Bridal Market :: Away We Go!

Marissa and I have been counting down the days to Bridal Market for months now and suddenly, it’s here! Yippee! Time flies when you’re making a magazine, right Marissa? MK: Yes, ma’am! I just had to pop in and say how excited I am, y’all!

Our suitcases are packed (full of Southern Weddings V4s), I’ve printed out my plane tickets, and I could not be more excited! Those New York yankees need a good dash of Southern love and we are happy to oblige!

We are flying in early on Saturday morning and dashing right to the Piers. We have a full schedule of shows to attend and we will be reporting every little detail back to you next week. We’re thrilled to learn all about the upcoming wedding trends and share each and every one of them with you! Be sure to follow Marissa and I (as well as Southern Weddings) on Twitter for all of the tweet-coverage over the weekend. There are sure to be some gorgeous gown Twitpics involved!

Just swing by Coren Moore, Ivy + Aster or Aruna Seth’s booths at Pier 94 to pick up your very own copy of this deliciously huge issue. We are huge fans of Coren Moore’s classic bridesmaid dresses and have you seen Ivy + Aster’s whimsical gowns? Not to mention Aruna Seth’s stunning shoes! We’re thrilled to partner with these fabulous designers and give you the chance to pick up your copy of Southern Weddings V4 weeks before it hits shelves! Copies of Southern Weddings V4 will also be available at the COUTURE show so be sure to grab one while you can. They will be gone faster than you can say ‘sweet tea’!

Southern Weddings V4 Cover Reveal :: Bold and Beautiful Blue!

SURPRISE, y’all! We just couldn’t wait any longer! We’re so excited to reveal the cover of V4!!!

We are all smitten with the bold and beautiful blue, as well as the always and completely gorgeous work of one Mr. Jose Villa. We love you, Jose!! This gorgeous gem, featuring real-life Southern sweethearts Amy and Quincy, was shot at Dunaway Gardens in Georgia, and we can’t wait for you to feast your eyes on the whole shoot! Oh Heavens, this issue is jam-packed with goodness!

And oh yes, remember how we’ve been talking about how fat V4 is? Here’s proof!

Impressive, huh?

After months of bursting at the seams, we are so excited to share this first snippet of V4 with y’all! We hope you love her as much as we do, and can’t wait for you to crack open a copy of your very own so soon! YEEHAW!!!

Pre-orders will begin shipping out in less than a week (next Wednesday, October 19!), so if you want to be the first of your friends to snag a copy, go here to place your order! The rest of the copies are scheduled to land on newsstands on October 25, but it’s entirely possible they might show up sooner, so keep your eyes peeled!

AND, now that the cat is out of the bag, it’s time to start up the V4 twitpic contest! As soon as a V4 is in your possession, tweet us a photo on Twitter with the hashtag #SWV4! Tweet us a pic of the issue at your local newsstand, a pic of you with your copy or feel free to get creative! You’ll be in the running for endless SW bragging rights, and maybe some other cool prizes. And yes, these entries will be included in our official V4 photo contest, which will launch on the on-sale date of October 25!

MY WORD! This cover is SO dreamy, I think I am in LOVE! Plus, blue is my favorite color. So excited to be planning a wedding when I can be armed with this gem of a magazine. Cannot wait to get my paws on it! Well done, lovely ladies!

What a fantastic magazine! I have been on the lookout for this issue and actually let out a little gasp when I saw it! I am getting married at Dunaway Gardens next May, so to see the beautiful photos taken there made me fall in love with the place all over again. Here at the Southern Weddings office, we are BURSTING with anticipation. Not a day goes by when we don’t ooh and ahh over the gloriousness of V4, and we can’t wait till each and every one of you gets to see the goodness for yourself!
