I’m quite the indecisive person, but when it came to choosing my favorite feature in Southern Weddings V3, I had no doubt! Something Blue by Jose Villa took the (red velvet) cake, in my humble opinion.

When I got a sneak peek of this gorgeousness I literally wanted to live in this feature. And you know what? I still do. The clean white and the lovely shades of blue just make my heart happy!

Honestly, how could we go wrong with Jose Villa and Joy Thigpen? This fabulous duo makes everything look so lovely! Let’s not forget, though, that most of the lovely details were gathered by none other than the uber-talented Emily Ayer, Southern Weddings’ Art Director.

I love behind-the-scenes secrets and one of the best things about this shoot is that none of the models were professionals! In fact, our “bride” was Joy’s beautiful assistant, and her ‘maids were real-life, engaged Southern Weddings readers! Congratulations, ladies!

Oh my milk glass and lemonade! Dear Joy, can you please come to my house and set my table?

From the gorgeous calligraphy from SW favorite Moya Minns to the delicious-looking cake from Fearrington Village, I could pin up this whole page and be filled with inspiration for days! No joke, y’all!

Taking these little trips back into V3 is making me all the more excited for y’all to see V4! It will be worth the wait, I promise!

It’s all in the details.

From the type of cake (red velvet, please!) to the personalized vows, the little details are what sets a wedding apart. The details are what makes the personalities of the couple shine through.

The above photos show some of the gorgeous details at a sunny wedding planned by Carillon Weddings, one of our fantastic Florida sponsors. As a double whammy, Rae Leytham, the photographer, is also a Southern Weddings advertiser!

Want to be amongst the likes of fabulous vendors like Carillon Weddings and Rae Leytham? Your chance to see your ad in print is here! There are only 4 days to secure an ad spot in Southern Weddings V4! The last day to get an ad in our biggest and best print issue is this Friday, July 15th. All you have to do is fill out this form to get in touch. I can’t wait to get to know you!

Have y’all heard of Pinterest? It’s a genius (and VERY addicting, fair warning) visual bookmarking website that lets you collect inspiration for any number of things (I use it to gather recipes, home decor inspiration, and OF COURSE, wedding loveliness).

Well, your favorite Southern wedding blog is on Pinterest, too! Check out our boards right here. We pin the best nuggets of Southern inspiration — including bouquets, fashion, groom style, adorable details, ceremonies, sweets — from every post, and we sort delightful details by color, too! (Just like in our real wedding galleries!)

Intrigued? Head here for all the details on how to get started with your own account! And remember, the best part is that if you find an image you love, you can always click it and head straight back to the SW post with all the vendor details and bride interview.

P.S. Dying for even more Southern Weddings + Pinterest goodness? Several of our editors have their own Pinterest accounts, too! See Emily, Lara, Marissa, Whitney, Sierra, + Nicole!

I’ve heard so many good things about Pinterest lately! I requested an invite from the site last week but still haven’t gotten anything from them :-( Would any of you SW ladies have an invite to spare? It would really make this girl’s day! :-)
