This Southern Virgnia Great Gasby inspired wedding was the perfect celebration for Tabatha + Christian. Tabatha, a southern girl at heart, wanted an outdoor celebration with mint juleps and elegance.  The ceremony and reception took place at {Berkeley Plantation}.  Tabatha, along with her sister and mom, planned this soiree including hiring the {Coleman Brothers} for the flowers, {Westhampton Bakery} for the wedding cakes and {A Sharper Palate} for the catering.  The bridesmaids wore dresses from {J.Crew} wedding line while Tabatha had a beautiful {Ulla-Maija Couture} gown. Capturing the day was {Patricia Lyons Photography}.  Check out the {slideshow} on Patricia’s {Blog}.

How did the two of you meet? Tell us your story: We met in Berkeley, California Summer of 1999. It was the summer after my junior year at Princeton. I was living there for the summer with a friend who went to school at UC Berkeley. She invited myself and another friend to live with her for the summer to swim (we were all swimmers), play, and enjoy the California sunshine. Thankfully, my parents are amazing and have never denied me an opportunity to travel and have fun. So we went! During the first few days in Berkeley we had a cookout in the front yard of our beautiful Victorian house. Our Berkeley friend invited some friends from school that had stuck around for the summer. Christian was one of those friends. We instantly clicked. The night was spent in our front yard playing card games where the romance blossomed. We were pretty inseparable from that night on for the rest of the summer. Most nights were spent cooking out on an old rusty grill in the courtyard of Christian’s fraternity house. As awful as that sounds, we had such an amazing time just hanging out and getting to know one another. Eventually it was time to return to school. I flew back to finish my year at Princeton, and Christian started his senior year abroad in Tahiti. In the winter, he returned to finish his year at Berkeley and we flew back and forth quite a bit until we both graduated in 2000. I moved to San Francisco after graduation and eight years after that night of card games, we got engaged.
Describe the proposal: Christian knows how incredibly important my family is to me. He knew I would be devastated if our proposal was done a million miles away from them. So, as usual, he did the right thing. We went to visit my parents for our annual vacation at The Outer Banks, North Carolina May of 2007. We arrived on a Sunday, and the entire week my dad keep telling us that Thursday there was going to be an honest to God blue moon (it actually happens about once every 3 years). Thursday came and Christian and I had planned to go to a romantic dinner with just the two of us. However, around 3 P.M. my dad cooked an entire bushel of steamed crabs, which we proceeded to inhale. Needless to say we were no longer hungry for dinner. Christian however insisted that we go for cocktails before sunset. I was dressed in regular beach gear and Christian was getting dressed up. I started to think something was fishy and changed into a dress. We went to one bar, and once we opened the door Christian said “This is not good enough.” I was really starting to think something was up at this point because he is usually much more easy going about this type of thing. We went down the street to the nicest place on the beach and sat at the martini bar. I personally love a martini, and Christian is usually pretty indifferent on them. We each ordered one. Christian swilled his down quickly and ordered another. Funny enough, there was an older lady next to us telling us what a great couple we make and that she could tell we were meant to be together (I should have gotten her number, she clearly had strong psychic powers). After a few martinis we decided we better get back home before neither one of us could drive. We got back to our place and went straight out to the beach. The entire beach was lit up by the full (blue) moon. We sat there cuddled on the dune and Christian was saying what a perfect night it was, and was there anything that could possibly make it better. Funny thing is, he was literally asking, “What could make this night any better? If you could have anything happen right now, what would it be?” As I mentioned before, I was getting very suspicious by this point, so no way was I going to bring up anything about a proposal. So I continued with Miss America answers “World peace, end hunger, eternal health and happiness, etc.” Christian finally gave up and pretended that he was going to get up, but instead he was in front of me on one knee. He quickly opened a ring box and a beautiful diamond was staring at me, glistening under the moon. He didn’t say a word. I said, “Say something!” He got out the words “Will you marry me?” Of course, the answer after eight years was “YES!” We immediately ran up to the house to tell my parents, at which time I found out Christian had asked my Dad for my hand earlier in the day, but did not say when it was going to happen. So both of my parents were very surprised, and thrilled about the news. We spent the rest of the night calling all of our family and friends sharing the excitement. My parents surprised us the next day with a champagne tour of the island, they even had a piano player serenade us with “Here Comes the Bride”. We planned our wedding for exactly one year after the proposal.
What attracted me to my husband was: His sense of humor. Christian is absolutely hilarious. He is also very honest and loyal. Truly, what more could you ask for?
What attracted me to my wife was: Where to begin…I was first attracted to my wife’s beautiful smile and pleasant disposition. She is a very genuine individual, and I really enjoyed getting to know her. We seemed to have so much in common from the beginning, and as our relationship grew, I realized that she was just as passionate about my interests as I was. She is an amazing cook, a gifted athlete, an accomplished scholar, but most importantly, she really enjoys life and doesn’t stress the small stuff. We can celebrate every moment together, from cooking dinner in the kitchen to curling up in a tent in the middle of nowhere. We avidly enjoyed each other’s company in the beginning, and we still do to this day.
The weather on our wedding day was: Scary. They were calling for torrential downpours, thunderstorms, and possible tornadoes. Pretty much, the worst weather forecast you could ask for in the event of an outdoor wedding.
What was the design inspiration for your wedding? The Great Gatsby set in the South.
Favorite design element of your big day: The draped tent and beautiful crystal chandeliers. I actually purchased the chandeliers before the wedding. They are the best wedding favor I could have ever imagined. One chandelier is presently hanging in our San Francisco bedroom… I love it.
Describe your wedding flowers: The one thing that was really important to me was long, white feathers in my bouquet. My bouquet was very whimsical with huge white peonies and the long burnt coq feathers poking out. The bridesmaids carried white and green hydrangeas with eucalyptus buds. The aisle was draped with bouquets of hydrangeas and organza. Cherry blossoms, dogwoods, and curly willow strung with crystals cascaded out of tall glass and metal vases creating the front of the ceremony. The aisle was covered with pastel rose petals.
Describe your wedding cake: I wanted my cake relatively simple and I wanted it tall, 4 layers to be exact. My plan was to make the topper the centerpiece, so I had the cake iced in a light butter yellow color with small white pen dots. I topped the cake with a miniature version of my bouquet with a bright coral ombre ribbon cascading around the cake. It was a delicious vanilla pound cake with butter cream icing.
Our favorite detail of the wedding was: Oh, there were so many. The Cuban cigar roller, the mint julep bar, the Jefferson cups engraved with our names and our wedding date, the Bakers bourbon, the shrimp and grits bar, my dad’s deviled crabs (my dad is a professional chef), the picture-taking bar that served as entries for my guestbook, and of course most importantly all of the fabulous people that traveled near and far to share in the celebration.
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? Distance. I live in San Francisco and got married in my hometown of Richmond, Virginia. I am very organized and lik
e to be involved. It was hard to coordinate everything over the phone, especially since some of my vendors did not work via email nor did they have online pictures of their products. I am very fortunate to have my mom who helped me so much with the planning and coordinating and I was lucky to be able to come back home several times to finalize the details.
Were there any special family traditions you included in the wedding? I carried my grandmother’s handkerchief wrapped around my wedding bouquet. She had sadly passed away a few months before our engagement.
Scariest moment? The weather forecast!!!
Funniest moment? The first dance, I really underestimated how long a song can feel when everyone is watching you dance. We spent the whole dance laughing as I was saying, “this is sooo embarrassing” over and over.
The most unexpected event on our wedding day was: for us it was that the weather held up, we didn’t see one drop of rain, yet the rest of the Richmond area was hit pretty hard by the storm. For my dad, I surprised him during the Father Daughter dance with the band breaking into his favorite song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.”
Did you write your own vows? Yes
If so, what was your favorite phrase/verse/or line? I promise to always find a reason to celebrate
What advice would you give to someone planning their wedding? Make it your own and by all means, make it fun!
Any DIY items? Almost everything. I am very fortunate to have a mom with fantastic taste. I ask for her advice on almost everything. So she was so much fun to have as a partner in all of the design and planning.
My mom and I made the tags with the emblem I designed that were then strung on the wicker fans (that were sat in the chairs pre-ceremony). The tags were also used on gift bags (that we put together) that were placed in hotel rooms. We made the dogwood bouquets and strung the crystals for the large arrangements that were placed at the front of the ceremony. I designed my invitations, and had a letterpress company in San Francisco produce them.

Congratulations to Tabatha + Christian.  We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!

I remember Tabatha from growing up in Richmond- she was definitely the cool girl in the Richmond swimming world and I know a lot of us looked up to her! Congrats to her and her husband- the wedding looks lovely, especially the bouquet!

I have known tabby since I was 7 years old (that’s some nearly 25 years now). We grew up swimming together, going to school, and trading deep dark secrets. As long as I have known tabby, she wanted an outdoor wedding "with all the fixin’s"…And did she have that! I was fortunate enough to be at this event where everything was naturally perfect (including the weather). What a beautiful day with a beautiful couple and beautiful memories. This magazine has made a good choice to showcase this one!

Gia from {betsywhite} never disappoints and this week is no exception. We love her color palette and the use of Majolica Blue in this romantic color scheme to add a pop of pizzazz. For those of you who can’t get enough of the bird cage veil Gia has incorporated one into this beautiful palette as well as two dresses any woman would love to have in their closet. Make sure to check out Gia’s color palette posts each week for some more wedding inspiration: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX.

From Gia: Combining a soft, pretty color like Rapture Rose with a deep blue makes a really wonderful and unexpected palette for the Fall.

The bride and bridesmaids: An antique ivory dress for the bride and rose-colored dresses for the bridesmaids would be lovely.
The groom and groomsmen: The men could wear navy suits with white shirts and navy and pink striped ties. If the Fall wedding is taking place in a warm climate, khaki colored suits could also work with navy and pink striped ties.
Accents and Details: Arrangements in shades of pink and deep ivory would look really beautiful against deep blue linens.

I would use the canvas print to have one of my engagement photos put on display at my reception. Our engagement photos were taken when my fiance was home on leave from Iraq, and we got a few photos of the two of us with him in uniform that mean so much to us. I would love to be able to share that moment with our guests on our big day!

My sister- and brother-in-law have this incredible canvas picture hanging in their living room of a silhouette of them in front of a sunset on their wedding day on the top of a cliff over the ocean. How perfect! I hope my fiance and I can capture something similar with a Phoenix flare because I would love to hang something like that in our home.

  3. avatar Cassidy reply

Our wedding venue is AMAZING, and my favorite part of the whole day. I would love a canvas of the location to hang over our fireplace for years to come.

  4. avatar Michelle reply

I LOVE this blog!!!Anyways, I haven’t found my beloved yet, so I would simply take a picture of myself and my lovely sister to have printed.

I would use our favorite picture of the wedding day to make a canvas print. I would create a special wall to display it. I love wooden initials and would use our M&M arranged creatively around the canvas. It would look perfect hanging on the wall next to our kitchen table that Mark just built as our first piece of furniture.

My fiance and I have a photo that I just LOVE…it was taken in our favourite coffee shop (which happens to be quite a romantic little spot, with great decor and all kinds of fabulous tasty smells :)I would use the 16 x 20 canvas, and suspend it over the area where we plan to set up our "Espresso & Pastry Bar" at our engagement dinner party :)

  7. avatar Emily reply

I would use the canvas print to print a pic of my fiance and I and our families at our wedding.

I would defiantly use a poster of a photo of our wedding as decor to commemorate our big day. We are renovating our house ourselves and have just put up a wall in out sitting room that has a great spot for a piece of art. What better than a super cool Millie Holloman picture from our wedding day?! We just installed a light fixture that illuminates that area perfectly.

  9. avatar sommerwithano reply

I can’t do this since I am already engaged, and I wasn’t the one who did the proposing, but I think this would have been a wonderful way to be proposed to. I would have LOVED to have come home to find a gorgeously huge (16×20!) close up pic of my soon-to-be engagement ring in its open box hanging above my bed in a candle lit room…I think there are lots of great uses for this as an engagement idea!

For some reason the ONLY decorating aspect of our entire apartment that my fiance has any opinion on is the picture over our mantle–he absolutely loves this photo of us from five years ago, which is currently on top of the mantle. I have begged him to put up something more recent, but he only agreed to putting up a recent engagment or wedding (this August) picture. I would LOVE to win this great prize so we can finally agree on the one picture everyone sees when they come over to visit! :) Thank you so much for doing this giveaway!

I got married in December and my husband and I are about to move far, far, away from my hometown (also a college town where both of us attended school). I would love, love to have a poster print of our favorite picture of town/campus to remind us of home.

I would LOVE to have a canvas with one of the beautiful Engagement photos that Punam Bean took for us. I have the perfect wall for the canvas in our Living room!

We’re having our rehearsal dinner at home. To freshen the space, we’ve thought about removing some pictures from the walls (my father’s paintings of golf courses, mostly) and replacing them with pictures of the two of us for the evening. Our engagement pictures would pop on canvas. We thought this might be a clever way to turn an ordinary space into something unique and personal.

  15. avatar Amanda W reply

My favorite photographer is doing our engagement pictures at the end of this month, and I am SO excited about them! I know I’ll want to have one on a canvas for us to use at the reception & then to hang in our home after we’re married! It will be a great reminder of this happy time in our lives – being engaged and so full of love for each other!

  16. avatar Angelique reply

oohhh…………how awesome. I’m not really a big canvas kind of girl, but we loved one of our engagement pictures so much…we’ve had a change of heart! I would LOVE to put one of them up on display at our wedding! Perhaps hang it suspended from a tree?

On our wedding day, my son from my first marriage joined hands with us during the recessional. We walked back down the aisle as a new family, and a lovely photo captured this moment. I would love to have a canvas print of this image for our new home to celebrate our new start together.

  18. avatar Rachel reply

We plan to use several canvases at our wedding reception for decoration and to honor our "kids" who can’t be present. My fiance and I have two boxers, Zhor and Paisley, who won’t be making the wedding ceremony and reception for obvious reasons, though our Pastor’s children want to dress them up and walk them down the aisle as the ring bearer and flower girl :). Instead, we are going to print some fun canvases of them showing their personalities and place them on the guest table where they can "greet" everyone as they come in! ~ Rachel

  19. avatar Brittany Hensley reply

I *LOVE* Canvas prints. They make a bolder statement than traditional framed pictures. I would probably have the picture of us getting engaged at Niagara Falls. It would complement the other pictures at our reception. A canvas print would give justice to the scenery we were surrounded in when we got engaged at the edge of the falls. We’re ready to take the plunge!

  20. avatar brooke @ claremont road reply

I would love a canvas print to show one of our favorite moments from our wedding day last September! We have so many great images but something black & white and candid would likely be our top choice.

I need to cover two tacky 1970s’ speakers that are set in the wall in the front of the church. This would be a perfect way to "camaflouge" this flaw in an otherwise beautiful church. I would use an engagement picture and would be so excited to win one and purchase the other. Having two wedding ceremonies in two different states on the same day (Yes, you read that correctly.), we are trying to save as much as possible. Winning this poster photo would help us save money and solve one of our decorating dilemmas. Thanks, and I hope you pick me!

I would blow up a beautiful picture of a deep pink/blue/purple sunset. My fiance & I recently decided upon our location – Tensing Pen in Negril, Jamaica. The sunsets there blow your mind & we took some amazing photos of the sun setting while visiting…It would forever remind me of the beauty of where we’ll be getting married and the majesty of the world God has created!

My finance and I love to decorate with pictures. In fact, the theme of our wedding is photographs. We have a photobooth, pictures with us and stories from our lives at each table setting, a photograph guest book. We would like to use this to set up or booth where guests can leave advice and tips for a happy marriage.

I’ve got a great closeup shot of both of our faces before the ceremony… we were both trying to help my dad tie his tie. It’s weddingy without the big white dress and tux. Plus, it reminds me of my family too.

As much as I would like to use this on ourselves, I think given the time of year I would use it to give my mom a canvas of one of her favorite pictures from my bridal portraits. She flew down to Texas from Boston just to be there when I had my pictures done… she said she wanted to enjoy me in my dress before the hustle of the big day. I think she would really love this and it would take her by surprise! On another note, the FI and I have been talking about getting a canvas printed from the wedding because we think they are neat looking. We’ll definitely bookmark this site! Thanks for the opportunity!

I would definitely use an engagement picture, I think over time it wiould be more classic. It would be great to incorporate it onto our guest book table. I have totally been trying to find a way to do this! My fiance and I got engaged on a trip to Italy. We had pulled over at the end of a driveway of this incredible winery to take pictures of the beautiful landscape covered with grapevines. I so want to make a large canvas print of the picture I was taking when he proposed to hang in our house!

I would love to have my favorite image of my fiance and I put on canvas. We are getting married in 18 days, and I would love to be able to come home from the honeymoon and hang this in our new little quaint house that we love so much. Before we were engaged I went to Nashville to visit my fiance and brother for spring break. My brother, who is a photographer along with my fiance, took us up to a hill as the sun was setting and took a photo of us that is absolutely stunning. We are both just dressed in our regular jeans and t-shirt, it is so us, and the colors popping from the sun setting behind the hills of Tennessee are beautiful.

We are getting married the day after Christmas this year. I would definitely have a canvas made of one of our wedding pictures. Our reception is at the Hotel Bethlehem which is the heart of Christmas city – the place is beautiful with live trees and sparkling poinsettas. I have been in love with Matt since High School and can’t wait to become his wife! Thank you for the wonderful offer and love to all your engaged couples !

Our hearts are filled with love, our kitchen filled with gadgets….but our walls are a blank canvas themselves. This would be a perfect finishing touch to our new home…

We have the most gorgeous wedding photo (I am totally in love with it, if you can’t tell!) that I would LOVE to blog up and hang in our apartment. It really looks much more like art than a wedding photo…and I’d love to see it on the wall like a piece of art!

We’re renovating a house to live in after the wedding. We’ve worked the hardest on our fireplace renovations and have been searching for the perfect thing to hang over our mantle we’ve worked so hard on. I can’t think of anything more perfect than a picture of the day we will begin our lives together!

  59. avatar erin reply

Absolutely would have a candid wedding photo on my wall!

I would love to have a poster of our wedding day to decorate our apartment.

I would use this to print a picture of my beloved and me and give it to my parents. They’d love to have a piece of us in their new house!

I would use the very first picture taken of my fiance and myself. Everytime I look at it, I smile. It was taken three years ago while we were working together. Although it is not the most attractive photo (we are both sunburned and dirty from working outside), it marks the beginning of our lives together. It is something that I will always cherish.

We want our wedding to be a reflection of us as a couple, so we are trying to find ways to add personal details that will tell our story. I believe pictures always tell a timeless tale. And, I think pictures look extremely pretty on a canvas! We would use my Mom’s favorite engagement photo for the reception and after give it to her as a way to thank her for all the time and energy she has put in while helping us during the wedding process. Thanks for wonderful inspiration and a wonderful giveaway. It is always appreciated.

We haven’t gotten married yet, but at our reception venue, there is a large grand staircase which will be centered behind our dance floor. I’m hoping to get a picture of all of our guests on these steps to commemorate all of the people we loved that were there to share our special day. That is a picture I’d like to hang in my home in a grand scale. So much love in one image!

I am currently engaged, and we just took our engagemnt photos, but I think I would save this for our wedding pictures. I would love a picture of us walking away from our reception hand in hand down the street. With the streetlights, me and my goom and my fiance in his tux, I just think it would look gorgeous!

  66. avatar Nellie T reply

I would definitely use an engagement photo to place at our reception. Yay for contests.

I would pick our favorite candid shot from the wedding day. I would put it somewhere we would see everyday so we could be reminded of the joy of that day.

Our reception is on the 4th floor of an art museum – I would love to have this in the lobby (our engagement pics) with a sign under it to let everyone know to go up to the 4th floor!

We were married in an Antebellum Bed and Breakfast in New Orleans in April. I would totally blow up a candid picture that was taken right after our wedding ceremony when our photographer caught us just sitting on the beautiful antique bed in my bridal suite taking a quick break before the reception began.

I would love a canvas from our wedding that CAPTURES the essence of our LOVE for each other. I want to hang it our house as a daily reminder and to look at each other and thank God for each other. I also want it on display to show our friends and family that our house is warm and full of love. I just want a BEAUTIFUL canvas print that is a beautiful, piece of art that I can look at and it can melt my heart…

I would really love to have a canvas print of my fiance and I on our wedding day to display in our home for years to come.

Less than five minutes ago, I was walking down the stairs in my townhouse, thinking how wonderful a big picture like this would be right there at the bottom of the stairs. This is exactly what we need to showcase a photo from our upcoming wedding!

  73. avatar Jillian reply

I would use the picture canvas as a keepsake to hang in our house. I would use a picture taken at the wedding. It would be a wonderful reminder of the day of our wedding. The day that two become one!

I would LOVE to have a canvas of our ENGAGEMENT picture at the rehearsal dinner and reception. As my bridal portraits will be up for everyone to see, I’d love to have an engagement picture including my fiance up so he feels as SPECIAL as I will on our big day. Also, our reception is at an art gallery and they may just let us hang it on the walls by the art, because love truly is an ART.

  75. avatar Dana reply

I can’t wait to have our photos made during our wedding. We are going to a family farm and having portraits made by our photographer. I know they will turn out fabulous, and they would be perfect on a wall in our new home!

My fiance sent me this link to pick a wedding style. I dont know what that means, but I saw this and wanted to have one of our engagement photos done for her, as a suprise.

My fiance and I would love to have the photo of us, when we got engaged, blown up on a canvas to display at the guest book table at our reception. We would surround it with framed photos of our family members on their wedding days, to honor the people that helped us get to where we currently are in life.

The past 2 years my fiance and I have been in a long distance relationship. He recently was able to come home for 10 days during which we had our fabulous and fun engagment session. We started the session at the concert venue where we had our first date. They let us on stage with lighting just like the rockstars! I would love to have a canvas print to showcase this awesome experience at the wedding and forever in our home!

I would use one of our engagement photos, which would dual as a decoration at our reception. Our engagement photos turned out awesome – we took them at a vintage aircraft museum. My fiance and I met in an airport gift shop and ended up being on the same flight…definitely destiny playing a part in us meeting. We’ve been having fun tying in our serendipitous meeting into our wedding elements, for instance save the date airport boarding passes, luggage tags as placecards and a set of luggage as the card holder. The canvas poster of one of our engagement photos would be the perfect complement at our wedding reception to tie together our theme. Since most people haven’t seen our engagement photos, this would also be the perfect opportunity to share with them our very special engagement photo shoot!

I am in the process of moving into a new office for my event planning firm. We are having canvas prints done of favorite images from past events to grace the walls in the new space. One image in particular that would look awesome as a 16×20 is a room shot from one of my most recent brides, and we filled the room with tall floral arrangements, sapphire pintuck linens, and modern blue and green uplighting. This shot wows people every time they see it, and I can’t wait to see it as a canvas print for the office!

I would start by sifting through the thousands of digital images of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park that my fiance and have taken together over the past 5 and half years to find the perfect one! We both share a passion for photography and the outdoors, and we’ve been talking about how cool it would be to have one of our photos printed large-scale on canvas to hang in our first home together. With our wedding only 11 days away, it would be a wonderful wedding gift to us!

We are so looking forward to our wedding on August 22, 2009 at Cameo Heights Mansion located in Washington State wine country. Our engagement photo session at Chandler Reach Winery – infamous for their "36 Red" vintage truck and wine – was fun and playful! We would love to share our gorgeous engagement photo with "36 Red" at our wedding for all to enjoy. The Southern Weddings blog has inspired us to create a fabulous wedding. Thanks so much – Cheers!

My heart, my soul, my sister got married in March in a beautiful southern wedding in Alabama, where 2 cultures merged. Though I’m not married, I’ve been told love is a journey that starts with romance, then a power struggle, (if you make it, it’s) followed by a mature love and respect for each other. Her love with her husband and their marriage is beautiful, inspirational, patient, kind, growing stronger every day. Knowing that there will be rough days, I want them to have a canvas from her engagement photo session where she is laughing as her then fiance carries her on his back. For those days when they don’t feel like laughing, this canvas would hang directly in front of their bed and serve as a reminder of why they married to each other, the real love they have for each other, so that they can remember the joy of each other & let go of the fear & worry & not go to bed, mad at each other.

I would love to have a canvas made of the moment when we exchange rings…just a close-up of our hands. I think that exact moment is really special and it would be a great reminder of what our wedding day is really about.

We are getting married in November 2009 and it would be wonderful to have this beautiful canvas print to remember our wedding day by.

For our wedding next year, I know my parents will want the gamut of traditional photos – this side of the family, that side of the family, etc. I’m more interested in a candid picture of my fiance and I at the wedding/reception, one that captures the "real" us – one showing us having a blast surrounded by friends and family!
