Southern Weddings Weekly Round-Up

by in Main on

The Southern Weddings office looked a little different this week–not only was it our first full week without Emily (she had her baby girl last week and is on maternity leave!), but we also welcomed two new members to our team! Some of you may already know Amber Housley–we teamed up with her on this and this editorial shoot, and she’s a speaker at the Making Things Happen Conference. We’re delighted that she’s now our new Marketing Director, and can’t wait to officially introduce her here on the blog next week! We also welcomed Jess Metcalf, our new Customer Delight and Shop Manager for both the Southern Weddings Shop and Lara Casey Shop. Jess will be starting with us full-time in a few weeks, and we’ll be sure to give y’all a proper introduction then. In the meantime, get to know both of these ladies on Instagram (Amber and Jess)–we know you’ll love them as much as we do!

See more from this engagement session by Joelle Grace and Victoria Austin Designs on our Facebook page!

In case you missed it this week…

Hannah and Evan: A little white chapel, unique signage, and honey favors in North Carolina.
Madeleine and Caleb: An illusion lace gown, greenery garlands, and a dessert table in Tennessee.
Libby and Matt: A classic rice toss, blush bouquets, and thank you note place cards in Kentucky.
Sarah and Chad: A rustic venue, buried bourbon, and dogs in bow ties in Virginia.

We shared our top gift ideas for newlyweds from V8’s Surcees feature.
Please help us congratulate some of our newest brides-to-be!
Alison and Luke gave us a tour of their cozy Charlotte home on Southern Newlywed.
Cara and Jerritt shared how they prepared for marriage in Sweet Tea Sunday.

Have a lovely weekend, and congratulations to anyone getting married!
