Though you can’t find today’s Handmade Find in a store near you, I thought you’d find it neat, anyway.

Chris, the handsome fellow in this photo, MADE the blanket for Rachel, his fiancee. Amazing, right?! I love all the possibilities this opens up in my mind for incorporating other personal details or crafts into your shoots or celebrations. What do you think?

Beautiful photo by Katie Stoops. See more from this session on her blog here!

Hello, sweet readers! We’ve got one more V-Day post for you (did you catch last week’s red round-up and purple tablescape?). This one’s all about hearts. And the best thing about these hearts? They’re not just for Valentine’s Day! We think most of these ideas could be used at a wedding year-round. After all, weddings, at any time of the year, are about love, are they not? Let’s dive in!

First, we’ve got hearts for you hair, your shoes, your fingers.

That darling heartband is from ban.do (and bonus: all of their Valentine’s Day goodies are on sale for 25% off right now!). The eensy rose gold heart ring is from Catbird. Giant Dwarf makes the most magical heart and star crowns and hairpins. Check out the heart boutonniere by Alison Conklin on Ruffled.

Now that you’ve outfitted yourself, it’s time to outfit your reception!

Hand a balloon to every guest and amazing photos are sure to follow! (Photos by Youkeun Oh via Style Me Pretty). We loved the bold heart programs from this fun wedding by Our Labor of Love (see more here and here!). This thumbprint heart print from Nella Designs would make such a neat focal point propped up at your reception, and these thumbprint napkins are just genius (photo by Kristin Spencer). How about gifting each of your guests an adorable Cupid Kit from Paper + Twine? The last three images are all from a GORGEOUS wedding by Jose Villa (planned by Instead of You). Where oh where did the bride get those giant vintage tin hearts??

Lastly, these sweet ideas were much too delicious-looking to pass up. And that gold foil cake — I die!

That to-die-for gold foil mini cake? The instructions are right here, on Sweetapolita. This is Glamorous shared these heart tarts. The conversation heart cookies and heart macarons? Not sure where those came from. Shout out in the comments if you know!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I am not one to gravitate to heart items generally but found myself swooning over a few of your finds! The thumbprint heart print is too cute- and would be adorable at a reception and later hung in an entryway or nook in the newlywed homestead! I also love, love, love the huge huge vintage tin hearts! The conversation cookies are also adorable. Happy Valentine’s Day, ladies. Thanks for always providing me with a daily dose of Southern inspiration
    !

Where did those thumbprint napkins come from? So cute

    • avatar Emily reply

Hi Katie! I don’t have a source for the fingerprint napkins, but my best guess is that they were a custom-designed product. To replicate the look, have a designer work with your fingerprints, and then send the art to For Your Party (foryourparty.com) to have it printed on cocktail napkins. Their prices are super reasonable!

I’m such a sucker for hearts. Super cute ideas! The balloons are my favorite. I’ve never seen any like that.

Handmade Find :: Pretty Swell

by in Personal on

My love for bunting in all shapes and sizes is well documented on SW and Peach & Pearl. Need proof? Just check out my sister’s wedding. (Don’t worry, she likes it, too!)

No big surprise, then, that I fell in love with everything Pretty Swell the minute I happened upon their shop!

The fabric flower garlands are completely customizable, and even their color selection is pretty to look at!

I also adore one of their newer offerings, the fabric flower cake toppers. Again, the colors are fully customizable, and quite reasonably priced at $15 for 6 — the perfect number to create a small grove on top of your next cake!

Interested in seeing more? Check out their shop right here. Until next week!
