Much like when looking at Lynae + Brenton’s wedding photos, I guarantee you’ll feel a smile creeping across your face when you watch this film by FocalPoint Cinematic Weddings. These two are just so full of life! From their vows (weren’t you wondering what they were saying to each other after viewing these photos??) to their exuberant balloon parade and fabulous dance moves, this is one wedding that I’m so glad we get to see come to life.

For all the credits and photos, be sure to check out parts one and two!

You know how people always tell you to stop and smell the roses? It’s a great reminder to soak in all the little moments of your lives — surely the ones you’ll remember for years to come. In my case, it’s also a reminder to water my plants. Sadly, I may have killed my Valentine’s Day flowers form Lara on accident! (Your thoughts and support are appreciated as I try to revive them.) Though I’ve been preoccupied with the well being of my desk plants, the blog has also been busy this week hosting an assortment of beautiful details and love stories!

We tackled a Southern etiquette conundrum this week: What are the “rules” of bridal party etiquette, especially when it comes to including family? Take a look at what Kristin has to say and weigh in!

We spot a fun bridesmaid’s dress! We adore the seersucker designs Lauren chose for her ‘maids — they were the perfect compromise for a Northern groom and a Southern bride!

We were tickled pink to share a love letter written to us on the blog this week! Our dear friend Mo made us all happy gals!

Real weddings make our hearts happy!

Laura + Geoff’s fall wedding was full of family traditions and beautiful pops of red! See it here.

We were smitten with Grace + Daniel’s pastel wedding! We love how dedicated their friends and family were to contributing to the big day. See it here.

Swooning over Hailey + Rhet’s pink outdoor wedding is inevitable. It looks both glamorous and effortless at the same time. See it here and here.

Ali + Robert’s North Carolina wedding was full of beautiful fall tones and details that were perfectly “them.” See it here.

Happy News!

Our friends Sierra + Juliet at Poppies and Posies + The Trove have recently teamed up with Stephanie Singer-Eventov for a line of custom prints! The prints are a fun way to customize a wedding, party or home. They can be made into anything from a custom table runner to a bridesmaid’s dress! The prints are available in their shop. Be sure to take a look!

We’re so excited to announce the winner of our Super Southern Weddings iPad Mini Giveaway! Congratulations to Dana L.!

Caroline does a phenomenal job at trying to make sure the bride is happy and that the wedding is exactly like she wants it. She goes to great lengths to provide everything to make sure that wonderful day goes perfectly. She is very personable and easy to work with.

Yes, definitely! The groom’s sister should be in the bridal party! We have seen brides who are closer to the groom’s sister than their own!

We love our Blue Ribbon Vendors to the moon and back, and we hope y’all use our Directory to find like-minded professionals that are a perfect fit for your big days! We’re always adding new friends, so be sure to check back often. Here, a few of our recent favorite additions…

A. Caldwell Events is based in Charleston and specializes in saving their clients time, money, and stress!

Astrid Photography captures “dreamy and whimsical” images that reflect who you are as a couple. She is based in Virginia.

Having met Christina of Christina Leigh Events in person, I can attest that she is a sweetheart, and it does not surprise me that she “loves calling her brides her friends.” Christina works out of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Houston, Texas.

I love that Gracie of Gracie Blue Photography considers her work not a job, but a gift — a chance to capture moments that are personal, emotional, and real. She is based in Georgia but happy to travel.

I love how consistent Jessica Lorren’s work is — soft, filled with light, and capturing the smallest, most beautiful moments. She is based in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Julia Rohde Designs is also based in Florida (Miami), and her floral work is colorful, textural, and filled with unique blooms.

Katelyn James’ photography is warm, colorful, and full of life. She is based in Richmond, Virginia.

Kimberly Chau shoots natural, quiet, and lovely images from her homebase of Houston, Texas. She also travels widely for weddings!

Alabama brides are lucky to have Leslie Hollingsworth, whose timeless, photojournalistic images are destined to become heirlooms.

Last but certainly not least, Milky Way Farm is an extensive venue in middle Tennessee that houses gorgeous barns, a manor house, and a magnolia plantation!

Still on the hunt for your perfect Southern vendors? Check out our whole crop here! Vendors, if you’re interested in applying, please fill out this form and we’ll be in touch!
