Southerners are known for their mouth-watering treats (red velvet cake, anyone?), which is why I always love seeing a couple who chooses to serve an alternative dessert at their reception. Kellie and Marshall did just that, and their pick couldn’t have been more Southern: banana pudding! I love that they did a ceremonial “scooping of the banana pudding” instead cutting the cake!
And how’s that for some good ol’ fashioned smashing?? I like a couple who’s not afraid to get messy on their wedding day :)
Thank you so much for sharing, Nancy Ray! Ladies, if you like this couples’ style, you can see more from their wedding on Nancy’s blog, as well as on their Ruffled feature!

We decided to have individual servings of banana pudding at our wedding in lieu of a grooms cake! Since my husbands favorite dessert is banana pudding, it was only fitting. It was also my Mom’s recipe!
Too cute, Courtney! I love it!
My family loves banana pudding!
We are big banana pudding fans in both of our families. Trying to find a way all 125 of our guests can enjoy it too!
Hey Mary! If you want to serve banana pudding for all of your guests easily, I love Courtney’s idea (below) of serving individual servings! We actually featured this idea in V4 — check out the mini dessert spread!
Emily: I saw y’alls idea in V4! Loved it
Looks good enough to dig right in! Perfect for any southern celebration!
That looks soo yummy! And his braces look so great.
