A few must-reads today:
- I love the Magnolia board that Kathryn from {Snippet & Ink} posted today. Such lovely inspiration for a Southern soirée! Kathryn always puts together the most beautiful boards.
- The team at {Minted} is offering SW readers 15% off all of flat printed save-the-dates. The promotion code is BLG15 (to enter during checkout on the site). Promotion is valid Monday (7/28/08) through Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Aren’t these new designs GORGEOUS!? Thanks to the amazing team at {Minted} for the fab discount!
- I have planned for a while to give my 100th follower on Twitter a little special something… a $20 iTunes gift card! Well, I had no idea it would be one of my fav photographers (and Apple evangelist), [b]ecker. Enjoy the new tunes! I will email you your gift card this afternoon. Check out this gorgeous wedding of [b]ecker’s that we featured last week.
Don’t have a clue what Twitter is? Twitter is a social networking site that allows you to post super-short “Tweets” answering the question “What are you doing?” It’s a great way to keep up with friends and colleagues. The amazing Rebecca Grinnals of {Engaging Concepts} just posted a great entry on Twitter today. Be sure to check it out and see what all the buzz… or uh… tweeting is about! Follow me (Lara) on Twitter. Follow my fab assistant, Laura (love her similar name and she’s a red-head too!) on Twitter.
- The exciting {Hello!Lucky Contest} ends on Wednesday at midnight, so get those comments in for a chance to win 100 Letterpress Invitations from {Hello!Lucky}. (1 ink color with plain envelopes; reply set not included. Retail value of $600). Love it!
- On a personal note, a professor at my alma matter died of cancer on Friday at the age of 47. His life has inspired millions of people through his “Last Lecture”… If you haven’t already seen this bold, moving lecture on how to live your life to the fullest, you are in for a once-in-a-lifetime treat. To read more about Randy Pausch’s life and inspiring message, visit his blog and Last Lecture Site. Randy, you are missed but still deeply felt in all of our hearts. “We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.” -Randy
