When we asked friends what their favorite thing about marriage is, the answers ranged from sweet to silly to serious. In the case of Emily of Cakewalk Bake Shop, I think the best word to describe her answer is thoughtful. Getting to know each other better than anyone else, and in turn, learning how to be better people because of it. Having complete trust in another person to be completely raw and completely uninhibited really teaches you so much about who you truly are, what you want to change, and how to be better. It’s a deeper level of insight than anything I’ve ever known.
