Belles, get out your Christmas lists and your favorite pen, because we have a fun new addition to the Southern Weddings Shop to share with y’all today, and we think it would make the perfect gift for any Southern gal!

We are tickled pink to introduce the Sweet Tees! This exclusive t-shirt line includes three darling designs that can be dressed up or down. All of the Southern Weddings gals have a heart for marriage and a deep love of the South, and if you do too, we hope you’ll join us in spreading our mission in this sweet and stylish way! All of the Sweet Tees are designed in-house and are printed in the South on jersey cotton with water-based ink that feels softer with each wash. Let’s take a closer look at all three options, shall we?

The “We Run on Sweet Tea” tee could be the SW office uniform–we think it would be an especially adorable addition to the wardrobe of a wedding vendor, or any other hardworking gal who wants to look cute while making big things happen.

The “Love Never Fails” tee is a nod to the Southern Weddings mission, but even more so, it reminds us of what matters most. You don’t have to be married/engaged/in the wedding industry to rock this tee–you just have to believe in its message and want to share it with others!

Our third and final Sweet Tee, the “Oh My Stars” tee, is a tribute to our love for the South–after all, you won’t hear “Oh my stars!” exclaimed anywhere else!

Love these tees as much as we do? Enter our giveaway for a chance to win the Sweet Tee of your choice! We’re raising our sweet tea glasses to this fun new line on Instagram with the hashtag #SweetTeeCheers, and if you post a picture of yourself with a glass of sweet tea and the hashtag, you’ll be entered to win!

P.S. Don’t have Instagram? Leave us a comment on this post and let us know which Sweet Tee is your favorite!

I love them all, what a hard choice! But my favorite has to be the love never fails, because it is such a sweet bible verse that represents Gods love for us and how we are to love each other. Love always wins!

Love Never Fails

by in In The Office, Main on

Hello, friends. Like y’all, even in the midst of all the cheer of the holiday season, our hearts are still very heavy in the wake of last week’s school shooting in Connecticut. It’s almost unimaginable to think about what those moms, dads, brothers, and sisters must be feeling right now. Our office wanted to do something, and so after tossing out a few ideas, we decided to donate $5 for every “Love Never Fails” print sold today. Because you know, of all the things that seem so uncertain right now, there’s one thing we know for sure: that love NEVER fails. It never does. And we hope this simple print, hung somewhere you’ll see it every day, might remind you of that.

The print is available here. We’ll ship out every order we get before 4pm today this afternoon by Priority Mail, so we HOPE they’ll arrive in time for Christmas!

If you’d prefer to donate directly, there are a number of ways to do so. The United Way has set up the Sandy Hook School Fund. The Red Cross is also providing aid, and donations can always be made to them through these channels.

We also wanted to call your attention to the #26ACTS movement started by Ann Curry that has been going around lately. We can’t think of a lovelier way to honor the victims than by doing an act of kindness in their honor, and we’d encourage y’all to try it out this week and weekend. If you need a few ideas, I wrote a little post on my blog here with some simple ways to pass along the love.

Pop, fizz, clink!! It’s time to turn up the tunes and have a little dance party with us, because it’s officially here! As of today, our biggest (by 48 whole pages!) and most gorgeous (there is gold foil on the cover!) issue, Southern Weddings Volume 5, is officially available on newsstands (although, keep in mind shipping is delayed due to Sandy so order direct from us if you want your copy NOW!) and online! Let’s do it again for good measure… pop, fizz, clink, y’all!!

As you might have noticed, we’re pretty excited about this issue. Not only because we’ve been working away on it for eight long months, but because we think you’ll notice something a little different when you crack open the cover. This year we rolled out the Sweet Tea Society, and far from being a standalone blog post, we’ve truly taken it to heart, allowing it to infuse every choice we made while making this issue: which weddings we featured, how we structured our shoots, the photos we included, even the order of the magazine and the font choices! So in addition to the Southern details we’ve always been known for, we’re thrilled that this issue makes even more obvious what we’ve believed for a long time: that it’s not enough to focus on a beautiful wedding — no, we’re all about beautiful marriages. Love never fails, y’all.

V5 lights our hearts on fire. For its absolutely stunning real weddings, its glorious Southern editorial shoots, and its tons of fun Surcees (our new term for Fab Finds!). For its stunning photography, thick glossy pages, and metallic (!) cover. But mostly, for its focus on lifelong vows, on family traditions, on true love, and on intentional marriages.

So when you pick up your copy, we invite each of you to not only celebrate with us, but to renew your belief in true love. And if you choose, we welcome you to show your support by posting one of our Love Never Fails badges to your blog or site. (Just right click on the badge of your choice (below) and hit save!)

Of course, we can’t celebrate our fifth anniversary issue without our traditional photo contest! Take a photo of yourself with V5 and send it to us — the more creative the better! We’ll feature our favorite submissions on the blog and then vote on them. You have until December 3 to send your photo to [email protected] with “V5 Photo Contest” in the subject line or to tweet it at us @iloveswmag.

The winner will receive their choice of personalized Emily Ley iPhone cases!

We’re happier than a pig in mud, y’all!

I am so excited to pick up a copy! My newly engaged soon to be sister in law and I have traded screen shots of the beautiful magazine so far- and she ended up going with a color change for her bridesmaids after seeing the gorgeous cover! So excited to browse (and swoon a little bit over) the magazine with her as I help her plan her big day to my sweet brother! :)
