our rings would definitely be described as sweet and simple. they aren’t decked out in diamonds, but they are perfect for us!
My wedding ring matches my engagement ring exactly. My fiance did such a wonderful job on the engagement ring it was perfect for me and I didnt help him at all, and neither did anyone else. His ring is simple and elegant to match. We are going to get the engraved after the wedding. We want to be married before we decide what we want to put on them together.
These pillows are simply beautiful; I just love them! It’s often difficult to find pillows that aren’t too "weddingish" and they’ve created a perfect alternative to that cheap-looking, blah, borring pillow that is so UNINVITED to my wedding April, 2010. I just love it when 2 creative sisters share/sale their wonderful taste with others! Thanks Melanie and Ashleigh :)
I love the pink embroidered flowers, but I would probably choose something a little more simple. Perhaps a simple while with navy blue ribbon around the edge.
My wedding band was chosen to match the engagement ring my fiance picked out (with little to no help, I might add!). It’s a simple band with diamonds that match the band of my engagement ring and it "gives" to allow room for the side diamond. His was chosen in attempt to find a ring that screams masculinity. We kept both in white gold to make it cohesive and plan to inscribe them with some sweet words or Bible verses when it gets closer to time. Overall, we just went with our own aesthetics!
Those pillows are amazing! I can’t wait to look for one that matches the colors of our wedding! We are going with a wider band for my fiance and are designing a band to go with the engagement ring that he picked out himself for me.
My engagement ring was specially designed, so we had a hard time finding anything that fit alongside it well. Eventually, we selected two thin, simple bands that bookend the engagement ring. The simplicity really sets off the beauty of my engagement!
I love the story of my ring! I custom designed it to show off my grandmother’s diamond. She has alzheimers and won’t be in attendance to the wedding, so it is so special to have a part of her with me. I love the design- my designer took all the aspects I love (like ascending sized side stones and a large "V" supporting the diamond to stand for Victory), and put them all into one ring! The other great part is that my (now) fiance orchestrated the ENTIRE thing while he was deployed to Iraq for the last year. I designed the ring a long time ago and he worked with the designer and my Mom to have it ready when he came home for his mid-tour leave. My wedding band is a tiny one– because I want my engagement ring that means so much to be the focus. His wedding band will be Tungsten, because he works on Tanks and in Humvees, it won’t scratch up. We are ordering one with acid etching in a Celtic cross pattern to honor his Irish heritage from his Grandmother.
My wedding ring is the same as my engagement ring. I only wanted to wear one ring and it’s a diamond band. I adore it. Everyone thinks I’m crazy for not wanting a solitaire but with such an active lifestyle I just didn’t feel like a solitaire kind of girl. I was adamant that it be a vintage ring so that I would be reusing diamonds and not contributing to ills of the diamond trade. My fiances ring will be a plain white gold band. Perfect for fishing and outdoors!
My wedding ring will echo the diamond my FI picked out for my engagement ring. Mini versions of the diamond will line half of my ring. FI is getting a plain comfort fit band. We’re both getting our rings engraved with our initials and wedding date, which is how we did our monogram.
Lovely ring pillows! They are works of art. My engagement ring: my fiance knows me so well! He picked out a simple white gold band with a round cut solitaire. After he picked it out, he brought along his diamond savvy guy friend and my fashion-savvy sister, and they both agreed that was the one. I simple look the classic and clean look. For our wedding bands, I’m wearing two thin bands with tiny round cut diamonds that wrapped around the whole ring. They will go on either side of my engagement ring to show the sparkling beauty on the big diamond! (I picked out the wedding bands.). Oh! His is a simple band (white gold) with a small diamond encased (to match mine).
Before we were engaged (and during) me and my Fiance lived about 6 hours apart from each other. So, when we started looking at rings, we looked online and it went something like this: "ok, I like 3rd row, 2nd over from left…" then he’d say, "ehhh, what about 1st row 3rd ring over"… so on and so on :) haha!I came to visit him and we ended up looking at rings… I knew a designer that I liked (A. Jaffe) and we looked up a local jeweler who carried that designer. We went and looked and tried on about 20 rings… I looked down and saw a ring that I was like, well, I’m here, I might as well try it on. We put it on, the jeweler put a loose diamond in the setting and that was it! We looked at each other and we’re like, we love this! It’s a modern solitaire with diamonds in the band – we love it :) It came with a matching wedding band that has the same diamonds in the band! We finally agreed on one we BOTH loved :)For his ring, since he’s allergic to golds and other metals, we decided to go with a tungsten ring. It wouldn’t react with his skin and it’s definitely him. He really likes it! :)
Our rings most reflect each of us. His is simple and bling free but classic looking. Mine is a paisley design around the band that is ornate, vintage-y, simple, glam, and very south asian. It’s reflective of me and my heritage.
My fiance”s ring is his father’s first wedding band (he upgraded a few years ago) and we’re really excited about that! We are both having our bands inscribed with "It’s a circle" because it is a line from one of our favorite movies, and having a comical line in our wedding bands is just so US! :)
We chose gold rings that look like tree branches not only because they were beautiful, but because we felt that they symbolized our family trees. Family and our roots are very important to both of us, as we are making our way to becoming part of each other’s family and working to create our own.
We will be picking out rings within the next few months, and due to the recent economy we have decided to get simple white gold bands which are more timeless than anything :)
Beautiful work – I love the embrodiery – reminds of my grandmother who I wish could be at my wedding. The pillow would definitely bring vintage to our Christmas wedding and so colorful!Thank you.
His ring is titanium (light and strong) and wood (soft and warm) to symbolize our relationship. Mine is a custom platinum pave band custom made to match my engagement ring. It’s taken a couple of tries to get it right, so when we finally get it (they had to melt it down and try again!) it will be very meaningful!
We haven’t picked them out yet, BUT we both want something classic that we’ll love forever :) Hopefully we’ll have a beautiful ring pillow like one of these to carry them on our special day!
He picked out a beautiful 6-prong solitaire. It’s perfect because my fingers are so short anything more would overpower me. We found a simple wedding band with no diamonds that really makes my engagement ring stand out.
My finance and I chose to purchase our rings from Brilliant Earth. Their diamonds are fair trade, the gold is recycled, and the mining is practiced fairly. It was important to us that our rings be sustainable as we are trying to "green" many areas of our lives. They are gorgeous and we are proud to wear them and support a wonderful business idea.
My wedding ring is custom designed by my fiance. He custom made my engagement ring out of wax, which then served as a mold for platinum. Since the band is so unique, he molded the wedding band at the same time as the engagement ring so it would match! My fiance wants a simple, but different platinum wedding band. I hope we win a great pillow for our little ring bearers! :-)
We designed the engagement band to symbolize our relationship. We are unique- our entire relationship has been. It started with a simple text message "tienes mi corazon" after the second date, which will eventually be engraved on both our wedding bands- to a love that is so powerful and balanced that we wanted it to be displayed on my finger. The engagement band symbolizes this perfectly- the diamond (our relationship) sits between two bands, symbolizing each one of us as individuals, growing together to work as a couple. We are not one entity, but two people working at one powerfully, equal love. The diamond (while absolutely fabulous, let’s be honest) symbolizes something we will work our entire lives to maintain- a passionate love. I will forever and ever be grateful for the chance to design our ring together- because that’s exactly what it is- OUR RING.
My fiance Nick chose a beautiful, elegant setting with seven diamonds on each side of the ravishing diamond given to him by his widowed Grandmother… the round cut diamond is a family heirloom from her engagement ring to mine! She "approved" of me early into our relationship perhaps because of our southern connection since her home state is GA and mine is SC. Plus, the engagement ring has a European flat back within my palm so that it is not easily scratched nor does it scratch any of my musical instruments at work (I’m a music therapist: ). We’re continuing to search for simple yet elegant, white gold wedding bands through local vendors and have 3 1/2 months to go prior to our August wedding in Columbia. Thank you SWMAG for organizing this exciting giveaway!
Our wedding rings will be custom made from stones left behind from his family. His parents had a wonderful, loving marriage and I will be completely honored to wear the precious diamonds that brought his parents through the roller-coaster of marriage! I would like to have something engraved on the rings that is reminiscent of the sacred wedding vows we will take so that it can be a constant reminder that no matter how tough days get, we vowed to each other, forever.
The ring will be simple but practical for our lives her ring is my grandmothers engament ring from 1930’s while my ring is a spinner to give my hands something to do with my adhd
