Hello, hello!! We are Alea Moore Photography, a group of sweet friends that became a company because of our big hearts for capturing sweet moments. Part documentary, part fine art, our hope is to photograph your day in a way that is both unobtrusive and thoughtful to create photographs that will retell the best day of your lives.
Name: Alea Moore
Where you call home: Atlanta, GA
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: I am so honored to be a Southern Weddings Blue Ribbon Vendor. We are so thankful and blessed to have been featured in Southern Weddings, Style Me Pretty, Ruffled, Wedding Chicks, 100 Layer Cakelet, Magnolia Rouge, and many more! So thankful to all of these amazing communities that not only inspire couples in finding their wedding style but support love stories in a big way!
Location/Coverage: Georgia, Carolinas, Florida, and available worldwide!
How I got into weddings: I have had a camera in my hands for what feels like forever. In college, I went to school to be a vet, but photographed weddings for my sweet friends to make a little extra pocket money and because I loved it so much. It took a little heart and soul searching to come to the conclusion that I needed something happy every day and though it scared me, I picked up my camera again and never looked back. God was SO good, and I’m beyond thankful to get to do what I love every day!
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Southern hospitality! I love that the bride and groom go so out of their way to love on their guests! They truly think about everything including making sure each and everyone gets a hug!
Favorite part of a wedding day? I love the time when the bride and groom get to be with just each other. Throughout the day they are being pulled in a million wonderful directions, so having even just a little time where they get to connect, where they get to say hello and I love you, and take a deep breath together, is all too awesome to witness. And lucky me, because it’s my favorite time to photograph, too :)
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Don’t ever lose sight of what your day is ultimately about: you two saying “YES!” to forever! Everything else is just fun, so enjoy the best part! ;)
Dream travel destination? Travel is my love. My family is all abroad (I’m first generation American), so I think if I had to pick just one, I would love to photograph in Italy. Lake Como, Cinque Terre, Venice… the thought makes my heart burst.
Favorite Southern city? St. Simons Islands, GA! Oh coastal Georgia, your big oaks, Spanish moss, and shrimp and grits have me swooning every time.
Early bird or night owl? Night owl
Pie bar or red velvet cake? Pie bar
Pottery Barn or Anthropologie? Anthropologie
Succulents or peonies? Oooooh, hard one. I think I have to say peonies!! They smell SOOO good!
