I admit it: I’m a product junkie! However, even my love for trying beauty products has its limits, which is where tried and true favorites come in. It’s even better when said favorites are inexpensive and easy to snag at the drugstore! Since we had so much fun with our last Southern Style post, I’ve asked my darling colleagues to share their current favorite drugstore beauty buys. They’ve shared their go-tos below, as well as some extra details about their top picks!

I have the same theory about lashes as I do about hair: the bigger the better! Seriously, I would wear false lashes every day if I could, but for now I’ll stick to special occasions and our team shoots. Our friend Sam, from Lula Hair and Makeup recommended Ardell “Wispies” to me a few years back, and they instantly became my go-to lashes.

I’m a creature of habit when it comes to my nail polish colors (pale pink or coral for the win!), so if I’m feeling adventurous about trying a new color, my go-to is NYC Longwearing Nail Polish. It dries quickly, is only 99 cents, and is the easiest way to try out a new color without investing in a $10 bottle of polish!Jess

Dry shampoo is probably one of the greatest inventions out there for long and thick-haired girls like me. I love the Batiste line, and the cherry scent is one of my favorites!Amber

Since I am a bit militant about sunscreen and keeping my face in the shade, the only way for me to achieve a “sunkissed glow” is with bronzer. I’ve been using Neutrogena Healthy Blends for years, and it does the trick!Emily

I never go out of town without these Say Yes to Cucumber wipes in my cosmetic bag (they’re perfect for traveling). I’ve also been known to reach from them after a long work day, when washing my face seems just too complicated.Kristin

Matte lip pen | Aveeno Daily Moisturizer | Yes To wipes | Mascara

It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product is my secret weapon for long hair! It has 10 different functions, from protecting against split ends to adding shine. I especially love that since it’s a cream that’s applied as a spray, it doesn’t weigh my hair down.Lisa

Essie nail polish | Makeup remover wipes | ColorBurst Matte Balm | It’s a Ten

I love Burt’s Bees! I’ve been using this stuff for years, and putting a dab of the minty balm on my lips always makes me feel a little more fresh and put together, even though it’s colorless. I always have one in my bag and one at home!Nicole

Coral polish | Revlon lipstick | Cream eyeliner | Burts Bees | Grapefruit body wash

What’s your favorite drugstore staple?

Wedding dress shopping can go from dreamy and magical to overwhelming and stressful in the blink of an eye, which is one of the many reasons it’s SO important to choose a bridal salon that will take great care of you! Our Blue Ribbon Vendor salons are the perfect place to start looking (they’ve all been personally vetted and selected by our team), and if you can combine an amazing salon with a trunk show from your favorite designer, I’m willing to bet that your dress shopping experience will become one of your sweetest wedding planning memories. We adore the girls at Twirl, and if you’re in Kentucky (or within driving distance of Lexington!), I highly recommend stopping by their upcoming Nouvelle Amsale trunk show. I still remember the first time I was introduced to this line at Bridal Market a few years ago–it combines Amsale’s signature classic elegance with an amazing price point, so it’s perfect for savvy Southern brides!

Even though September doesn’t feel like fall yet in most of the South, I’m sure I’m not alone in that my mind is already on all things autumn! That’s why I could hardly wait to take a look at the new collection from Casablanca Bridal, called Autumn Blooms. The collection features brand new lace patterns ranging from sweet and subtle to dramatic and bold, rich fabrics (like duchess satin, tulle, and crepe organza), tons of stylish illusion details (the back of the Aspen dress? Amazing!), and plenty of three-dimensional details that look incredible in photos. While the ball gowns are stunning, Casablanca especially hit it out of the park when it came to fit and flare silhouettes–if that’s a shape on your wedding dress wish list, I’m positive you’ll fall in love with these styles! Let’s take a look at a few of my favorites, shall we?

Peony (a two-piece ball gown with a beaded lace bodice, lace cap sleeves, and a duchess satin skirt)

Clockwise from top left: Rosette (layered organza and netting with an embroidered rosette pattern), Violet (just the right amount of beading and lace for a bride who loves sparkle), Orchid (delicate floral lace with a detachable keyhole back), Juniper (Alencon lace that starts at the bodice and cascades down the skirt)

Aspen (an embroidered lace gown with buttons down the illusion back and a detachable tulle overlay)

Clockwise from top left: Zinnia (brushed satin with a cotton lace overlay), Sage (tulle godets interspersed between floral lace), Olive (satin accented by ornate beading, including on the cap sleeves and illusion back), Hyacinth (intricate lace layered over satin)

You can find all 21 gowns in the Autumn Blooms collection here–which one is your favorite? I’d love to hear!
