Southern Weddings Weekly Round-Up

Holy moly, y’all! After a big week of proofing V4, we’ve finally sent that baby to print! There have been lots of dance parties in the office lately, so you’ve got a lot to look forward to! Of course, we had so many pretty features on the blog this week, too. As Lara said, “gorgeousness abounds!”

We love starting our Mondays with a Southern Spotting. These giant boxwood monograms are impressive and beautiful! Can I have one in my front yard?

We love a tradition ’round these parts. This week, Marissa and Sierra partnered up to teach us all about the Sorority Sing. How much fun does that sound?

Southern Bride of the Month, Lori told us all about her upcoming nuptials with her hubs-to-be, Sean. Her favorite part of wedding planning? Thinking of all the details that represent their relationship and personalities!

One of my favorite parts about fall is the state fair! It’s no surprise, then, that this state fair-inspired shoot from Southern Fried Paper stole my heart.

Marissa had a difficult time making decisions for her dream Southern wedding (or shall we say vow renewal?), but with some help from Emily, her inspiration boards look perfectly classic and pink. We think it’s very “Marissa!”

This week’s featured Real Wedding Gallery was a beach beauty! Check out Katie + Clark’s gallery here!

We love Real Weddings!

Victoria + Rusty’s Ford Plantation wedding was a Southern beauty! We love how many significant details the couple included. Take it all in here and here.

We’re so impressed that Victoria + Michael’s sweet garden wedding not only looks beautiful, but does so in 95 degree weather! See it here and here.

Announcements are Fab!

Who likes diamonds? If you’re local to North Carolina and near Lexington, the Sheila Bayes Diamond Dash is tomorrow! Register here for the chance to win a beautiful diamond after competing in fun events around town.

We love all paper goods here at Southern Weddings, but we’re particularly big fans of letterpress. We jumped for joy when Annemie at Megapixie Photography passed along this crazy-good offer at Parklife Press: 20% off any order started before October 7. Check out her blog for more details and don’t be scared by the week deadline — you don’t need to finalize anything yet.

Have a terrific weekend, my dears!

Those monograms? Pretty sure I need one. Although the hubs would not entirely love the idea.

Happy Friday, lovelies! This week was BIG for us because we sent a full-of-wedding-awesome-and-more V4 to the printers! We couldn’t be more excited to share it with you and we’re anxiously counting down the days until we have it on shelves and in our hands. Until that day comes (mark your calendars: October 25), we’ll have to hold over with some lovely and inspiring blog features.

Monday started off with an engagement session that appeals to both our country roots and city life. This happy couple looks perfectly at ease (and in love!) in both settings. Which do you prefer?

Ain’t nothin’ more appropriate for a Southern bash than a cowboy and cowgirl cocktail! That’s why we love these etched glasses from Rolf Glass. Aren’t they great for your bridesmaids and groomsmen? We think so, too. Enter to win a set here.

You heard all about Emily and her beau, now catch up on their wedding venue, why they chose it and the funny story behind how they found it! It’s genius, I tell you.

This South Florida inspiration shoot puts a welcome twist on beach weddings by playing off the citrus fruits grown in the region. Photographer Jessica Lorren even climbed up on some trees herself to get the bright props that make this shoot special.

This week’s featured Real Wedding Gallery was Lindsey + Tyson! Remember them from V3? We’re still head over heels for their pink and peach color scheme and lush flowers.

Real Weddings make us happy:

Beverly + Curtis’s outdoor wedding had us swooning over the details. I can’t get over their pecan orchard vows and great lighting. See it all here and here.

Non + KG’s pink and green wedding pulled at our heartstrings. We love the intimate feeling and beautiful table details. See it here and here.

Who’s ready for the weekend? We’re moving into the last official days of summer, so this weekend I’ll be soaking it up! I am, however, very excited for scarf and pumpkin spice latte season. Who’s with me?

I love starting off the week with Emily’s Southern Spotting! We’ve seen plenty of chandeliers, but none as glamorous and Southern as magnolia ones!

We loved getting to know y’all so much with our Sit a Spell Series, that we’re sharing our dream weddings to bond over! I gathered up some of my favorite images and told you all about my dream Southern wedding.

This week’s featured Real Wedding Gallery is Caitlin + Charlie. Their Florida nuptials were classically Southern!

We’re grateful for the beautiful weddings on the blog this week!

Carolyn + Dustin’s colorful museum wedding had us head-over-heels. We love her big, bright bouquet and their adorable getaway photos! Take a gander here and here.

Bethany + Caleb’s handmade wedding came with an adorable proposal story. Their North Carolina wedding was laid back and stylish. See it here and here.

Lauren + Tommy’s wedding was a stunner and full of love and handmade details. Despite the Oklahoma heat, the bride and groom looked lovely! Check it out here and here.
