On a Whim Photography
I have to admit that On a Whim’s Winchester Opera House wedding photos are some of my recent favorites. You can just feel the crisp fall air surrounding that lucky couple, and I imagine your photos by Brooke Bailey would be just as breathtaking.
I do a hybrid of film photography and digital photography. I strive to create still images with just as much emotion as in real life. I strive to tell each couple’s unique and special story.
Where you call home: Lexington, Kentucky
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: I am honored to have my work published on various places such as the Local Travel Channel, Southern Weddings Magazine’s Blog, Kentucky Bride Magazine, the Hayley Paige Blog and more.
Location/Coverage: I photograph in Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and am available for travel.
How I got into weddings: Photography was my hobby and my heart from the beginning. But it wasn’t until I had a friend get married that I realized it was my passion. I was hooked and couldn’t shake the amazing feeling I got when I photographed my first real wedding. The realness and all the beauty that fills the day. My heart was full.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Everything from the southern hospitality to the beautiful landscapes, and I can’t leave out the Sweet Tea!
Favorite part of a wedding day? I would have to say when the bride has the first look with her father. I fight back tears myself every time.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Soak up every single moment you can! Find time throughout the day to take it all in. Just a moment for each other. Take the day in and enjoy it as much as you can. Have fun because it goes by quickly.
