Hi there! I’m Amanda of Amanda Castle Photography. My business is built on the idea of intentionally loving my clients and capturing their story in an honest and beautiful way. I use medium format and 35 mm film alongside digital to give my clients timeless works of art. Your story is your legacy, and I believe it should be beautifully documented.

Name: Amanda Castle
Where you call home: A quaint little town outside of Winston-Salem, NC
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: In all honesty, there is nothing better than getting a heartfelt letter from my bride saying every moment was perfectly captured. I’m most proud in my business when I can say that a client has become a dear friend. Aside from that, I’m honored that my work has been seen through Trendy Bride Wedding Magazine, Southern Weddings, Belle Lumiere, Borrowed & Blue, and The Lovely Find.
Location/Coverage: Southeast and worldwide
How I got into weddings: I spent a lot of my childhood making clothes, playing dress up, and putting on extravagant plays for any willing eyes that would watch. This, I think, is where my love for capturing stories began, and shooting a wedding is the best kind of story. I shot my first wedding in 2012 for a friend and I still love what I do just as much, if not more, than when I first started.
Favorite part of a wedding day? My favorite part of the wedding day has to be when the bride and groom are alone for either their first look or their portraits at sunset. You can visibly see them relax into each other’s arms as they are able to really savor what the day means. I’m a sentimental crier, so you can almost always find me crying behind my camera at first looks or at the moment a father gives away his baby to another man.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Invest in vendors that you connect with, love, and trust completely so that on your wedding day, you can truly enjoy every moment without having to worry about the details.
Dream travel destination? Iceland, New Zealand, or Greece… y’all, I can’t just pick one!
Early bird or night owl? Night owl. I’ve tried to be an early bird, but then I hear my alarm go off and I just can’t make it happen!
Favorite pie flavor? My dad instilled in me that there is no greater pie than a coconut cream pie.
Favorite biscuit topping? The two staples of life: butter and honey, of course!
