We classify ourselves as modern, clean-lined, photojournalistic photographers, and are always striving to set the bar in our industry with style and beauty. We are the silly couple you call to go to dinner with if you need a laugh, and the compassionate couple you can count on for advice or a shoulder to lean on. Ryan & Rach Photography is compassionate about the love captured through our cameras, compassionate about our couples, and, most of all, compassionate about the wedding day!

Name(s): Ryan and Rachel Moser
Where you call home: We currently reside in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, but just outside of Charlottesville, Virginia is where we grew up and still call home.
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: Ryan received his degree in Graphic Design and Photography from The Art Institute in Pittsburgh, and went on to learn from many great wedding photographers before starting his own business. Rachel worked as a wedding planner in the Outer Banks for many years before joining forces with her husband on the photography side. We had always known we wanted to work together as a team and are so proud of our accomplishments to date. We are featured in many different publications, such as The Outer Banks Bride, Borrowed & Blue, The Knot, Artfully Wed, and Southeastern Bride. We are also proud to be a part of The Rising Tide Society, which is a campaign to promote community over competition. We also put together an amazing charity event every year called “Help-Portrait,” in which we (along with many other local photographers) give back to our community by providing free portraits to people who cannot afford professional photography services.
Location/Coverage: We are international wedding photographers and will travel wherever our passports will take us!
How I got into weddings: After we got married, we moved from our small town in Virginia to the Outer Banks, where Rachel opened her wedding planning business and Ryan worked by helping other wedding photographers. After a few years of loving life and living in paradise, we decided to open shop and Ryan and Rach Photography was born.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Sweet tea, bourbon, bread pudding, lightin’ bug catching, sayings like “bless your heart,” and words like “y’all.”
Favorite part of a wedding day? The emotions. We love seeing the secret kisses that the groom gives the bride, the father whispering “I love you” to his baby girl before they walk down the aisle, and the tears from the mother of the bride as she watches her daughter dance with her daddy.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Don’t worry about the details–they will all fall into place. Don’t worry about time, because nothing can start without you. Take it all in!
Dream travel destination? Iceland (Ryan) and Ireland and England (Rach)
Favorite Southern city? New Orleans…no, Savannah…no, Charleston. I can’t pick! They are all amazing!
Early bird or night owl? Night owls who wish they were early birds.
Favorite pie flavor? Peach (because it’s Ryan’s nickname for Rach!)
Favorite biscuit topping? Apple butter, duh!
