I’m a Southern girl, born and raised! I love anything and everything that has to do with the South and love. I love capturing emotion-filled moments, and on wedding days, there are lots of them :) It’s my prayer that I allow my brides to experience the love, bliss, emotion, and pure joy not only between them and their groom on their wedding day, but from all of their friends and family as well, year after year through their photos. My motto is that letting love be as it is–elegant, beautiful, and simple–makes life full of so much beauty.

Name: Brittany Sturdivant
Where you call home: Birmingham, Alabama, AKA “The Magic City”
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: WeddingWire’s Bride’s Choice Awards, being published in online publications Wedding Chicks, Southern Weddings, The Perfect Palette, Grey Likes Weddings, and Borrowed and Blue, and having two images voted in the top 10% in Shoot & Share’s 2016 Photo Competition.
How I got into weddings: I spent the majority of my high school photography class stalking various wedding photographers and blogs. I was so enamored by the emotional and candid moments captured on such a special day. I never thought about it being a career until I met my best friend in college. Her continued passion and drive for photography encouraged me to keep exploring with my camera. I kept being drawn back to the emotions of a wedding day, and eventually, I ended up interning with Kelly Cummings of Spindle Photography. Kelly helped me launch Love Be Photography five years ago and continues to be such a great mentor and friend!
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? The family heirlooms, traditions, and heritage.
Favorite part of a wedding day? When the bride and groom are announced for the first time at the end of the ceremony, and when the bride and her father are about to walk down the aisle!
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? At the end of the day, you’ll be married. Whatever detail you forgot, to do that didn’t get done, or ribbon you forgot to tie won’t matter. What your family and friends will remember is the look on your faces when you say your vows, the fun you had dancing together, and the joy they felt being a part of the start of your marriage.
