Southern Weddings

Emily and I both agree that we’re feeling a little removed from reality this week. (She says it’s felt like Thursday since Tuesday!) Maybe it’s that our office is being taken over by photo shoot props or that we’ve been thrown off by our midweek power outage (hello, Southern thunderstorms!). Either way, we’re thankful that Friday is finally here and that we have a moment of rest before we head off to another V5 photo shoot on Monday!

Emily’s been talking about watermelon all summer and couldn’t wait to share some of that sweet inspiration with y’all!

Marissa really knows the way to my heart. This week, she’s sharing the details behind a true Southern favorite, the Krispy Kreme donut.

We are so excited that July’s Southern Bride of the Month is not only a reader, but a vendor! Get to know Molly Gee, her adorable pup and her Christmas proposal story here.

Real Weddings brighten our day!

Izzy + Lane’s museum wedding transformed a Charlotte landmark into a venue for Southern hospitality! Take a look here.

If Christie + Mike hadn’t had such an adorable love story, then their biscuit bar definitely would have won us over! See it here.

Kim + Mark’s wedding have us completely smitten with their flowers and reception installations! See it here.

Fun news!

The stationers and paper-lovers at Storkie have just released new invitation designs on their site! Head over there to browse the options and customize to your heart’s content!

We’re sending out giant hugs to all the ladies and gents who are getting married this weekend, including our Southern Bride Blogger, Theresa! Congratulations!

Have a great weekend, friends! Tell us, what Southern Doin’s are you taking part in?

Love the reception pics and the hanging flowers. Have the winners of the cornhole contest been picked yet? Still hoping–but I wanted to order one if not!
