JP Pratt Photography
One of the main reasons it’s important to hire a great photographer is he or she is one of the few vendors whose work you get to keep forever! JP Pratt really gets it. He says he wants your photos to tell your love story and convey the joy of your day for future generations to enjoy. If that’s what you want too, JP may be your new best friend!

For me, the fuel behind my business is all about relationships. From my very first interaction with my couples, I want them to feel comfortable and confident with me and to feel like we could be friends forever. I’m passionate about telling the true story of my clients and capturing their unique personalities and love story together. My hope is that years from now, when my couples are sitting down to share their wedding photos with their children and grandchildren, the photos tell the true story of their love and the way they felt on their wedding day!
Name: JP Pratt
Where you call home: Orlando, Florida
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: Besides my beautiful wife, Teresa, of almost 7 years and my two sweet little ones (Ellis + June), I’d have to say it was such an honor to be featured in Style Me Pretty last year for a sweetly Southern estate house wedding I shot in Austin, Texas. I am also incredibly grateful and blown away by the fact that my client base has grown by 300% solely by word of mouth in the three years since I started my business. It’s incredibly humbling to have shot over 70 weddings since the end of 2015 when I launched my business.
Location/Coverage: Florida, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington DC, New York, International (Ireland + Bahamas)
How I got into weddings: I stumbled into it, honestly. I started taking an interest in photography after I borrowed a camera from my parents-in-law, and through some encouragement of friends and my love for weddings and people, I began photographing weddings.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? The culture, the traditions, and the kindness. Each time I photograph a wedding, I am always blown away by all the sentimental touches of each bride and the family traditions that are incorporated.
Favorite part of a wedding day? I love the portion when I get to spend one-on-one time with each couple taking their portraits. I also LOVE the mother/son and father/daughter dances.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Enjoy the day, make it about who you are as a couple, and take in the beginning of your marriage more than anything else.
Dream travel destination? Anywhere in the Smokey Mountains and Yosemite National Park.
Favorite Southern city? Charleston, South Carolina or Savannah, Georgia
Early bird or night owl? Early Bird!
Favorite pie flavor? Pie…just pie. But if I had to pick one, it’s peach and apple.
Favorite biscuit topping? Sausage Gravy!
