5 Days Till V3 Arrives!

by in News on

Abby Kitty Pants, feline office manager extraordinaire, is most excited about Jennifer + Kyle’s real wedding feature.  Obviously, because Jennifer’s bouquet and decor feature feathers.  What are you most excited about?  Today’s the last day to order your copy and have it shipped out before the issue hits newsstands, so pre-order your copy here!

Advertisers, I’ll say it again because it bears repeating: do yourself a favor and email Katharine for a copy of our new media kit!  You won’t want to miss out on this!

It’s Here!! + Giveaway Winners!

by in Contests, News on

V3 is in the house!!  Just like last time, it arrived in the rain, but that’s okay — nothing could dampen our spirits today!  Though I do have to say, I think my choice of footwear was a little more appropriate than Nicole’s… okay, okay, hers is pretty cute.

While we’re getting all 2,300 pounds of V3 boxes comfortably settled into their new home, we thought we’d announce the winners of yesterday’s giveaway!  Yes, that’s right, winners!

The winner of a very special advance copy is entrant no. 88, Miss Jacqueline Scott!  Jacqueline, email me (emily at iloveswmag dot com) your address as quick as you can and we’ll get your copy right out to you!

The winner of a very special ad prize pack is Dreamland Images, entrant no. 27 (and 30, for that matter — they tweeted and posted on Facebook!)!  Amelia, please email Katharine (katharine at iloveswmag dot com) to claim your tier 3 ad + wedding resources listing!

Well, that leaves a few of you who didn’t win, sadly!  I know many of you have already pre-ordered, but if you haven’t, you can do so right here!  And advertisers, we would LOVE to have you aboard the new SW site — it is going to be AWESOME, and it will be even more awesome with your support! Plus, we’re still extending a 25% discount on the ad of your choice.  Email Katharine ASAP to check the new digs out in our media kit!

Engage10 :: The Breakers

by in News on

Well, ladies and gents, it’s that time again.  Even with all of this craziness going on, Lara and I are picking up and heading to The Breakers in Palm Beach next week for a few days for the latest Engage wedding conference.  For those of you unfamiliar with the Engage events, they are twice yearly luxury wedding business summits where some of the most exciting people in the industry come together to learn and grow.  Lara has been several times before; this will be my first trip.  You can read a little more about Lara’s most recent experience on her blog here.

Now, would it be bad to say I’m almost as excited about our surroundings as the people I’ll meet? Feast your eyes on this:

Okay, okay, I guess Darcy Miller, Carly Roney (who I had an awkard encounter with in an elevator when I interned at The Knot, by the way — think she’ll remember me?!), Randy Fenoli, Sylvia Weinstock, Marcy Blum, Maria McBride, etc., etc., etc. can stand up to those stunning interiors and exteriors.  They are pretty fabulous, themselves, I suppose.  Oh yes, and that other speaker, Lara Casey, I hear she’s pretty fabulous, too.

In all seriousness, we are very much looking forward to meeting and reconnecting with all of the speakers and attendees in just a few days!  Will you be there?  Let us know in the comment section!

P.S. Lisa Johnson, the creative mind behind Ceci New York and a speaker at The Breakers, recently released her latest CeciStyle, focused complelely on the iconic property and her stationery inspired by it!  Check it out here.

    I would have loved to be there. Being a part of this would be so amazing for me right now. Its only an hour and a half from my house, but between needing new gear + my mortgage + and my student loans, it was not possible this year. To next year!
