Southern Weddings Weekly Round-Up

by in Main on

TGIF, friends!! Now that it’s the first week of October, we can officially go pumpkin picking and eat all of the candy corn we want, right? I’m also adding apple picking to my list of fall to-dos.

We took a look back at some behind-the-scenes action at Southern Weddings with our Instagram recap.

Though we can’t divulge the details of Emily’s wedding quite yet, we can hear about all the fun stops she and John made on their minimoon! The Jefferson Hotel and DC Coast were luxurious getaways in the middle of the capital city.

Y’all know we’re quite fond of custom cornhole boards! We were just smitten with these home state-themed ones.

As far as Southern delicacies go, The Varsity in Atlanta sure did impress us! As the world’s largest drive in, they produce 5000 fried pies daily, in addition to tons (literally) of other delicious grub.

Real Weddings are gooder than grits!

Shannon + Griffin’s pink wedding was full of handmade details and a guestbook idea we just adore! See it here.

Michelle + Paul’s Alabama picnic wedding had the entire office aww-ing over their love story. See it here.

Yahoo! Good News!

V5 is going to be our biggest and best issue yet! You, our dear readers, vendors and friends are invited to our Fifth Anniversary Bash! We couldn’t think of anyone better with whom to celebrate five years of Southern Goodness.

Before y’all go, take a look at this awesome event that Kelly Cummings from Spindle Photography sent over to us. Rebecca Hassee of P.E.W.S., a pew rental company in Birmingham, organized a pew decorating contest for vendors in Alabama. See P.E.W.S for more fun photos! Thanks for sharing, Kelly! Have a fab weekend, y’all! And congrats to all the belles and beaus saying “I do!”
