Southern Weddings

We saw so many of you instagramming and tweeting the pretty prints you had bought for your mamas that we thought we’d make it official: our South prints make the perfect Mother’s Day gift!

This lovely thick letterpress piece is available in three colors: teal, pink, and metallic gold. (We’ve gone around and around in the office, but can’t for the life of us decide which one we like best!) At just $20, it’s a very doable gift. Toss in a frame from Ikea or Target, and you’ll most definitely be the favorite child :)

You can check out all of our prints right here! Be sure to order by the end of the week for Mother’s Day delivery!

Today’s Southern Spotting is more than just a pretty face, y’all. Read on for the beautiful story behind Becky’s necklace!

From the bride:

“The necklace was made from lace removed from my mother’s wedding dress. I had originally wanted to wear her dress for our wedding, but it didn’t work out as planned. I had seen this necklace on Pinterest and loved it. It seemed like a beautiful way to still include my mom’s dress. I picked out two pieces of lace, bought a chain and clasps from the arts and craft store, and put it together with some wire cutters and pliers. It’s definitely not the most sturdy piece of jewelry, but it did the trick. To me, it completed the dress. I loved the way it turned out. And I was still able to wear my mom’s dress, even if only a part of it.”

Huge thanks to Bethany & Dan Photography for sending this gem our way!

P.S. Nicole and I were discussing how there needs to be a better name for things like Becky’s hair thing, because “hairpiece” just sounds like a toupee. Hair ornament? Hair adornment? Hair swag? Let us know if you come up with something good!
