Oh man. It’s been eight months since we put V3, the third issue of Southern Weddings Magazine, to rest, and I still have a hard time picking a favorite feature. You think I’d be tired of them by now, but no, ma’am.
My eventual pick? I had to go with our cover story. I still can’t get over how perfectly I think V3’s cover face represents all that’s good about the South in general and Southern Weddings in particular. Fresh, young, fun, but still elegant.
Also, it’s no secret around these parts how much I adore Joey + Jessica (a.k.a. Veil and Bow) and their work. I think they knocked it out of the park with this shoot, making it a shoe-in for my favorite V3 feature.
Another little nugget that is kind of a secret? I’m not ashamed to admit that my eyes might have welled up a bit the first time I saw these images. Lara sent me a mock-up of the cover on my iPhone, and it was just perfect… and better than anything I could have expected or imagined.
Anyway, enough of my gushfest. Marissa will be in next week sharing her favorite feature (in a hopefully less-emotional way than I did!). In the meantime, you can check out all the details from this shoot in its editorial gallery here, and the rest of the editorial galleries here.
