Hi, we’re Kyle and A.J. Dunlap, a husband and wife wedding photography team. It’s nice to meet you! We are 30 and 32 years young, 10 years into the adventure that is our marriage, and proud parents to a beautiful baby girl named Adeline Pearl. She lights up our world with her bright blue eyes, contagious smile, and pigtails. Authentic is the word we use to describe our style and the experience we give our couples. A.J. Things you’d write home to your Momma about: We are so proud to have recently celebrated our fifth anniversary in business! Our business has taken off this past year, and we’ve been featured on many national wedding blogs, and even in a few magazines! We’re proudest of the relationships we build with our couples, and that they want to be our friends even after the wedding is over.

How I got into weddings: I, A.J., am one of six kids. When my older siblings started having kids, we saved up to buy a camera to document all their cuteness. That grew into photographing families. One day a nanny of one of those families asked me to photograph her wedding. We left that very first wedding exhausted and fulfilled. Up until then we both had been searching for what we wanted to do with our life, and that day, we found it.
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? The dresses. Southern lace and long, flowing gowns make us swoon!
Favorite part of a wedding day? The moment just after a couple is pronounced husband and wife. It never fails, every single couple gives the biggest smiles and joy radiates from them!
Dream travel destination? Australia, for sure! But pretty much anywhere — we love to explore!
Favorite Southern city? We love the quiet little towns. Southport, NC is one of our favorites! They have cute restaurants on the water, and it’s so quaint. We could spend weeks in Charleston, but who couldn’t?! That place is amazing, and definitely has our hearts!
Early bird or night owl? Kyle is an early bird through and through, and I’m the night owl of the family.
Pie bar or red velvet cake? Is ice cream a choice? No? Then it’s a pie bar for us!
Pottery Barn or Anthropologie? Why must you make us choose?! Ahhh, we’ll go with Anthropologie, but seriously, can we say both?
Succulents or peonies? Succulents! Except those two weeks in May when peonies are in season, then we can’t get enough of them!
