Hi y’all! As Nicole mentioned last week, I’ll be taking over Weekly Round-Ups from now on. We have had some seriously gorgeous weddings, a few tear-jerking stories, and lots of great advice on the blog this week, so let’s dive right in!

Kristin shared her heart through a list of 10(+1) hints for a happy marriage. Married friends, we’d love to hear your advice as well!

Our resident etiquette expert/my deskmate, Emily, addressed the tricky question of how to reschedule a wedding.

Ryan Ray is shooting something amazing for V6 next week, and we’re still in need of a few more bridesmaid models! If you’re available on July 26 in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area, check out our model call post for more information.

Oh, how I loved this week’s Real Weddings!

Brittany and Matt’s first look pictures are some of our all-time favorites! See their classic turquoise wedding here.

Claire and Michael’s wedding was overflowing with fabulous Southern details. Since their wedding was my first post on the blog, I’m always going to have a soft spot for their gorgeous day! See it here.

Rachel and Daniel’s sweet proposal story brought me to tears, and y’all fell hard for the dreamy Vera Wang she wore in their wedding! See it here.

Speaking of stories that brought on a few tears, the story of how Mariana chose her lace dress had both Marissa and me reaching for tissues. Mariana and Jacob also had the most fabulous dessert selection at their beautiful wedding! See it here.

A few fun things!

Be sure to check out our Facebook Friday for an engagement shoot by Revival Photography!

One of our delightful BRV members, George Street Photo & Video, is hosting a giveaway next week for four mini chevron bags by Ooh Baby Designs! Enter on their Facebook page between July 22-29.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hey Lisa! You’ve done a great job at SW so far! Congrats on such an amazing opportunity! On another note, I live in North Texas and would LOVE to be a model (or honestly just help out with the shoot) next week! I sent an email but haven’t heard back from anyone. I’ll even promise to bring homemade baked goods if I need to bribe my way in! Thanks, Ginnie

Hi Ginnie! Thank you so much for your kind words! I believe we already have all of our models for this shoot. Thank you so much for applying though, and hopefully we can work with you on something in the future! :)

Howdy, y’all! We’ve spent a good amount of time this week giggling over outtakes from our very first Instagram videos. Haven’t turned into Southern Weddings TV yet? Take a look here. In between our video updates, we did do some actual work.

Emily gave some expert advice on budgeting for your wedding with regards to your priorities and your circumstances.

We’re in love with this polo-inspired eye-candy set in the most romantic of Southern settings.

We’re so tickled pink by the cute goodies in the Southern Weddings Shop that we had to have a sale! Get 15% off pink prints and our enclosure cards before July 8.

Real weddings turn our hearts aflutter!

Casey + Anthony’s Florida wedding combined the best of their favorite Southern locales. See it here.

Katrina + Tyler’s barn wedding combined each family’s ideas and a ton of handmade details. See it here.

Britt + Brad’s lakeside wedding was a fun nautically-inspired bash with modern details and a great love story. See it here.

Laura + Shannon’s seaside wedding brought a beachy laid back feel to a romantic and elegant big day. See it here.

Before y’all head out for some weekend adventures, make sure you stop by our Facebook Friday for something sweet from Love is a Big Deal.

Let’s also wish all the guys and gals saying “I do” this weekend the biggest congratulations, including our Southern Bride Bloggers Ryann and Kaylia!

Have a marvelous weekend!

Lovely photos. The “polo” wedding with the horse behind is beautiful, the bright yellow on the bridesmaids dresses so full of life. Totally real weddings, natural and capturing the happiness of the moment.

Loving the pink wedding invitation designs!

Beautiful pictures too. I love the ombre yellow bridesmaid dresses! Very trendy and happy :)

We’ve been building up steam in the Southern Weddings office this week with V6 shoot planning, feature planning and many more exciting projects I wish I could spill the beans on! I’m happy to say that after a chocolate tasting for Taste TV on Wednesday, we’ve successfully eaten enough sugar to propel us through the week’s end. Now, I think we’re all looking forward to some family-time with our dads this weekend.

With the unofficial start of summer behind us, we’ve been out and about completing #SouthernDoins all over the place. See what we’ve been up to here.

Lara and Emily returned home from the Engage!13 Conference at Biltmore last week. We love this recap of the Southern welcome party designed by our friends at Pressed Cotton.

We know bridal parties can get quite large in the South, but we loved getting the deets behind the Southern tradition of house parties. Read more about them here!

With Father’s Day this weekend, we wanted to take a moment to share the best advice we’ve gotten from our dads.

I am so thrilled that we’re able to share Jewel + Ben’s engagement session with y’all. Jewel is one of our Southern Bride Bloggers and their love story is so encouraging and a reminder that the real beauty of a wedding is a lifelong partner who will stick with you through thick and thin. See it here.

Real Weddings steal our hearts!

Chatham + Charlie’s bright, bold soiree took weddings at home to another level! We love that an untraditional piece of the big day was inspired by the bride’s grandmother. See it here.

Amy + Bryan took the traditional pink wedding scheme and made it their own with pops of neon and fun marquee signs! See it here.

Lauren + Marshall used the details of the wedding as a way to showcase their personalities and to show Southern hospitality to their guests. See it here.

Before y’all go…

Take a minute to join us in wishing a huge congratulations to all the belles and beaus getting married this weekend!! Big hugs to our Southern Bride Bloggers, Jewel, Allison and Martina who are also saying, “I do!”

Be sure to stop by our Facebook Friday for a little something sweet from Happy Everything Co.

Have an amazing and restful weekend!
