We’re always busy bees in the Southern Weddings office, but this week, the buzz seemed to grow louder. We’re wrangling up some V5 surprises for you and have some great features lined up for next week. In the middle of putting all of this into action, we still snuck in a few moments to celebrate four of our college graduating seniors. Our party was complete with an old school year book signing!

We had to start Monday off on a good foot, which is why Marissa’s Southern Delicacy post was the perfect fit. That is, if you like deviled eggs. I’m personally a fan, but with variations like bacon toppings and buffalo chicken, there’s bound to be an option that speaks to you.

You might remember that we overloaded the blog with some amazing giveaways over the past couple of weeks. We announced our lucky winners and we’re thrilled to hand them their fun prizes.

We love having Katie from Marriage Confessions on the blog. This week, she recapped how she and her husband rediscovered their happiness in marriage. The fact that it took a trip to Costa Rica to help them is just a bonus.

Really, y’all, it’s giveaway heaven on our blog! We had a blast looking through everyone’s entries for our first ever Pinterest Contest and we’ve picked our top three finalists. Y’all get to vote on who will win!

We thought some adorable and eco-conscious bridal shower inspiration was perfect for Earth Day this weekend! Plus, we share the ultimate Southern spa treatment: Sweet Tea Pedicures!

This week’s featured Real Weddings Gallery is Ashley + Ross. Their neutral palette brings attention to the personal details we love most.

Real Weddings are food to our souls

Stacy + Adam’s garden party wedding looks just like the “exuberant bliss” that was expressed on their invitations. See it here.

Jodi + Kurt’s handmade wedding from V4 continues to blow us away. Can you believe the groom catered the entire wedding? See it here and here.’

What are y’all doing this weekend? Tell us in the comments below!

Behind the scenes, we’re dreaming up some V5 awesomesauce for y’all. Our days are now spent filling emails to each other with exclamation marks as we trade ideas. (Seriously. I wish I could show you the email Emily sent me on Tuesday.) Are you getting pumped for this issue to drop?? There’s still a few months between now and then, so we thought we might give you something equally exciting to look forward to: our V5 Model Call!

This time, we’re actually traveling up North to New York for a gorgeous shoot. Available on May 21 in Vernon, NY? Send us your photo! See the details here.

On a calmer note, we started off this week with a refreshing twist on springtime pastels. Emily’s Southwest Agave inspiration board was just what we needed.

Y’all Southerners know about that elusive Southern bump (and Marissa’s favorite hair do ever)! She’s sharing some lovely inspiration and a few tips on how to get the perfect pouf.

We love when beautiful weddings are paired with sweet meaning and memories. That’s why we couldn’t resist giving away a copy of Matthew Robbin’s Inspired Weddings! Go here to enter.

Emily ducked out of work a little early on Tuesday to head to her first gown fitting (eek!!) and we know she’ll look gorgeous. However, we have been quite curious about what her fiance is going to wear when Emily meets him at the alter. The answer? It’s quite dapper and it was a score!

This week’s featured Real Wedding Gallery is Suzanne + Keith. We just adore their wedding, but love their story even more.

Real Weddings are marvelous!

Amelia + Dan’s Charleston wedding was a bit nontraditional but showed off their personality! See it here.

Crystal + Trip’s pink country wedding was equal parts preppy and romantic. See it here.

Ansley + Carlton’s wedding reminded us of the best of the South: spending time with family and friends (and delicious food). See it here.

Good news for a good weekend

We’re thrilled to welcome our newest Blue Ribbon Vendors to the Southern Weddings family! Say howdy to Amy Arrington, Elaine Palladino, Kasey D Weddings, KLP Photography, M. Elizabeth Events, Natalie Franke, Orangerie Events, Pen Weddings, Planters Inn and Simply Charming Socials!

Now we know how much y’all love your cowboy boots. That’s why you’re going to love this giveaway from Stetson. Win boots for the big day by entering their Pinterest Contest! See the details here.

Before we go, we have to give a giant shout out, big hugs and a hooray for our reader, Madelynne! She’s getting married tomorrow, y’all! Give her some love!

Have a terrific weekend, dears! What are y’all getting into?

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m really terrible about remembering April Fools Day. It’s always a bit stressful to wake up and hear that all of my friends are engaged at once or (even more stressful,) transferring to Duke. (Sorry, Em.) The fact that this slips my mind means I can’t pull off pranks of my own, though I was never that good at pranks anyway. (You’re welcome, friends.)

For the office as a whole, April 1 is another big holiday for us. It’s our birthday!

We celebrated four amazing years of Southern inspiration, growth and our community of sweet readers. Thank you for helping us along the way!

As part of the celebration, we visited the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Monday and got to meet some of our fab readers.

Of course, you know the celebration doesn’t end there. We packed this week full of candy giveaways! We partnered with 240sweet, Hammond’s Candies, Sweeteeth, Push-Up Pops and Candy Warehouse to help you build the dessert buffet of your dreams! There’s still one more week to enter these giveaways, so don’t miss out!

The first week of April also means that it’s time to round-up the highlights of March’s Real Weddings!

Cotillion
may not be weddings-related, but it’s an oh-so-Southern tradition and full of gorgeous white dresses! Fun fact: our Editor in Chief, Lara was a deb!

We’ve been taking turns dreaming up bridal shower inspiration for each other, though Emily is still the only one in the office who is currently engaged! This week, she built a soiree for Sierra around an usual form of inspiration, our favorite of her shirts!

This week’s featured Real Wedding Gallery was Marilisa + Taylor ! Their yellow and gingham details are Southern style at its finest!

Real Weddings galore!

Beverly + Craig’s yellow and gray wedding was a cheery celebration with fun fall style. See it here.

Rachel + Jeffrey’s classic pink V4 wedding was perfectly pretty and Southern. See it here.

Casey + Wojtek’s Texas rooftop wedding was a combination of sweet traditions. See it here.

More fun events!

In the Nashville area? Tara Guerard will be at the Dotted Line on Monday, April 9 on behalf of her printing company, Lettered Olive. Join her and Kate Little for a Sip-N-See event and book signing! Then, on Tuesday, Tara and Kate will be there again to host private consultations for brides interested in Tara designing her event. Find more information here!

Happy Easter weekend, dears! Tell us about the fun events you’ll be taking part in!
