Upon marrying four years after meeting the first day of their first class in college, Mark and Andrea embarked upon a journey through their business that showcased both Andrea’s love for people and Mark’s passion for photography. Thirty one years later, they and their daughters Marielle, Julianne, and Caroline are still known for their passion for photography and love for their clients. Their business has allowed them to enjoy their shared passions for the art of the moment, the people they share it with, and the joy that comes in delivering memories that will last a lifetime.

Things you’d write home to your Momma about: Well, we can start off by bragging on our parents. They have been able to support our family of five on their hopes and dreams, which is something to commemorate! For us to ALL join them on this crazy ride of working together in such a lovely profession is mind-blowing to all of us. We have had multiple weddings featured in magazines and popular blogs including Southern Weddings, Charleston Wedding Magazine, Savannah Weddings Magazine, The Knot Magazine (Georgia and South Carolina), The Celebration Society, A Low Country Wedding Magazine, and many more. We strive to keep the values and beliefs that our parents taught us at the center of our business and lives, to show thanks for their love for us and their care that we set our hearts and minds on things above.

How we got into weddings: Our daddy, Mark, followed his high school girlfriend into a photography class, which launched him into a lifetime of love for photography. Our parents have captured HUNDREDS of weddings since 1985, and were the very best at “what mama wanted.” When the resurgence of weddings as art began to inspire my sister and I in college, it was a breath of fresh air for our whole family, as we learned from our Daddy’s knowledge for light, film, and processing while he rekindled his first love for photography as art.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? From Caroline: “Authenticity. The people are real. You learn so much about them and become a part of their family as you watch the moments of the day unfold. Through the moments captured, you’re able to catch a glimpse into their lives together and the love they share.”
Favorite part of a wedding day? From Marielle: “One of the most beautiful moments on a wedding day is when the veiled bride is presented by her father to her husband. This is such a beautiful correlation to our place as the bride of Christ. This moment always warms our hearts for what it represents for our couples on this special day. A Southern cathedral-length veil just makes the visual symmetry of this moment even more beautiful.”
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? From Julianne: “Don’t forget what the day is about. Your wedding day is a day that you make a covenant between you, God, and the person you love most on this earth. Your wedding will be beautiful and it will be special, but the state of the heart when entering into such a powerful covenant means so much more the months leading up to and decades following the wedding. Prepare your hearts for the relationship, not just the celebration. That will make the celebration that much more special.”
