A Seaside Affair

by in Sponsor Love on

Many thanks to the convenience of the internet, FaceTime, texting, and more, it’s easier than ever to plan a destination wedding, especially if you have a talented team of vendors serving as your eyes and hands on the ground at your wedding destination. That said, it is still so valuable to spend at least a little bit of in-person time wherever you’re getting married–to get some planning done, certainly, but also to help you get excited as you envision that special day coming to life! If you’re currently on the hunt for a dreamy Southern destination for your big day, I’m excited to let you know about the perfect opportunity to visit one in person and get started with your plans!

A Seaside Affair is a bridal show created especially for brides who are planning coastal weddings. This year, it will be held on February 21 from 1-4 P.M., overlooking the ocean at the lovely Jekyll Island Convention Center. A variety of coastal wedding experts and local vendors will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, and there will even be a fashion show styled by Emily Burton Designs. It’s sure to be an incredibly informative (and fun!) afternoon!

Along with making some great connections and checking lots of to dos off of your wedding planning list, A Seaside Affair is the perfect excuse to head out to Jekyll Island for a weekend with your fiancé, your mama, or your maid of honor. The beach is so peaceful in the winter, and there’s nothing like wrapping up in some cozy blankets and listening to the waves to make any planning stress melt away!

A Seaside Affair has generously offered Southern Weddings readers $3 off the cost of their ticket–just use the code SWMAG3 when you purchase your ticket online here to receive the discount!

Do y’all want to hear a secret? Closely following my two home states (Virginia and Texas), Georgia is my very favorite Southern state. From the hustle and bustle of downtown Atlanta to the dreamy coastline, I love it all, which is why I’m tickled pink to let Georgia brides know about A Seaside Affair today!

A Seaside Affair is a bridal show especially for couples getting married on the Golden Isles–a Southern wedding gold mine, thanks to its rich history and beautiful views! The show will be held on January 18 from 1-4 PM, overlooking the ocean at the lovely Jekyll Island Convention Center. A variety of coastal wedding experts will be on hand to answer your planning questions, and of course, it’s a great opportunity to meet local vendors. This year, A Seaside Affair is especially excited to have cake baker Joshua John Russell, of the Food Network, as a special guest!

Along with visiting the show for an afternoon of wedding planning with your mamma or your maid of honor, we think this is the perfect opportunity for a weekend getaway in the Golden Isles! Even in January, being at the beach is so pretty and peaceful–just what any bride would love leading up to the big day.
