From Sara, one of our summer interns:

Hi again, y’all! Oh my stars, I am so excited to share this video from Kimberly K Cinema Verite with you! Rooted in faith and centered around prayer, Rhonda + David’s relationship overcame a rocky first date and years of long-distance, resulting in a love that is the epitome of strength. This film highlights their deep connection by combining clips of the marvelous couple (isn’t Rhonda simply radiant in her glamorous sparkly gown?) with snippets of heartfelt advice from their family and friends. I truly think the bride puts it best by saying a certain part of their big day made her “heart melt and mascara run” (me too, Rhonda!). I just know y’all will adore this glimpse into R + D’s heartwarming love story as much as I do. P.S. Make sure to watch the entire film – the couple’s sweet candid moment at the end is my very favorite!

From the bride:

Our love was the unlikely result of a bad first date. After an introduction from our mutual friend Emily Harmony (e.harmony for short), we became fast friends. However, David’s military interrogation training and my analytical mind almost ended our bliss on day one. Thanks to the grace of God, the advice of friends and my homemade apple dumplings, we went on a second date. After a few months, David and I realized we had a unique love for one another, so we spent considerable time praying about when and how to proceed. David knew within the first two months that he would someday marry me, but I had another agenda, which included moving around the world to Abu Dhabi!

Despite my two-year international plans, we proceeded with planning our Southern chic wedding. To our surprise, David received orders to deploy days after I returned to the United States, so we were bound to be long-distance across continents again.

After nearly two years of bi-coastal love, you can imagine our joy at the thought of being in the same country at the same time to celebrate our wedding with family and friends! We knew that Kimberly K Cinema Verite would capture the special moments from our day in a modern, fresh, and eternally beautiful way. The foot washing, which concluded our ceremony, was my favorite moment from our wedding weekend. The visual and real expression of David’s love and servant leadership made my heart melt and my mascara run. It was unforgettable!

Hi y’all! As Nicole mentioned last week, I’ll be taking over Weekly Round-Ups from now on. We have had some seriously gorgeous weddings, a few tear-jerking stories, and lots of great advice on the blog this week, so let’s dive right in!

Kristin shared her heart through a list of 10(+1) hints for a happy marriage. Married friends, we’d love to hear your advice as well!

Our resident etiquette expert/my deskmate, Emily, addressed the tricky question of how to reschedule a wedding.

Ryan Ray is shooting something amazing for V6 next week, and we’re still in need of a few more bridesmaid models! If you’re available on July 26 in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area, check out our model call post for more information.

Oh, how I loved this week’s Real Weddings!

Brittany and Matt’s first look pictures are some of our all-time favorites! See their classic turquoise wedding here.

Claire and Michael’s wedding was overflowing with fabulous Southern details. Since their wedding was my first post on the blog, I’m always going to have a soft spot for their gorgeous day! See it here.

Rachel and Daniel’s sweet proposal story brought me to tears, and y’all fell hard for the dreamy Vera Wang she wore in their wedding! See it here.

Speaking of stories that brought on a few tears, the story of how Mariana chose her lace dress had both Marissa and me reaching for tissues. Mariana and Jacob also had the most fabulous dessert selection at their beautiful wedding! See it here.

A few fun things!

Be sure to check out our Facebook Friday for an engagement shoot by Revival Photography!

One of our delightful BRV members, George Street Photo & Video, is hosting a giveaway next week for four mini chevron bags by Ooh Baby Designs! Enter on their Facebook page between July 22-29.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hey Lisa! You’ve done a great job at SW so far! Congrats on such an amazing opportunity! On another note, I live in North Texas and would LOVE to be a model (or honestly just help out with the shoot) next week! I sent an email but haven’t heard back from anyone. I’ll even promise to bring homemade baked goods if I need to bribe my way in! Thanks, Ginnie

Hi Ginnie! Thank you so much for your kind words! I believe we already have all of our models for this shoot. Thank you so much for applying though, and hopefully we can work with you on something in the future! :)
