It’s been a few weeks since we introduced you to some of our newest Blue Ribbon Vendors, and I think it’s high time y’all met!

Bella Flora creates some of the most stunning arrangements I’ve ever seen, including the ones in this V4 wedding. They’re based in Florida’s Emerald Coast.

Caroline Joy is based in Texas and gets excited about creating photos filled with natural light and (unsurprisingly) joy.

Events in the City is a wedding and special events design and coordination company with a background in fashion, film, and catering, and they’re based in the Washington, DC metro area.

Flaire Weddings & Events is a planning and design company that specializes in creating weddings with luxurious touches and thoughtful details. They’re based in Jacksonville, Florida.

Georgia Ann’s Paperie was launched with the vision to be a high end stationery and invitations online store that stocks products that will catch your eye and broaden your imagination.

Jonathan Connolly is a photographer in Florida with a love for people and a passion for art.

Mi Amore Foto, based in Florida, takes an editorial approach to photographing weddings because she doesn’t want her couples to look back on their day and remember her being there, she wants them to remember everything else. Love that!

Michelle March (whose beautiful work you saw earlier today!) is crazy about love stories, and loves capturing them in the most beautiful light. She is based in Florida.

Posh Petals and Pearls is a wedding planning company based in Savannah that brings both lavish and intimate events to life.

The Sugar Suite is a personal, contemporary, and stylish boutique bakery located in Maitland, Florida.

A week from today will mark the three-month countdown to my wedding – whoo! Time flies, does it not? All of the vendors are booked and big decisions have been made, and now we’re busy fitting the smaller details into place – ceremony readings, centerpiece details, and, among many other things, favors.

If you, too, are still searching for the perfect token for your guests, I’d recommend taking a look at today’s sponsor, Weddingfavors.org! They have pages and pages of options for wedding favors, with something to fit every style.

These beehive candle wedding favors would be a great treat for a bridal shower like the one we featured a few months back!

I think personalized wedding favors are the best kind, as I’m sure you do, too. I thought these rustic twig frames were sweet, and if it were me, I’d print out a photo of the bride or groom with each guest, and set them at each place setting in lieu of a place card!

These shell place card holders are perfect for a beachy wedding. I’d definitely reuse these at a dinner party post-wedding!

Weddingfavors.org has been kind enough to offer you lovely belles and beaus 15% off their goods with code SWED15. Happy shopping!

LOVE the seashell place card holders. Such a great way to double as favors and something useful for the reception too!

Betcha didn’t know that June 10 is officially National Iced Tea Day! And since here in the South we like our tea like we like our gentlemen – sweet! – we’re going with sweet tea in honor of this fine holiday!

When I was younger, every year we had a gymnastics banquet in downtown Mobile. It’s was so much fun to get dolled up (with giant bows, of course), and head down to the ballroom with friends. One of my favorite things about the banquet was the sweet tea in pretty glass goblets – it just seemed so fancy! I’ve since grown into an Arnold Palmer kind of girl, but I still feel fancy drinking out of a goblet! :)

A few fun facts about this delightful delicacy:
— In the early 1900’s, sweet tea was considered a luxury status symbol, since the main ingredients – tea, ice, and sugar – were prohibitively expensive. It seems strange now, but the ice was actually the most prized ingredient, since it had to be shipped in from afar.
— The oldest known recipe for sweet ice tea was published in 1879 in a community cookbook called “Housekeeping in Old Virginia” by Marion Cabell Tyree. Ms Tyree was a native Texan, and suggested making the recipe with green tea.
— In 2003, the Georgia House introduced a bill making it a “…misdemeanor of a high and aggravated nature” to sell iced tea in a restaurant and not also offer sweet iced tea on the menu. The bill never went to vote, but I sure know a few folks who would have voted it through!
— In most Southern states, sweet tea has become such a signature drink that the use of the word “tea” is largely used to refer specifically to cold sweet tea, and not to hot or plain varieties.

We love the idea of serving tea at weddings, whether with fun striped straws, in mason jars, or both! Sweet tea is a staple of sweet Southern hospitality, and is sure to make your guests feel right at home.

With lemon, raspberry, mint or all of the above? How do you take your tea? Will you be serving it at your wedding? Leave a comment below with your favorite tea recipe – we’d love to try it sometime! And, of course, however you take your tea, we hope it’s always sweet!

P.P.S. We can’t talk about sweet tea without mentioning the Sweet Tea Society! Are you a member yet?

Y’all know I’m partial to peach iced tea!

I love sweet tea and all its varieties–peach, raspberry, arnold palmers, and even any with firefly vodka :) It’s very tragic to live in Northern Virginia, where the only restaurant serving sweet tea is Mcdonalds :(

We will be serving Sweet Tea with lemon wheels in mason jars with old fashioned stripe straws at our outdoor ceremony in July!!
