As they say, if you are able to turn your passion into your career, you will be successful. I’d thank her for supporting my dreams and let her know I wouldn’t be here without her support. I’ve been featured in many wedding publications and had the joy of shooting weddings all over the Southeast!

How I got into weddings: I have always enjoyed photography as a hobby, but it wasn’t until I graduated college that several friends started asking if I would take their engagement photos. I LOVED it from that moment!! Before long, they were asking me to capture their wedding days, and to be honest, it terrified me. I knew how important that role was. After shooting my first wedding, I knew this was something I wanted to do more of, but I also knew I needed more training and education. I attend some classes and workshops with established and well-respected photographers. Before I knew it, my business had taken off and I was a full-time wedding photographer. I haven’t looked back and I’m over the moon to call this my job. Having Mitchell work alongside me since we got married about four years ago has been the absolute best!
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? The intimate details, Southern hospitality, and of course, mac and cheese!
Favorite part of a wedding day? When the bride and groom are pronounced husband and wife!! The anticipation of the announcement and the KISS is always the cutest!! The smiles on their family and friends’ faces overflow my heart with joy. As they exit their ceremony with the giddy-in-love kind of joy – that makes my heart beat. That makes me wanna jump up and down with them! It’s official from that moment!
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Always remember that your marriage is even more important than your wedding day! Your wedding day will come and go, but your marriage is for a lifetime! Don’t sweat the small stuff, take it ALL in, and ENJOY your beautiful day! Put just as much, if not more, time into your soon-to-be marriage as you do your wedding day, and remember, at the end of the day, it’s about being married to your best friend and starting a new life together!
