Ah, can y’all believe it?! Just eight more days until V6 hits newsstands! While I know this just-over-a-week wait can be a challenge, it will be worth it!

Y’all know college football is big business in the Kloess family, so I can’t help but adore this love story; not only does it start on game day, but the couple also had a game day first date! That’s true Southern love, y’all! And it didn’t stop there–Mycah + Todd carefully infused their alma mater into their big day with just the right amount of garnet and gold. You know what else they perfectly infused? Good ol’ Southern cuisine! Mycah’s passion for cooking and baking played a big role in their food selection of yummy Southern delights like pimento cheese biscuits and little bitty shrimp and grits. But, as all good Southern girls know, sometimes you need a Chick-Fil-A chicken mini, so Mycah + Todd served them on platters as a late night snack! Yum!

Thanks to Red Fly Studio for sharing this sweet day with us!

I found my dress at Love, A Bridal Boutique in my hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. At my very first bridal appointment, it was the first dress I tried on. I instantly fell in love and felt so “me” in the dress. Being the indecisive girl that I am, I wasn’t convinced that it could be that easy, so I continued to try on dress after dress. I went to three different stores and tried on close to 50 dresses. Finally, I started to realize that none of the dresses compared to that first one I tried on. I decided to go back to the store where I first found “my dress” and brought along a few more family members for added support. With their reassurance and encouraging words, I was finally able to say yes to the dress.

My something borrowed was the beautiful belt I wore with my wedding dress. It belonged to a dear friend who wore it down the aisle just a year before me. For something blue, my Mom and Dad presented me with a ballerina cut sapphire ring at one of our engagement parties. This ring holds exceptionally meaningful significance in my family and was one of the most special details of my wedding. My something old was a handkerchief that belonged to my great grandmother. My wedding dress happened to have pockets, so I kept it tucked in my pocket throughout the entire day and used it to dry my tears during our first look and as we recited our vows. My something new was my dress, as well as my veil that my new sister-in-law surprised me with. She had been there when I said yes to the dress and knew how much I wanted the veil. Unbeknownst to me, she purchased the veil and surprised me with it at my bridal shower.

Did you decide to do a “first look”? Why or why not? Yes! After surveying quite a few of my married friends, we decided that doing a first look was definitely for us. Not only did we want to save time in between the ceremony and reception by taking pictures beforehand, but we wanted the photographers to capture the expressions on our faces (up close and personal) when we first saw one another. I know some people are hesitant to do a first look, but it did not, in any way, take away from the emotion that we both experienced when I walked down the aisle towards Todd. If anything, it allowed us to enjoy that moment even more.

Describe your wedding flowers. Our wedding flowers took my breath away. They were absolutely stunning. The overall color palette was neutral, creating an elegant, yet organic, look and feel. My bouquet included lush white peonies, ivory ranunculus and wax flower, blush pink spray roses, seeded eucalyptus and rustic scabiosa pods. The bridesmaids carried classic white hydrangeas with giant white peonies, blush pink spray roses and vibrant greenery. Displayed in a mixture of mercury glass and clear vases, the centerpieces at the reception were a mixture of white peonies and hydrangeas, ivory ranunculus and wax flower, soft pink spray roses, seeded eucalyptus, scabiosa pods and succulents.

How did y’all meet? Tell us your love story. We met in October 2007 at Todd’s fraternity house after the Florida State vs. Miami football game. Though we had a lot of mutual friends, we had never officially met. As I was about to head home for the night, Todd approached me and began to tell me about how he thought I was the most gorgeous girl he had ever seen. He said he had been thinking this for a while and he had to come and tell me (Todd may or may have not had a little bit of liquid courage beforehand–it had been a long game day). I was flattered and wanted to know more about this cute boy who had all of these sweet things to say. Later the next week, a mutual friend “refreshed” Todd’s memory of what he had said to me. Embarrassed, he came to apologize to me, and smoothly, also asked me to be his date to the next football game. From then on, we were inseparable. It wasn’t long at all before we both knew we had found the one.

Our favorite detail of the wedding was: There are so many design details that I absolutely loved about our wedding. The stunning glass mirrored dining tables, the grand chandeliers that twinkled throughout the room, and rustic wooden food signs suspended from the ceiling are a few that really stand out in my mind. Another favorite detail would have to be the dueling pianos we chose for our entertainment. We wanted to do something different that our guests would not only enjoy, but really remember. With custom song requests cards on every table, guests were given the opportunity to write down a song of their choice and then toss the card up onto the pianos. This allowed the guests to interact with the entertainment in a way they wouldn’t normally at other weddings. The dueling pianos were exciting and entertaining, yet still provided a relaxed atmosphere for the reception.

Describe your wedding cake or dessert. Heavenly. That’s the word I’d like to use to sum up our wedding cake. As an avid baker, the cake was particularly imporant to me. It not only had to look pretty, but it had to taste good. The Cake Shop in Tallahassee created our deliciously sweet and decadent four-tiered yellow wedding cake with buttercream frosting. Displayed on a tree trunk wooden stand, the cake had elegant ridged detailing along the sides, pillowy dots surrounding the bottom of each layer, and fresh white peonies that adorned the top and middle of the cake. It was unlike any other cake I have ever had. My husband and I are constantly craving it and have been tempted so many times to pull our anniversary layer out of the freezer and dive in early. We have restrained ourselves thus far and I pray we can until next May!

Tell us all about the proposal! We were both in school for the majority of our relationship, and we agreed that we wanted to wait until we both were finished before embarking on that next chapter. After we had both been working in the real world for about a year, and after four and a half years of dating, Todd decided it was finally time to pop the question. In August 2012, we traveled to one of our favorite places together, Seaside, Florida, to spend one of the last weekends of summer at the beach. After dinner at Bud and Alley’s (a cozy restaurant on the water), Todd suggested that we go for a walk on the beach. As the sun had already gone down and it was pitch dark outside, I was extremely hesitant and was not feeling the walk at that time. Todd persisted and I finally agreed. After a few moments walking along the beach, Todd began to say lots of sweet and wonderful things. The next thing I knew, Todd was on one knee asking me to marry him. After saying, “Wait, what?” and “Are you being serious?” about ten times, I finally said YES! My best friend had finally asked me to marry him and it was the best night of my life. The amazing surprise didn’t stop there. As we returned home to Tallahassee on Sunday, Todd said that he’d like for us to stop by his parents’ house before going home, because they really wanted to see us. Unsuspecting, I agreed. As we pulled up to the house, all of my family, as well as Todd’s, were there to surprise us and help us celebrate that special time! It was truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life and a memory that I’ll cherish forever.

How many friends, family members, and loved ones attended your wedding? 225
Did you write your own vows? If so, what was your favorite phrase, verse or line? We did not write our own vows. Though we recited the traditional vows that are used in most Episcopalian ceremonies, it did not make the ceremony any less emotional. When Todd began to recite his vows to me, I lost it!
What readings, if any, did you have at your ceremony? My godparents read the two scripture readings that Todd and I chose for the ceremony. The first was Song of Solomon 2:10-13, 8:6-7 and the second reading was I John 4:7-16.
Tell us about some of the songs you used throughout your wedding and why you chose them. The bridal processional entered to “Air from Water Music” by G.F. Handel. I chose this song for its light and cheery temperament. I walked down the aisle to “Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer.” This has always been a favorite hymn of mine, and it also happens to be the same hymn that Duchess Kate Middleton walked down the aisle to (I just love her!). During the ceremony, the entire congregation sang together, “Praise to the Lord, The Almighty,” another hymn that Todd and I both love. My dad and I danced to “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra, and Todd and his mom danced to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Isreal Iz Kamakawiwo’Ole. Our first dance song was a little interesting. Though Todd and I had been together for nearly five years, we had never had “a song” together. From the time we got engaged, we both spent a lot of time thinking about what our first dance song would be. Of course, the day of the wedding finally arrived and we STILL had not decided on a first dance song. As I was getting ready with all my girls, my wedding planner informed me that we had to pick something or he was going to pick for us. One of my bridesmaids pulled out her iPod and we started listening to all different kinds of classic love songs. When “At Last” by Etta James came on, I decided that that was it! No more indecisiveness. It was a song that I had always loved and I decided it would just be a surprise to Todd. It ended up being the perfect spur of the moment decision and it sounded great on the dueling pianos!
What Southern details or traditions did you include in your celebration? What was Southern about your wedding? The food we served on our big day was Southern to the core. The food was especially important to me because of my passion for cooking and baking. Being from the South, we wanted staples that every good Southerner would enjoy. For appetizers, we served mini shrimp and grit cups and pimento cheese-stuffed biscuits. Our main items included pulled pork and pulled chicken sliders with cole slaw, a macaroni and cheese station complete with toppings like bacon and black eyed pea salsa, and fried green tomatoes with spicy remoulade sauce. For drinks, we served beer, wine and champagne, along with Arnold Palmers in mason jars. Sticking with our Southern food theme, we had Chick-Fil-A chicken minis brought out on platters for a late night snack. Needless to say, the food was a HUGE hit. People want to feel comfortable and I think that classic Southern cuisine always makes people feel at home, whether they are from the South or not. :)
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? My biggest challenge was learning to let go of the little things that really weren’t important. There were so many minor details that I managed to worry about, even though no one but me would ever notice them. I had to remind myself that our marriage is a blessing from God and that all the other stuff really doesn’t matter.
What is the one detail or vendor that you were so happy to have as a part of your wedding? Honestly, all of our vendors were absolutely incredible. Our photographers, Red Fly Studio, did an unbelievable job of perfectly capturing the emotion of our special day. Darin Jones, our florist, went above and beyond to give us the most beautiful flowers for our wedding day. Our wedding planner, John Gandy Events, was also one of the best decisions I made during the wedding planning process. Planning a wedding can be incredibly stressful, but John and his team made it an absolute joy. He created the most breathtaking wedding reception I could have ever dreamed of. His attention to detail is remarkable and his work is unlike any other.
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? This is a tough one! Getting ready with all of my best friends, my first look with Todd, walking down the aisle with my dad, the toasts and sweet words that were said at the reception. So many amazing memories jump out of my mind about that day. However, reciting our vows to each other really stands out in particular. So many emotions came over me at that time. I was thankful that we had chosen each other, joyful for our love for one another and excited for this next chapter of our lives together. I will cherish those words and that moment forever.
What advice do you have for folks currently planning a wedding? Hire a wedding planner! Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful and overwhelming, and if you’re like me, you’ll worry about anything and everything there is to possibly worry about. I like to think of myself as a pretty organized person, but when you’ve never planned a wedding before, it’s hard to know where to begin. Your wedding planner will not only keep things organized and on the right track, they will also know how to handle anything and everything that could possibly happen during your wedding planning process. They will not only save you the amount of money you spend on them, but they will save you tons of time, energy and stress. Our wedding planner was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding, and if we had to do it all over again, we would hire him in an instant, no matter the cost. They will be worth the money you invest in them, I promise!
What’s next for you as a couple? What are you most looking forward to about married life? We are most looking forward to making new memories and family traditions together, and to love each other more deeply every single day. We are also excited to start looking for a home to call our own, to do a bit of traveling in the near future, and to welcome a puppy into our family. We are just soaking up this time as newlyweds and enjoying this new chapter of our life together!

      Hi Morgan,

My friend and I actually came up with the initial design and slogan for the koozie and a local printing company in Tallahassee designed them for us. You can contact Amanda at Karmanos Printing and mention Mycah’s koozie’s and she’ll know which ones you want. :) Hope this helps!

Every once in awhile, people who find out I work for Southern Weddings ask me if I have my future wedding all planned out. My answer is definitely not, but one thing that I can’t help but suspect is that choosing a venue will be tough. For Jennifer and Ryan, however, where to wed was no question. Ryan proposed at his family’s lake house, a place where they already had so many wonderful memories, so it was a natural choice for their wedding venue. I’m sure you’ll agree–the views from the house are absolutely breathtaking, and it made a dreamy wedding venue! I can only imagine how amazing it must feel for them now when they visit as newlyweds, reminiscing about so many big moments in their lives that happened there!

Thank you to Sunday Grant for sharing Jennifer and Ryan’s beautiful wedding with us!

My wedding dress was the third or fourth dress I tried on and I knew it was “the one” right away. There’s a great big smile that comes across your face when you find the one that doesn’t happen with other dresses.

Our favorite detail of the wedding was: Being at home! It was so wonderful to feel at home and share another great memory in the house.

What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? The exchange of vows. My parents have been married for 40 years and Ryan’s for 35–the vows were a big moment for us.

Our flowers were gorgeous! We were married at a lake house in the mountains of North Carolina. Since we were essentially in the woods during spring, we were naturally surrounded with shades of green and brown, so we chose vibrant colors–orange and purple–to accent the natural beauty around us.

Our first dance was to the Keith Urban song, “Making Memories of Us.” It’s such a beautiful song. Zorki Nastasil, our musician, sang it live–it was perfect.

How did y’all meet? Tell us your love story. Ours is a friendship that evolved to where we are today–happily married!
Tell us all about the proposal! The proposal was very special (though I think all brides say that!). He proposed at his family lake house, where we have many wonderful memories. It is also the place where we would later decide to marry.

Describe your wedding cake or dessert. We are dessert lovers, so instead of going with one cake, we went the dessert bar route. No regrets there! There was a little something for everyone and it allowed for a variety of tasty treats, from homemade truffles to fresh fruit. Yum!
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? Time! We had recently opened a business, so sharing time between work and planning was difficult. We had a lot of help from Ryan’s mother–without her, we would not have had the beautiful wedding that we did. She has incredible vision and taste. Thank you Denise!
What is the one detail or vendor that you were so happy to have as a part of your wedding? Can I offer three? 1. Uncle Don who married us! 2. Zorki Nastasil is a one-of-a-kind musician. He is a long-time favorite of ours and we are STILL thrilled that he was able to perform at our wedding. Thank you Zorki! 3. Sunday of Sunday Grant Photography. Having quality photos of the wedding was important to us. Knowing we would have beautiful, quality pictures gave us peace of mind. Thank you Sunday!
What’s next for you as a couple? What are you most looking forward to about married life? Getting to experience all that life has to offer with your best friend/love of your life.

I have a habit of reading particularly sweet or funny parts of interviews out loud to my lovely coworkers, and in Lindsey and Adam’s case, I couldn’t resist sharing the fact that Lindsey quoted a Southern classic, Gone With the Wind, in the story of how she and Adam met! She was smitten with him from the moment she saw him, and after “waitin’ on him just like a spider,” they were finally introduced and began to fall in love. This sweet couple was married in Lindsey’s hometown of Jackson, Mississippi with a prayerful ceremony and a reception full of amazing food and fun traditions. Does it get any more Southern than that?

Thank you kindly to Brett Heidebrecht for sharing Lindsey and Adam’s wedding day with us!

Did you have something borrowed, blue, old, and new? If so, do tell! I did! My something borrowed was very special. I had originally bought a veil with french lace lining the bottom of the veil only, with hopes of getting all “DIY” and ordering more lace to have sewn around the the entire circumference of the veil. However, I discovered that ordering the lace itself was more costly than if I had bought the original veil, so I hung it up. However, I met a darling lady, Abbie, about a week before I left Birmingham. I saw her wedding pictures and gasped–she was wearing my dream veil! She offered to lend her veil to me upon our first meeting! I was blown away by her generosity! My “something blue” was a pair of Badgely Mischka shoes,” selected by one of my best friends, Audrey. She also talked the salesman into giving us a special deal. I don’t know how she does it! Everyone needs an Audrey in their life! My something new was everything else on my person!

I spotted Adam for the first time at my first “Progressive Dinner,” held during one of my first weekends as a resident of Birmingham, Alabama. When he walked in the door, my jaw hit the floor! I spent the better part of the night either in the bathroom with one of my besties, Audrey, getting the scoop on him and telling her she MUST set us up and making loops around the house party, trying to catch his eye. It didn’t work. After that, I set out on a mission to run into this gorgeous guy again. I didn’t know his name, so naturally, my friends and I deemed him “My Original Birmingham Crush” or “Crushie” for short. (I had also heard that he was a very godly man from several trusted sources, so it wasn’t a totally superficial crush!) In the words of THE Scarlett O’Hara, “I was waitin’ on him just like a spider!” One fateful day, I spotted him again at one of my favorite coffee shops in the beautiful Mountain Brook Village, but I didn’t dare approach him! Unbeknownst to me, our mutual friend Thomas was workin’ behind the scenes to set us up (love him!!), and “happened” to invite us both to a movie. Finally, a formal introduction was made! The room was spinning and the chemistry was flowin’. Crushie finally got a name (Adam), and the next day, I got a friend request! So the next time I saw him (at my new favorite coffee shop), it was only natural that we talk (I know what you’re thinking; he approached me, thank you very much). Turns out, his heart was as pretty as his face. We talked for about an hour that first day, and for about three weeks of agony, I waited on that first date. I had grown tired of this relationship (or lack thereof) dominating my thoughts, so I prayed to rest in God’s plans for our relationship, rather than trying so hard to manipulate the situation. That very same day I prayed, he FINALLY asked me out!! The first date went great. Adam was completely open and honest with me about what his intentions were and told me that he wanted to get to know me more as friends. I really enjoyed knowing exactly where I stood with him. Game playin’ is for the birds! About a month later, he asked to pursue me exclusively. He also requested that we not kiss until/if/when we were to get married. I realize this plan is not for everyone, but it was actually very freeing for us, and we had a wonderful summer getting to know each other with beautiful Homewood and Mountain Brook as a backdrop. The Lord continued to bless our relationship as things progressed into the fall (or football season, as it is more commonly known in the South!). It became more and more apparent that Adam was an incredible, godly man who loved and led me very well.

Tell us about finding your wedding dress. It nearly killed me to wait two weeks for my mom to arrive in Birmingham to go dress shopping! It only took two stops before I found a dress they had to pry off me in the store. I felt like a princess! I did get a little carried away in the store and also bought chandelier earrings, a rhinestone ribbon belt, and a trumpet slip. We also added pearls and beads to the top of the dress, but on the Monday before the wedding, I tried on the dress and decided it all had to go! This was a case of less is more. Mom was very gracious about the wasted money, and I made about four trips to the seamstress that week!

Did you write your own vows? If so, what was your favorite phrase, verse or line? We decided to stick with the traditional pledge to commit to each other through anything and everything, before God and our closest friends and family. We couldn’t really top that!
What readings, if any, did you have at your ceremony? We had a “Salt Covenant” performed by Adam’s uncle, Pastor John Dickey. The covenant is derived from the Old Testament custom. Two individuals each bring a pouch of salt and pour the salt together to symbolize coming together in an agreement. The agreement could only be broken if the granules could be separated. This, of course, is impossible, and thus you have an everlasting covenant. “It is an everlasting covenant of salt before the Lord for both you and your offspring.” Numbers 18:19 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Matthew 19:5-6. An added bonus to the tradition is keeping the salt and sprinkling it on anniversary meals forever!

What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? Definitely the first kiss!! He planted one on me that caused the crowd to “ooh” and “ahh!” No one (including me) saw that one comin’!

Tell us about some of the songs you used throughout your wedding and why you chose them. We each chose some of our favorite hymns and worship songs such as “Revelation Song,” “You Reign on High,” and “Be Thou My Vision,” as we wanted our ceremony to be a worship service giving glory and thanks to the Lord for bringing us together. The hymns were particularly special because they were sung by my 12-year-old cousin, Wes Magee, and a best friend of mine, Peggy Pursell. We also chose some traditional wedding classics played on the church’s magnificent organ such as “Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring” for the seating of the mothers and grandmothers, “Canon in D” which transitioned into “Jesus Loves Me” for the children’s processsional, and “Allegro from “Water Music” for the walk down the aisle. Our first dance was to “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers and the theme song for the movie Ghost. This was due to an inside joke between Adam and I. When I would say “I love you,” he would often respond with “Ditto.” I didn’t get it and was slightly offended. He later explained to me that it was a reference to Ghost. I had never seen the movie… needless to say it was one of the first things we watched, shamelessly, after the wedding!

Tell us all about the proposal! Christmas came and I got a picture of an adorable log cabin with the inscription “Get Excited!” written on it for Christmas. Apparently, we were going to Bryson City, North Carolina for a weekend getaway. Not terribly unusual, as Adam is always a man with a plan, and we had previously discussed going to the mountains. The only thing that slightly tipped me off was my mom being very adamant about me getting a cocktail dress dry-cleaned… for the mountains. Again, not terribly unusual, as she always comes packin’ a few cocktail options. The mountains were beautiful, and fortunately, the cabin was also very nice, as we spent the entire first day of our trip iced in. The next morning, we got up to hike, which is one of our favorite activities as a couple. At the end of the hike Adam asked me which waterfall was my favorite. I chose the third. Adam took my hands and told me that he had been thinking and praying very hard about something. He proceeds to tell me his four favorite attributes of me: 1. My relationship with the Lord, 2. My relationship with his friends and family, 3. His attraction for me, and 4. Our growing friendship. With the stunning waterfall roaring in the background, Adam got down on one knee, pulled a little box out of the cargo hiking pants he got before the trip, and asked me to marry him. That’d be a heck yeah! No contemplation needed! After that, we headed back to the cabin, got packed up, and headed back to Birmingham for an intimate dinner with family and a few close friends. I walked into the “dinner” to discover 40 of our closest friends and family yelling “Surprise!” That was definitely one of the top five moments of my life. It meant so much to have all of these people travel from near and far to celebrate our engagement. My head was spinning and didn’t stop for the next five months!

Did you decide to do a “first look”? Why or why not? We decided to do a first look. After the hectic morning and afternoon leading up to the wedding, it gave us some much needed quiet time before the ceremony. Seeing Adam is always so calming for me, and nothing could detract from the once-in-a-lifetime moment of meeting eyes while I was walking down the aisle.
Describe your wedding flowers. My wedding flowers were an elegant array of white and ivory peonies, hydrangeas, roses, and lilies. My bouquet was made up of white roses and peonies, and the bridesmaids carried white hydrangeas with baby’s breath. The church banisters were wrapped lovingly by my uncle Jay and a dear friend Paul with white organza, ivy, and lilies. It was no easy task, as a rodeo parade was being held on the street in front of the church. Apparently, it took a lot of begging to get through to those banisters! The church pulpit was adorned on either side with large urns filled with a variety of the flowers and four large antique candelabras. A large arrangement was featured on the S-shaped buffet table in the center of the reception venue. The reception tables featured centerpieces with a collection of cork screw willows, roses, and hydrangeas, and lights were placed underneath the tablecloths for a dramatic effect.
Describe your wedding cake or dessert. The cake was traditional all-white buttercream. The five scrolled tiers were etched with beaded ribbon. An “R” initial was written into the top layer and fresh white roses sat atop the cake. A crowd and personal favorite was the Starbucks-themed peanut butter and chocolate (need I say more?) groom’s cake. To-go coffee cups sat atop the cake with Raisinets flowing out of them as mock coffee beans. We had to do an ode to the place where the magic all began!
Our favorite detail of the wedding was: The favorite detail of the wedding was our program created by Adam’s father (a printer who crossed into the wedding circuit and quickly crossed back out after the wedding!). Our program was especially sentimental to us because we wanted to honor our attendants by including tidbits about the special role each of them had played in our lives.
What Southern details or traditions did you include in your celebration? What was Southern about your wedding? The food was very Southern! We had shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, sliders and sweet potato fries, a taco bar, late night beignets and frito pies, to name a few of our favorites. We got a lot of positive feedback on the menu! The singing of our sorority song was fun to share with the majority of my bridesmaids, my mother, and some of their mothers. The DMP band out of Memphis, TN brought the Southern soul and the house down! Everybody and their Mamma (literally!) was breaking it down!
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? Our biggest challenge, no doubt, was the invitations! The printer was very gracious to us and Mom dedicated a couple of nights to stuffin’, lickin’, and stickin’. I owe her! Another challenge was my wedding planner having an unexpected emergency and leaving before the reception began. However, a good friend, Abigail stepped up to the plate and things went seamlessly!
If you are comfortable responding, what range did your wedding budget fall into? $50,000-$75,000
What is the one detail or vendor that you were so happy to have as a part of your wedding? All of the friends and family who lovingly served us with their gifts and talents. To name a few: spice rub party favors made by my father-in-law, step-by-step ceremony music planning by a dear family friend, Mrs. Eloise Coleman, constant support and help from my best friend and maid of honor, Mary Katherine (former social chairman of the sorority! She knows her stuff!), and ANYTHING and EVERYTHING by my uncle Jay Magee and another dear family friend, Paul Jankowski. I couldn’t possibly name everyone who contributed! It meant so much to have so many people sacrifice their time for our big day!
What advice do you have for folks currently planning a wedding? Have fun! Don’t sweat the large or small stuff! God miraculously brings the day together! (Hindsights is 20/20–I spent my fair share of nights crying at my laptop).
What’s next for you as a couple? What are you most looking forward to about married life? We are loving married life. Its so nice to have a partner to walk through life with. We are enjoying exploring our new home city Austin, TX!!
