Southern Weddings Weekly Round-Up

by in Main on

Happy Friday, friends! We are overjoyed that after a year of hard work, countless memories and laughs, quite a few handfuls of pumpkin M&M’s and Gobstoppers, and many late nights in the office over the past few weeks, V6 is off at the printers! That means that in just 25 days, we’ll get to share it with all of you!! There’s still time to place your preorder in our Shop, so be sure to do that if you want to be one of the first to see the newly finished issue. Also, a special heads-up to our local friends: the V6 launch party will be held on November 14, so save the date!

Are y’all loving Kristin’s “Hints for a Happy Marriage” series as much as we are? This week’s hint is a tough one, but a great one!

Yay for real weddings!

There are few things that make my heart sing like a long distance love that turns into a beautiful marriage! Emily and Tripper’s wedding was so classic and lovely. See it here.

After a macaroni and cheese dinner first date and a Hawaiian proposal, Elizabeth and Eric were married in a romantic Memphis wedding! See it here.

I can’t help but smile looking at Ashley and Alex’s wedding! Their joy overflows in every image from their South Carolina nuptials. See it here.

We love seeing our Southern Bride Bloggers‘ weddings! Tori and Andrew’s wedding was just as lovely and stylish as we imagined it would be. See it here.

Leah and Austen had the prettiest wedding in one of our favorite places, Fearrington Village! We loved seeing their overflowing-with-love North Carolina wedding. See it here.

Don’t forget!

Today is Facebook Friday, and we’re delighted to have an engagement session by one of our Blue Ribbon Vendors, Bamber Photography, on our Facebook page today! Be sure to take a look here.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I love the flair that a gold table cloth adds to a reception! So much elegance in something so simple.

It has been a little quiet on the blog this week, but only because we’ve been putting the finishing touches on V6 before she goes to print…and launches in 32 days! Don’t forget to place your preorder to be one of the first to get your hands on this beauty. We think you’ll love her!

So many dreamy weddings this week!

West Point grads Ali and Jonathan didn’t let a little rain dampen (forgive the pun) their spirits at their romantic South Carolina wedding! See it here.

A theme of roots and growth was so fitting for Kimberly and Salvador’s happy wedding, especially since they were married at Kimberly’s parents’ farm. See it here.

Kortney and Kyle’s wedding in the mountains of North Carolina was the perfect combination of rustic and feminine. See it here.

Danielle and Chris’ Florida wedding was the stuff beach wedding dreams are made of! See it here.

Last but not least!
It’s Facebook Friday, and y’all know what that means! We have a sweet engagement session to share over on our Facebook page, by KT Crabb, so be sure to take a look here!

Congratulations to everyone getting married this weekend, including two of our Southern Bride Bloggers, Lerissa and Brooks!

Happy weekend!

Guess what? Only 39 days till V6!! Have you preordered your copy yet? Remember, you can also purchase V4, V5, and V6 together in The Collection, so if you’re new around these parts, that’s the best way to catch up on all of the amazing Southern inspiration for your wedding day!

We are still getting a kick out of saying “southernweddings.com” out loud, and I don’t suspect that excitement will die down anytime soon! To find out more about why this is such an exciting change for us, check out our first post from our new domain.

We loved working our way through the #summerdoin calendar, so we couldn’t possibly dive into fall until we did a little recap of our favorites. P.S. We’re now taking suggestions for our upcoming Southern #holidaydoin calendar!

Yay, real weddings!

Kristen and Clint are an amazing example of overcoming obstacles and focusing on what truly matters on your wedding day. See their wedding here.

Ali and Austin’s love story (which they told us from both of their perspectives!) is adorable, and they had the prettiest lavender Texas wedding. See it here.

Joanna and Sellars were married on an Alabama plantation that, unbeknownst to Joanna when she found it, had been in the groom’s family generations before! See their wedding here.

Any bride who quotes Gone With the Wind in her interview is alright by us! Lindsey and Adam’s wedding was the epitome of classic Southern elegance. See it here.

Before you go…

It’s Facebook Friday! Stop by our Facebook page to see an engagement session photographed by Bamber Photography.

Have a delightful weekend!
