Chelsea + John met on Craig’s List. No really! That’s how John says they did, but with further reading, they actually met at a party thrown by Chelsea’s former roommate (whom she did find on Craig’s List!). I guess it’s a tomaydo/tomahdo thing! Either way you spin it, this adorable duo went from talking all night over tea to cheering for each other’s college football teams, to happily ever after — and that’s really all that matters. Throughout the photos from Brooke Images, you can see that this couple has a knack for focusing on what matters most. Chelsea said her favorite details of their wedding were “how we incorporated our family traditions.” What a great choice!

I love the wording on this sweet handkerchief! “Darling Mama,” too cute!

Our favorite detail of the wedding was: My favorite details of the wedding were how we incorporated our family traditions. We decided to make mini jars of my late grandmother’s granola recipe to use as wedding favors. The granola recipe was something she made all of the time while I was growing up and has become a staple in our family, so we really wanted to share that with our guests. Another tradition we incorporated was John’s family cheese straw recipe in our Welcome Bags. John’s parents made a huge batch before the wedding and then John and I stuffed them into little mini bags to include with the rest of the Welcome Bag gifts. We thought it was important to share these personal touches with our guests.

My mom flew up to Charlotte, NC (where I live) to come dress shopping with me. It was important to me to do the dress shopping trip alone with my mom since she and I are really close and she knows my taste the best. We planned two full days of dress shopping. On the first day, we went to three boutiques and found several dresses we both liked, but didn’t love. On the second day, we started the morning at Hayden Olivia Bridal. We knew from the moment we walked in the door that we would find my dress there, and we were right! My exact dress didn’t exist, but I was able to custom design it with the help of the boutique owner, Heather. We took the base body from one of the Modern Trousseau styes I liked the most and added the lace straps, back detail, and the train. It was absolutely my dream dress!

Tell us all about the proposal! (In John’s words) My plan to propose to Chelsea started about five months before the actual day. During Thanksgiving 2011, I spoke to my sister, brother-in-law, and my parents about the decision I was making. With help and advice from my mother and Chelsea’s close friend, Courtney, a setting was selected to accompany the family diamond from my Great Aunt Pernie. That was the easy part….trying to surprise Chelsea and keep the secret was the hardest part. Knowing that Chelsea’s birthday was soon approaching, I came up with a plan that would, hopefully, divert the surprise. Chelsea’s 30th birthday was in April, and we had planned to celebrate with a trip to Aruba. I knew this would be the perfect time to take advantage of not only a romantic setting, but also a perfect diversion. Chelsea’s father decided to come visit for St. Patricks Day, just before our trip. One morning during his visit, he and I took Cooper (our dog) for a walk. I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to ask him for permission to marry his daughter…and he approved!! The day of Chelsea’s birthday, April 12th, I planned a number of special activities. First was a relaxing morning on the beach, followed with champagne and birthday cake delivered to the room for Chelsea’s “birthday”. We spent the afternoon having couples massages in the spa before heading down to a romantic dinner for two on the beach at sunset. I was calm and collected as dinner was served but got a little anxious as dessert was ready to begin. I presented Chelsea with her “birthday” card and asked her to read it out loud. As she read through the card, she still had no idea what was about to happen. As the sun was setting and Chelsea finished reading her birthday card, I got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage…she excitedly said “YES!”

We did! When we were first trying to decide whether or not to do the first look, we discussed it with a friend of ours who had recently been married. She explained to us that on her wedding day, the first look was the only moment she and her husband got to spend together, alone, throughout the wedding day. When we looked at it that way, we realized it was more important for us to share this special moment together, alone, than it was to have the “surprise” walking down the aisle the first time. We were so glad we took her advice and decided to do the first look. Seeing John ahead of time completely calmed my nerves prior to the ceremony. We knew there was a possibility for rain later on in the wedding day, so I was a little tense in the afternoon, not sure if the weather was going to hold up for our outdoor ceremony. Seeing John before the ceremony helped calm my nerves and it really allowed me to relax. In the end, it DID end up raining so we were so happy we took all of our first look photos, otherwise, we wouldn’t have gotten a lot of outdoor photos together.

Describe your wedding flowers. Gorgeous! This was one of the areas where we splurged on the budget. Our floral designer really went over the top. My favorite flower is the peony and she coordinated that into all aspects of the wedding. My bridal bouquet was a bouquet of ivory/blush peonies. The centerpieces in the room had hydrangeas, peonies, stock and garden roses, all in ivory, peach and coral tones. The show stopper was the floral chandelier that our florist designed & hung in the center of the dance floor. It was a giant ball of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. All of the colors and textures were gorgeous together. When we saw it for the first time it took my breath away.

Describe your wedding cake or dessert. We had two cakes: a wedding cake and a groom’s cake. The wedding cake was three tiers: Key Lime, Strawberry, & Creamsycle, all covered in buttercream frosting. The groom’s cake was a surprise for John that was made into a Clemson theme. It was actually a cupcake tower with chocolate peanut butter cupcakes and a red velvet topper.

How did y’all meet? Tell us your love story. John likes to tell everyone we met from an ad on Craigslist, but that’s not the full story! In the summer of 2009, I was looking for a new roommate to move into the townhouse that I owned. I posted an ad on Craigslist and found my amazing roommate/friend, Carey. Soon after moving in, she and I decided to throw a party at the house to celebrate her birthday. Carey’s boyfriend at the time (now husband) came to the party and brought some of his work buddies with them, one of them being John. John and I hit it off, but at the end of the night went our separate ways. Over the next couple of months, we saw each other multiple times and became friends. Six months later, we met out to celebrate John’s birthday. Although I was coming down with a cold, I decided to go out and celebrate anyway. We were all hanging out at a friend’s house and John heard me continuously coughing from the other room. The next thing I knew, he was in the kitchen making me a cup of tea to soothe my throat. Instead of heading home early, I stayed at the house and he and I ended up drinking tea together and talking for hours. I knew at that moment I was falling for him. After that night we were inseparable!
When did y’all get married? May 11, 2013
How many friends, family members, and loved ones attended your wedding? 82
Did you write your own vows? If so, what was your favorite phrase, verse or line? We did. John and I thought it was important to make the ceremony unique to us and extremely personal, so we wrote our vows to each other. We each included (unknowingly) humorous parts about cheering for each other’s football teams (I am a huge FSU fan & his team is Clemson), but also included sentimental parts as well, with vows and promises to each other.
Tell us about some of the songs you used throughout your wedding and why you chose them. We wanted to make sure the songs we chose had meaning to us. The song we chose to be played by the violinist as I walked down the aisle was “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz. We chose “Stuck like Glue” by Sugarland as the song the violinist played as we walked back down the aisle. We both love this song and it always makes us laugh when it comes on, so it was the perfect pick. John chose our first dance song, “Take Me There” by the Rascal Flatts. When John first chose it, I had never heard of it. He urged me to listen to the words and said it always reminded him of me when he heard it. I liked the idea of him choosing our first dance song and soon loved the song as much as he did. Another important song for us was the dance John did with his mother. John’s mom is a recent breast cancer survivor. When she was going through chemotherapy, John and his sister had bought his mom an iPod and uploaded inspirational songs for her to listen to as she got her treatment. One of the most memorable songs was “Live Like You Were Dying” by Tim McGraw. John chose this to surprise his mom for the Mother/Groom dance. The song represented how she lived life to the fullest and overcame cancer. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Did you have something borrowed, blue, old, and new? If so, do tell! My something borrowed was a lace hankie John’s mom lent me that was John’s grandmothers. My something blues were my shoes and my clutch. My something old was the lace for my veil. We used the lace from my mom’s wedding dress to create the lace trim on my veil. This was very special to me and I am looking forward to passing my veil along in the family one day. My something new was my dress.
What Southern details or traditions did you include in your celebration? What was Southern about your wedding? I would have to say the most Southern thing about our wedding was the setting. The venue where we had the ceremony and reception, Walker’s Landing, is located on the marsh in Amelia Island, FL. The venue is surrounded by large oak trees with Spanish moss hanging from them. It’s absolutely gorgeous!
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? The biggest challenge, by far, was planning a destination wedding and coordinating all of the extra details from a distance. Having our wedding in Amelia Island and planning from Charlotte, NC made it difficult to schedule meetings with vendors. We would take weekend trips to drive the 5 1/2 hours and try to squeeze all of our meetings on a Saturday. It was a lot of schedules to coordinate & a lot of details to confirm in a short period of time.
What is the one detail or vendor that you were so happy to have as a part of your wedding? It would be hard to choose just one. We felt as though we truly assembled the “dream team” of vendors while planning our wedding. Each of our vendors were amazing and went above and beyond to make their part of the wedding perfect.
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? It’s hard to choose just one, but one of the most memorable moments was the end of the night when John and I got on stage with the band and sang with them. I just remember looking around the room at all of our close friends and family, who were singing and dancing, and feeling so blessed and loved in that moment.
What advice do you have for folks currently planning a wedding? Try not to let the planning stress get to you and just enjoy the process.
What’s next for you as a couple? What are you most looking forward to about married life? We bought a house together last year, four months after we got engaged, but didn’t really have time to work on it with the wedding planning. Now that the wedding is over, we are spending our weekends decorating it together and buying new furniture. We are enjoying being married and making our house into a home with our dog, Cooper.

It’s not often that we get to hear a couple’s love story from the groom, but when we do, it’s such a treat! Brandy and Quint are so adorable together, and their colorful wedding was wonderfully reflective of their fun-loving, joyful personalities. These North Carolina natives drew tons of inspiration from their Southern home state, from the foods they served to the way they incorporated family into the ceremony. After all, as Brandy says, “So much of being Southern is celebrating family.” We couldn’t agree more!

Thank you so much to Anna Routh for sharing Brandy and Quint’s wedding with us!

From Quint: We owe our meeting to a mutual friend, Damian Hall. Damian has known Brandy for a few years through one of Brandy’s bridesmaids, Elizabeth, and he was in my part-time MBA classes at North Carolina State University. After getting to know me, he decided to play matchmaker and asked each of us if we cared to be set up. We both were game, so he gave me Brandy’s phone number. After an exciting initial phone conversation, I asked Brandy to a concert, Joshua Radin, at Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh. We met for the first time outside of Sono, a sushi place on Fayetteville Street in Raleigh. We shared many laughs, smiles, and even a practical joke on Damian that night. It was a great meeting/first date, and we have been stuck on each other ever since.

Tell us about finding your wedding dress. I was very nervous about finding “the” dress. Lana Addison, a boutique in downtown Cary was recommended to us by a friend. It was the perfect place to find a dress. Small and intimate, with a great collection of beautiful gowns. Joining me was my mom, sister, and two best friends. The dress I selected was the third one I tried on! Even though I tried on many more, we all kept going back to the Martina Liana gown. It was a fitted lace gown with a sweetheart neckline. I also had two sashes I wore for the day. I wore a taupe sash for the ceremony, tied in a bow in the back. For the reception, I changed into a crystal embellished sash. The gown had vintage-inspired, re-embroidered, textural cotton lace detail, a scalloped hem and a traditional chapel train.

Did you decide to do a “first look”? Why or why not? We decided not to do a ‘first look. We really wanted to save that moment for the ceremony. Sharing this sweet moment with our friends and family was perfect for us.
Did you write your own vows? If so, what was your favorite phrase, verse or line? While we didn’t write our own vows, we poured over samples of vows and pieced together the ones that we felt were most important and meaningful to us.

We were married in the gardens of the Weymouth Center and I wanted to add to the beautiful, natural flowers in the environment. I used pink and coral roses, gerbera daisies, and green and white hydrangea. Our designer also incorporated many other small orange blooms in miniature vases. It was very eclectic and perfect for our outdoor garden affair. As opposed to matching table florals, we used old vases (brown and blue glass) and lots of white milk glass in various shapes and sizes. I switched things up a bit and had the bridesmaids carry white bouquets with hydrangeas and other blooms while I carried a bouquet with coral and pink accents. My bouquet handle carried a small charm of a pug, as a tribute to our sweet pug, Pearl! The bridesmaids all wore different dresses and the maid and matron of honor wore a slightly different color, so the white bouquets added the symmetry we needed.

What Southern details or traditions did you include in your celebration? What was Southern about your wedding? Our food, for starters. We had a buffet menu of Eastern pulled pork BBQ (our favorite food), fried chicken, baked mac and cheese, roasted vegetables, baby green salad with strawberries and goat cheese, mini biscuits and cornbread with honey butter. We also had lemonade served out of mason jars. The groomsmen wore khaki slacks and vests with plaid bow ties. Even our sweet ring bearer, Lawson Akom, wore a khaki suit with a chevron bow tie. Adorable! During the reception, we played a bit of beach music to get the crowd warmed up. One element that makes me feel Southern was having the entire event outdoors. Both of us grew up in NC and love being outside. It was important to us to incorporate the natural beauty of our venue. As the sun set, twinkle lights and candles were used everywhere.

Describe your wedding cake or dessert. Pies, pies, and more pies!! Quint and I love pie and we felt it was a nice touch to add to our Southern wedding. We had pecan, peanut butter, key lime, chocolate, lemon and strawberry. Some were full sized and a few were mini. We did have a small cake as well, since we couldn’t miss the opportunity to “cut the cake.” We had two layers–one peanut butter and the other strawberry, all covered in buttercream icing.

Tell us all about the proposal! From Quint: On my drive back from Pinehurst, NC after asking Ms. Barrett’s permission to marry Brandy (meeting Brandy to go see “The Five Year Engagement,” ironically), I began brainstorming about how I wanted to carry out this important moment. It only took me about 25 minutes to hatch my plan. I knew that Pinehurst was on the short list of Brandy’s favorite places in the world, so that location was settled. Since it is known for its golfing, I wanted to incorporate that as well. I had our friends, Justin and Elizabeth, reach out to Brandy about visiting us from Philadelphia, and had them express interest in riding with us to Pinehurst to play a round of golf. Brandy bought it. My plan was to propose on the 5th hole of one of the eight Pinehurst courses. Why the 5th hole? Why not the 18th green? Glad you asked. Being that I am the 5th (V), the number five has always had a special meaning to me, and I did not want to leave any detail untouched. With the help of Justin and Elizabeth, we got a tee-time of 11:20 AM on Pinehurst Course No. 3, and a customized golf ball with “Brandy, will you marry me” on it. Justin also helped me arrange for my dad to hide out around the 5th hole so that he could take pictures and capture the moment as it happened. Now, I’m not a great golfer, so I had alternating fears about my plan: a) I would play absolutely terribly and be about 20 over par through those five holes; or b) I would play tremendously and not want to end our round short on the 5th green! The nerves didn’t hit until the tee box for the 5th hole, but I somehow managed to make it to the green in regulation. Once Brandy reached the green, I replaced her actual ball with the customized ball and waited for her to approach. I got an assist from Elizabeth, who encouraged Brandy to remove her golf glove from her left hand because “all of the professionals putt without their gloves.” After some initial confusion about her ball, she bent down, read the question, and turned to find me kneeling with the ring. What I actually said is hazy in my memory, but I’m pretty sure she got the point that I was asking her to marry me! She said “YES” of course, and then I calmly sank my par putt. From there, it was a whirlwind of pictures on the course, followed by some celebratory champagne in the clubhouse. Brandy kept saying that she needed to call her mom and her best friend, Whitney, but I had a plan arranged for that, so I managed to stall her. I had gathered a group of our closest friends a couple of minutes away at Ms. Barrett’s house for a surprise celebration. It was a perfect celebration for a perfect day.

When did y’all get married? June 8th, 2013
How many friends, family members, and loved ones attended your wedding? 175
What readings, if any, did you have at your ceremony? Whitney Akom, the matron of honor read a piece by Wilferd Arlan Peterson titled “The Art of Marriage.”
Tell us about some of the songs you used throughout your wedding and why you chose them. For our first dance, we chose “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. We had discussed several different options for our first dance, but it was decided after Quint randomly watched “I Love You, Man” on Comedy Central one night and heard that tune on the soundtrack. We listened to it and realized it was perfect for our first dance! A couple of years ago at a friend’s wedding, “Into the Mystic” by Van Morrison played. Quint and his mother simultaneously shared their love for that song, so it was only natural for them to use it for their mother-son dance.
Our favorite detail of the wedding was: It’s hard to pin down a favorite detail, however, we were thankful and blessed to have my Aunt Bebe marry us. She is my father’s sister. Although my Dad is not with us, having Bebe be such a special part of our wedding was perfect and something we will always cherish. So much of being Southern is celebrating family. :)
Did you have something borrowed, blue, old, and new? If so, do tell! I wore a new double-stranded Chanel pearl bracelet given to me by my mom as my something new. My something old was a handkerchief that was Quint’s grandmother’s. My something blue was my garter and my something borrowed was a ring that belonged to one of my bridesmaids.
If you are comfortable responding, what range did your wedding budget fall into? $25,000-$50,000
What is the one detail or vendor that you were so happy to have as a part of your wedding? Ray! Ray was our wedding planner/designer/caterer/ extraordinaire!! He always made us feel reassured and was able to make our vision come to life. I also feel it is important to note that my sister and mom were such a huge inspiration for many of the special touches at our wedding. They both are have a talent for design and crafting.
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? There were so many memorable moments. We both wanted our reception to be a great time to “get down” with our friends and families. As we introduced our bridal party into the tent, we had selected a different song for them to dance to. Needless to say, this was hilarious. The night continued into a huge dance party, tons of celebrating, and lots of laughter.
What advice do you have for folks currently planning a wedding? Our advice would be to not stress yourself out if something (details, etc.) don’t work out. No one will know but you. Enjoy the day!
What’s next for you as a couple? What are you most looking forward to about married life? Enjoying each other every day. Down the road, we look forward to starting a family!

My heart just about burst when I started scrolling through Kelsey and Clint’s wedding pictures. Everything from Kelsey’s cowboy boots to that dreamy Texas sky makes me miss my home state! Not only was Kelsey and Clint’s beautiful wedding such a celebration of the Lone Star State and the South, it was also full of details that celebrated their relationship and what matters most to them. Their rock “guest book,” for example, was a unique way for people to share their prayers and love, and now, Kelsey and Clint are encouraged by the messages on those rocks regularly. By focusing on faith and family, their wedding a truly meaningful beginning to married life.

Hugs to Taylor Lord for sharing Kelsey and Clint’s wedding with us!

Did you have something borrowed, blue, old, and new?
I borrowed Clint’s grandmother’s brooch for my bouquet, wore my tried and true Lucchese Boots for something old, and bought a gold bracelet with my new monogram for something new.

My family planned a trip to Park City, UT, and while I was preparing for a much-needed vacation, Clint was preparing for a sweet surprise. We planned on going climbing later in the week, but the anticipation was getting to Clint. On the very first morning, Clint proclaimed that we should hike that day due to the weather. My sister and brother-n-law backed out at the last minute due to an “injury.” I, being the inexperienced climber and gullible sister, bought every fib. During our assent, the signs began to appear “Are your hands swelling?” and “You should call your mom and let her know our ETA for lunch.” They were all minor questions that later revealed his secret. We rode the gondola lift to the peak and at the top sought out the perfect viewpoint. It was here, when Clint was fiddling with his GoPro camera to ensure that it was set perfectly, that I knew. Then, the sweet question followed. After tears, kisses and long embraces, Clint said there was one more surprise. Around the bend, my family was waiting for a sky-high celebration. Well done, Clint!

We love that Kelsey included the house party tradition in her wedding! Not familiar with house parties? Learn about this oh-so-Southern tradition here.

What readings, if any, did you have at your ceremony?
Our dear friend Kyle read Psalm 62:1-2, “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.”
Tell us about some of the songs you used throughout your wedding and why you
The wedding party took their seats to “Walk Down This Mountain” by Bebo Norman. Beyond the obvious title, my brother-n-law, Gabe Scott, is a musician and has played with Bebo for years. Plus, one of my best friend’s from college was our vocalist. It was sentimental on many levels. Being the amazing brother that he is, Gabe also composed an original piece on the hammered dulcimer for my bridal processional. During the ceremony, the entire congregation sang “Come Thou Fount” while Clint and I had a private moment of communion. Finally, for the first dances, we stuck with two Southern staples: George Strait and Alan Jackson.

We got married in the smallest incorporated city in the great state of Texas, Round Top (population: 91). My parents moved out to the country from Houston years ago, and now we call this charming town home. Even though it’s tiny, twice a year, Round Top transforms into one of the biggest antique destinations in the nation. The town square is home to the infamous Royer’s Round Top Cafe, small shops, Henkel Hall and a picturesque white church. I had two bridesmaids and the rest of my friends were House Party–one the best Southern traditions, in my opinion. The sound of our wedding was an ode to the South. My friend’s band, Brother of Pearl, played bluegrass and folk classics during cocktail hour. Then, the Westernaires polished off the evening with the sounds of steel guitar and fiddle, leading guests in a classic two-stepping evening. Our bar only served Texas beer and wine: Shiner and Becker Vineyards. Under the oak trees, we set up a game of washers. My dad used to judge the washer pitching tournaments at the Houston Rodeo, so no family gathering is complete without a game. Finally, Louie, our shepherd/lab mix, was an honorary groomsman and walked us down the aisle. He looked quite dapper in his bowtie. A true Southern gentleman.

What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? Letting go of the details. Event planning is something that I love to do, but I constantly had to remind myself that people were there to help me. I surrounded myself with amazing talent: Taylor Lord, Gypsy Floral, Loot, my wedding coordinator Linda and of course, my mother.

Our favorite detail of the wedding was:
Rocks are an important detail in our relationship. Clint guides church groups up 14k mountains in Colorado and they ask the kids to find a rock that symbolizes something in their life to pray over. We wanted to incorporate this throughout our wedding. We had a display of river rocks for people to share blessings, thoughts, verses or encouragements. They now reside on our coffee table, and ever so often, I sort through them, finding one that speaks to me. Truly a blessing that we will carry throughout our marriage.

Gypsy Floral did an incredible job bringing our vision to life. We wanted the flowers to accent and showcase the amazing venue in Round Top, Texas. My bridal bouquet was composed of white peonies, white ranunculus, Juliet garden roses, thistle and white scabiosa flower accented by dusty miller. The stem was wrapped in ribbon and closed with Clint’s grandmother’s knife and fork brooch. French flower buckets filled with cream and green florals framed the church staircase, while two lemon leaf garlands lined the handrails. During the cocktail hour, Loot Vintage Rentals created seating vignettes under the oak trees. Each included a gorgeous arrangement to make it feel like home. Centerpieces were arranged using Queen Anne’s lace, my grandmother’s favorite flower. Finally, over the wedding party table, the girls created a driftwood arbor that was beyond my imagination. Created from aged driftwood, angle vine and curly willow, they hung terrariums and lanterns down from the center. The piece was a beautiful anchor for the entire evening.

Describe your wedding cake or dessert.
Cakes by Cathy has been a friend of my husband’s family for years. When we got engaged, it was no question that we were using Cathy. I wanted simple buttercream frosting with soft pearl dots lining each layer. Cathy worked with the Gypsy Floral team to add a floral garland. The “H” monogram on top came from BHLDN. For the groom’s cake, we went with another obvious (and delicious) choice, Royer’s Round Top Cafe. Tara Royer created the most beautiful pie display, almost like you were walking into an old soda fountain shop. And what is pie without ice cream? Blue Bell Ice Cream is made in the next town over, and if you’ve never experienced this delight, make a trip to Texas! Needless to say, dessert was scrumptious.

How did y’all meet? Tell us your love story.
Clint and I met while working on a political campaign. He was the politician’s executive aide and I was the photographer. Needless to say, we spent many hours traveling together and our friendship quickly grew into something much more special.
When did y’all get married?
March 16, 2013
How many friends, family members, and loved ones attended your wedding?
250
Tell us about finding your wedding dress.
After ten bridal boutiques (yes, you read that correctly) we found the one! I guess you could say I’m an indecisive shopper. Amber from Julian Gold Bridal in San Antonio was amazing. She found all the elements that I had loved about other dresses in this one Christos gown. Lace, sweetheart neckline, straps, comfortable and most importantly, it looked great with boots! We switched out the belt for an Emily Riggs hand-beaded design, shined my boots and called it a day.
What is the one detail or vendor that you were so happy to have as a part of your wedding?
How does one pick? I have to say, The Westernaires were a sweet surprise. Dancing is a big deal at weddings. It’s safe to say it can make or break the affair, so we took a risk with our old fashioned two-stepping tunes. The dance floor was full all night long! It was one thing Clint and I didn’t expect and were so excited to see happen.
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day?
My husband’s dad is a pastor in San Antonio. Out of all the laughter, dancing and memorable moments, his marrying us is one that will always be near and dear to our hearts.
What advice do you have for folks currently planning a wedding?
Breathe. The time will fly, the wedding day will race by. Take a moment to enjoy what you planned. We left our wedding, made the block, and came back to keep on dancing. We didn’t want the night to end!
What’s next for you as a couple? What are you most looking forward to about married life?
Traveling together! We are planning trips big and small. Experiencing new cities and cultures is something we are both passionate about.
