?

When it comes to sourcing fun props and additions for the magazine, our Southern Surcees section is definitely one of our favorites to collect. We love pulling our favorite Southern finds, whether they’re doggie bow ties or mini pies! You bet we got our hands on as many monograms as possible (Marissa was dying over them!) and did not scrimp on anything sweet tea-inspired!

P.S. You can buy Southern Weddings V5 right here for more goodies!

Y’all, we could not get over how adorable these custom grits bags were! Do you notice any familiar names on these guys? They’re Lara’s + Emily Ley’s little girl and boy, respectively.

We had a very special guest model our doggie bow ties for this issue. Photographer Nancy Ray’s great dane, Winston looks mighty dapper!

The monogrammed bridesmaid shirts below are one of our favorite additions to the surcees feature. Who doesn’t love a crisp oversized shirt with a bright pink monogram? We about died when the lovely ladies at Shop Memento sent us samples in our own monograms!

Oh my, that’s a lot of Southern goodness. All of these items have made our prop closet look mighty cute, but now it’s time for another V5 giveaway!

Enter to win the item of your choice by commenting below with your favorite find! Is it A) The Butter My Butt and Call Me A Biscuit book, B) the pink bow clutch, C) the engraved iced tea spoons D) The “Bless Your Heart” pendants, the E) Lilly Pulitzer iPhone 4/4S case in Delta Zeta or F) the state tea towels in North Carolina or Dallas, Texas?

Be sure to enter before April 5. Good luck, y’all!

My favorite find definitely has to be the “Butter My Butt & Call Me a Biscuit” book. Southern blooms hold a special place in the heart of the South. We’re lucky to boast the most beautiful flowers, from sweet honeysuckle to romantic wisteria. And you can bet your tail that we take great pride in the flowers of our birth states, as they never fail to remind us of home. It’s only appropriate then, that in each of our issues, we highlight the bouquets that represent the South in subtle but meaningful ways. We’re loving the way this came together with the help of Haute Horticulture’s floral design, Annabella Charles’ great photo eye and pretty calligraphy from Natalie Chang.

While the blooms in these bouquets speak for themselves, part of the fun is coming up with a creative way to wrap them. We loved the idea of using a white pleated ribbon on the gorgeous arrangement above. After a fruitless online search, we just made one ourselves!

We couldn’t resist tying off the strawberry fields-inspired bouquet below with a matching bow tie from Mo’s Bows. Oh-so-Southern, indeed!

Y’all know monograms are our thing. We flipped when we saw this sweet embroidered charm from Daydream Stitching.

If you’re looking for more Southern blooms, pick up a copy of V5 here or take a peek at our Pinterest Board dedicated to them!

Which one is your favorite?
