Oh happy day!! Many of y’all already have V6 in your hands (if you pre-ordered, your order is on its way!), and even though our official launch isn’t till Tuesday, we couldn’t be more excited about our new issue popping up a little early. We can hardly wait to hear what y’all think–don’t forget to use #SWV6 and tag us on social media if you take pictures with your magazines!

Just in case you missed it this morning, we debuted our gorgeous new cover! Don’t miss the sweet story behind our decision, as well as pictures from the unique opportunity we had to reveal it to our gorgeous cover girl, here!

As if that wasn’t enough excitement for the week, Lara and Nicole were tickled pink to be featured on The Everygirl! After the teaser you can see in that fun feature, we finally gave y’all a tour around our cozy office.

Now onto the lovely weddings from the week!

College sweethearts Mycah and Todd filled their beautiful Florida wedding with Southern food, sweet details, and adorable nods to their alma mater. See it here.

Melissa and Justin were married at an absolutely stunning venue in North Carolina. Despite the rain that day, their portraits are incredible! See it here.

From looking at their glamorous wedding pictures, you’d never guess that Heidi and Garth are dairy farmers! Rich contrasts like this are one of our favorite things about the South, so we love their West Texas wedding. See it here.

Danielle and Sam’s joyful big day put such a smile on our faces this week! We love her tea-length dress, their colorful flowers, and the details inspired by their respective hometowns. See it here.

Last but not least!

We’re giving away a Sandals honeymoon! There’s still time to enter to win this amazing trip here.

We’re sharing an engagement session by Scott Hopkins Photography on our Facebook page for Facebook Friday, so stop by and take a look!

Have a happy weekend!

My best vacation happed just recently when my sweetie planned a trip for us to Salem, MA where he purposed by carving “Will you marry me?” in a pumpkin. Romantic and thoughtful! Thanks the man I’m going to marry and I would love to be able to give him this amazing gift back. :)

As y’all are reading this, good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, we will be flipping through hot-off-the-press copies of V6 and packing them up to send out next week! To get an idea of the amusing nature of our day today, take a look at these recaps of magazine delivery days for V5 and V4–it sure is hard to explain to our new delivery company that no, we don’t have a loading dock, and yes, the magazines go into the garage!

Another source of excitement this week? We’re giving away a Sandals honeymoon! Enter by leaving a comment about your favorite vacation here. Good luck!

We know it’s too early to start playing Christmas music or decorating, but it’s never too early to start your holiday shopping! We launched some adorable holiday goodies in the Shop this week, which you can read about here.

Kristin shared her next tip in her amazing Hints for a Happy Marriage series: take a deep breath. See it here.

We love real weddings!

Baylor and Daniel’s nautical wedding was held at a venue which has been a favorite destination in Baylor’s family for four generations–so meaningful! See it here.

We can’t resist a Southern glam wedding! Kara and Jon’s plantation wedding fit that description to a tee. See it here.

Frances and Joe’s wedding has me dreaming of a trip to the South Carolina Lowcountry. What a breathtaking place for a wedding! See it here.

Katherine and Matt’s wedding was so bright and happy, we can’t help but smile looking at it! See it here.

Anne and Eric’s elegant loft wedding combined a fabulously modern venue with a gorgeous fall color palette. See it here.

Before you go…

We have a lovely engagement session by Sara Logan on our Facebook page today, so stop by and take a look!

Happy Friday! We started this week getting re-focused on our mission statement and what matters most at the Making Things Happen conference. I know I speak for all of us when I say we are more ready than ever to start mailing out V6 in a few weeks to share that mission with you! Don’t forget to preorder your copy–there are only 18 days left till 11/12/13!

Our favorite office activity at the moment is watching our event page as friends near and far RSVP to the V6 launch party. We can hardly wait to celebrate, and we hope y’all can join us! See this post for more information and RSVP here. P.S. Don’t delay–tickets are already going fast!

Get ready to swoon over this week’s real weddings!

Rochelle and Casey’s baseball game first date led to a long-distance relationship, a unique proposal, and ultimately, the prettiest navy and orange fall wedding. See it here.

We love the fact that Jennifer and Ryan were married in the same place where Ryan proposed–his family’s stunning lake house. See their beautiful mountain wedding here.

We were so excited to share our sweet friend Emily and her now-husband Brendan’s charming North Carolina wedding! See it here.

I can think of a handful of my friends who have told me they want to get married near a big red barn someday, and I’m sure some of y’all can relate! Stephanie and John found the perfect Virginia farm to fulfill that dream. See it here.

Last but not least…

It’s Facebook Friday! Don’t miss the most adorable high school sweetheart-themed engagement session by Kristen Alexander Photography on our Facebook page.

Enjoy your weekend!

I was wondering, in your opinion. What looks best together, long navy dresses with black groomsmen attire or black? I have seen many pictures and read your posts about navy+black. However, I think it looks a little dark altogether. I have tried searching long navy dresses with charcoal or grey suits/tuxes and have not had very much luck. Do you know where I could find some photos?
    Thank you.
