Sponsor Love: V3 Print

by in Main, Sponsor Love on

Since we’ve had several inquiries about print advertisements for V4, we wanted to take a moment to look back at our fabulous crop of full-page sponsors that debuted in V3. We take a HUGE amount of care in placing our advertisements (and working with vendors on their ad designs), and we want to show you how fabulous they look in the pages of the magazine! Unlike most wedding magazines, we pride ourselves on NOT being a thick stack of ads, and we believe that makes y’all pay more attention to the ads we do print. From the feedback we’ve gotten from vendors and brides, this seems to be a win-win solution all around.

Intros aside, let’s take a look at a few VIP members of our V3 family!

First up: Storkie! See those beautiful teals, pinks, and blues? All perfectly within our color palette for this issue, making us pleased as punch to have the fine folks at Storkie on the inside front cover. Storkie.com is home to a wide array of stationery designs, ranging from the classic to the fun. You can see a few of my favorites here, here, and here!

Next we have photographer Camille Deann. We thought Camille’s elegant and refined style (and elegant and refined ad!) was a perfect match for my etiquette column. Camille is based just outside of Atlanta, but is happy to travel to wherever your wedding might be located. She also wrote a sweet post about her ad on her blog here. :)

Mike Steelman is a great example of the collaborative process we go through with our sponsors. We went back and forth for days, trying to decide on, between our office and Mike’s, the perfect image to set off his brand. We finally settled on this stunning tree, and I have to say, I think it was a great choice — everyone who sees Mike’s ad is wowed. Mike is based in California but is looking forward to booking some Southern weddings!

Next we have J. Malahy Photography. Josh chose to run the same image as he did in V2, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled! Doesn’t it look perfect sandwiched in between the pages of our color story? Josh is based in Memphis and Atlanta but happy to travel to wherever your wedding might take him! You can check out his site here and blog here.

The darker colors of Cunningham Photo Artists’ ad fit right in next to the opening page of our “Sweet Love” feature. Drea and Casey are based in Charlotte but, as they say, “have camera, will travel!” You can visit their site here and their blog here!

We chose to put photographer Christine Tremoulet’s ad across from the opening page of our “Rockabilly Romance” feature for two main reasons: the bright red of the vintage truck in our shoot perfectly complemented the vintage car in Christine’s photograph, and both Christine and our shoot are based in Texas! Christine is a fabulous destination wedding and boudoir photographer, and you can view her work here and here.

Perez Photography is another one of our dynamite Texas sponsors. We love love love husband and wife team Cesar and Tanya and know you will, too. Check out their site here and blog here, and keep your eyes peeled for their big branding overhaul reveal soon!

It’s a very close call, but I have to say, Paul and Mecheal Johnson might win for my personal favorite ad in V3. It’s just so dreamy, and perfectly reflects their soft, love-and-light-filled style. Plus, it looks so fabulous next to the “Choose Your Own Southern Wedding” spread! The Johnsons are based in Florida but have traveled around the country shooting weddings. You can view their site here and blog here!

Kelly Hornberger’s ad is another that’s striking in its simplicity. LOVE the photo she chose, and love her graphic signature in the bright citron. Clean and modern but warm, just like her photography style. You can see more of her work on her site here and blog here!

Rounding out our photography sponsors, we have Tiffany of Lucky Photography. If you’re looking for a true Southern talent, Tiffany’s your girl! She works throughout Alabama and also shoots child and family portraits. (Just thought I’d toss that out there for those readers who’ve stuck around after the wedding!) You can view her site here and blog here.

Last but certainly not least, we have Rae and Wes Leytham. A husband and wife photography duo based in Florida, they might have the honor of being SW’s longest-running supporters. We love them for that, and also because of their fabulous talent behind the lens. View their site here and their blog here! I must add, also, that their ad looks like it was made to follow Kristin and Kincaid’s wedding. Gorgeous!

If you can believe it, we’ve already had more than a few of our ad slots snapped up for the next issue, even though it isn’t slated to drop until next fall! We’re not kidding about limiting the number of ads we take, so if you think you’d like to join us now that you’ve seen what care we take in management and placement of our sponsors, just email Whitney and she’ll talk things through with you. We’d love to have you! Once again, a huge “thanks, y’all!” to ALL of our sponsors from the SW ladies!

I was immediately drawn to D! The pink braided sash with the accents intertwined makes for a beautiful and modern affect. Any bride would look gorgeous with this detail! It looks like you could wear it in a bunch of different ways! In your hair would be another great possibility! I love the tone of the pink as well! Would look perfect with our colors!!

  2. avatar Elyse reply

I love “B” the Starburst. I simply adore big floral statement pieces. On headbands. As broaches. I just love this style. And nothing would be more me on our special day than walking down the aisle in an equally charming, attention grabbing accessory. Adore!

  3. avatar Elyse reply

I simply adore “B” the Starburst. I love it because it looks like a flower, and floral accents are some of my very favorite accessories. On headbands, hair clips, belts and brooches–I just LOVE big, floral statement pieces. And I couldn’t think of any other type of accessory being more me on my day. Adore!

  4. avatar courtney reply

could we vote on the hottest shoes instead ;) the pinkish sparkly ones would be great for my rehearsal dinner!!!

  5. avatar Elizabeth reply

I am in L-O-V-E with the velveteen rabbit sash!! The color is perfect–and one of my wedding colors!! It has been really hard to find how to incorporate the right shade of blue/green into wedding party attire (still looking for the right frock for my maids). This sash would look so pretty in the fall with my off-white gown! And its something blue… :)

  6. avatar Corrie reply

Oh, that is hard to pick, but I have to say the Starburst! So very fun!

  7. avatar Bea reply

I am absolutely drawn to the Starburst (B) sash. The dark color accent on top of a white dress is such a great contrast that shows off the waist line! Not only do I love the color, but the flower burst accent on the sash gives it a real pop that can make any wedding dress unique to the bride. I would be proud to wear this sash on my big day!

  8. avatar Jessie reply

I like the icicle the best. :)

  9. avatar Elizabeth reply

I adore the Starburst! It’s just he right amount of color and drama.

  10. avatar toviah reply

i love the velveteen rabbit sash! it reminds me of greece or mermaids.

  11. avatar Becca C. reply

It’s hard to choose, but I love the Velveteen Rabbit because it’s in my wedding colors! :)

  12. avatar Kim reply

Totally torn…love the Velveteen Rabbit AND the Starburst. Do I have to chose just one?

  13. avatar Lori reply

The starburst is my favorite… The contrast with the dress is great and the flower adds a fun, whimsical touch to balance the look.
It was definitely hard to choose. If I were getting married in the winter the icicle would be a must!

  14. avatar madelynne reply

I love velveteen rabbit! It’s a small touch of blue to add to the gown and I like the subtle sparkles infused in it! Lots of different textures!

  15. avatar Jennifer reply

I LOVE the symbolism of the Tying the Knot sash. Intertwining love made so beautiful by an intertwining sash that you could wear for years to come and in so many ways. Absolutely gorgeous!!!

  16. avatar Kelly reply

Starburst – it is beautiful on the dress and would be a wonderful detail to incorporate into other aspects of the wedding. The brown would work for any season and the whimsy of the flower adds feminine flair.

  17. avatar ashleyryan reply

My wedding is May 21st and I have yet to find the perfect “something blue.” I would absolutely love love love it if the velveteen rabbit was it!

  18. avatar Bella reply

I love the glamour of the icicle sash! (D) I am wearing a wedding gown without any sequins or beading, so it would be the perfect accessory for some sparkle!

  19. avatar Allyson reply

I love the icicle sash because not only will this look beautiful with a wedding dress but it could be used with other outfits as well and it would look so cute in the winter.

  20. avatar AshleyHH reply

LOVE the Starburst. I love big flowers on things, and the contrast of the dark color on the white is stunning!

  21. avatar Kelley reply

I love love love B) The Starburst!

  22. avatar Jennifer S reply

I like B. I think it’s pretty! The flower makes it very bride appropriate and it accents the waist nicely.

  23. avatar Jenny reply

Style A would match my color scheme wonderfully!

  24. avatar Natalie reply

Hi all! I think the clear winner is the Velveteen Rabbit! That perfect aqua/robin’s egg color has always been a favorite of mine, and the velvet fabric and delicate design really fits well with the I&A aesthetic. I would adore receiving this! I would wear it with my I&A dress “loving thoughts” for the rehearsal dinner!

  25. avatar jessica reply

Definitely the Starburst! It is feminine and elegant with just the right touch of simplicity…would be perfect for “something new” to wear on my wedding day:)

  26. avatar Kaitlyn D reply

I’m definitely a Velveteen Rabbit! I love the lush velvet and the pretty pearl details.. just gorgeous!

  27. avatar Katelyn reply

Oh I absolutely love the “icicle” on this bride. It is so feminine and sparkly! This adds a great detail to the dress without making it too busy. The icicle looks so delicate with all the beautiful beads on it, this is the perfect sash! (especially for a Winter wedding!)

  28. avatar Natalie reply

I love the starburst sash. So many people do not think black is appropriate for a wedding day but I think it can really add a splash of color and look very elegant. The starburst sash reminds me of something Audrey Hepburn would wear in My Fair Lady. Pair it with a updo or a hairpiece and you would look so elegant. I would love to wear this on my wedding day and hope to goodness I win.

  29. avatar Nicole W reply

I’ve been looking for a delicate sash for my dress and Velveteen Rabbit couldn’t be anymore perfect in more ways than one. Margery Williams’ Velveteen Rabbit holds a special place in my heart. It’s the first childhood story I remember my grandmother reading and it became a part of our bedtime story routine. Wearing that sash would be a beautiful reminder and a wonderful way of honoring her on our wedding day.

  30. avatar Jessica reply

What a gorgeous giveaway! I adore the Velveteen Rabbit – I’m hoping to get a non-white, knee length dress, and it would be great to have such a pretty belt to dress it up for the wedding! My fingers are crossed.

  31. avatar Jenny B reply

I love the Velveteen Rabbit sash! It matches my bridesmaids dresses perfectly…I have been on the hunt for something just like this for ages!

The starburst is my favorite. I’ve been looking for a black sash to go with the dress I have yet to buy. =) Hopefully, tomorrow will be the day.

  34. avatar Marilyn Lobos reply

    C) the icicle is definitely my favorite! It would be great to wear for a winter wedding. Add some snow, champagne and wonderful family and friends and you have a beautiful bride with a beautiful sash to add on to a gorgeous dress! What a beautiful and amazing day that would be!

  35. avatar emily f. reply

I’m in love with The Icicle! I can just imagine it for a winter wedding! GORGEOUS!

  36. avatar Rebecca reply

    B!

  37. avatar Audrey reply

My favorite is B) The Starburst. The flower is just so whispy and pretty. I love it! I plan on wearing a flower similar to this in my hair on my wedding day, so I think that if I had this sash it would go great with the whole ensemble!

  38. avatar Courtney reply

    D) I love it! Simple and modern but still has a bit of an organic feel.

  39. avatar Jeannine @ Small & Chic reply

The velveteen rabbit! I love that it’s thin, but has texture and a little bit of bling. I would compliment almost any color wedding gown. :)

  40. avatar kasey reply

Definitely C, love the icicle! The cream color is simply pretty.

  41. avatar Alissa reply

I thought it was obvious…the icicle! All are amazing but that one made my jaw hit my desk. Stunning!

  42. avatar mila reply

I really like “tying the knot”! It would fit my rustic, outdoor themed wedding. I also think it would symbolize my bond with my fiance’- strong, tight, and able to uphold anything.

  43. avatar Allison reply

I just love the starburst! it looks like it will make any dress just a little more flattering. i’m only dress shopping in a few months, but i’m sure i could find one that would love having this added to it!

  44. avatar Amy reply

I absolutely love the velveteen rabbit!!! It just matches everything we’re planning into our wedding here in Sweden so well! The colors, the slightly vintage look to it, the coziness of the velvet. I’ve been trying to find velvet ribbon in that color for my bouquet. And the little flowers are so sweet! It looks a bit like lilly of the valley is embroidered in which is one of my favorite flowers and obviously one we’ll be using a lot throughout the wedding. I’ve ordered a beautiful dress from Sarah Seven but have been looking for a sweet little sash like this to give it a little something special. Great job Ivy and Aster!

  45. avatar Cristina reply

I really like the ‘velveteen rabbit’ sash. It’s a great way to incorporate your “something blue” into your dress!

  46. avatar whitney freeman reply

My favorite is B, the starburst!
I love how it has a vintage look & would look amazing with the dress i have picked out!!!

  47. avatar laura reply

the starburst sash would look perfect with the nicole miller wedding gown i purchased yesterday.

  48. avatar kelly reply

That velveteen rabbit sash has the best name AND design!!! Love love love.

  49. avatar Laura P reply

I LOVE the starburst! It’s modern, yet feminine. But they’re all gorgeous!

  50. avatar Sonia A. reply

The C – icicle! It has the right amount of sparkle and winter “look” to it! It would go along perfectly with my winter wonderland theme! I would feel so unique wearing the gorgeous sash!

  51. avatar noelle reply

i love the tying the knot stunning colors and would look awesome on any dress

  52. avatar Adrienne reply

Considering that my wedding colors are black, white, and blush, tying the knot is the only sash for me. It’s delicate and intricate and down right lovely.

  53. avatar Erica reply

I love option B, tying the knot, as it’s very symbolic and super sweet in those colors!

  54. avatar Dana reply

I love C, so much pretty in one band — without being “too much”

  55. avatar Lindsay reply

Definitely without a doubt I would pick the starburst sash. It would go so well with my ivy and aster dress! I wanted to get it but was going to see if I had room in my budget to do so. But winning it would definitely solve that problem. Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity!

  56. avatar Sacha reply

I love the ‘tying the knot’ sash. So simple, sweet and pretty!

  57. avatar Jessica reply

I love both velveteen rabbit and the starburst.. the velveteen rabbit would be the best thing for a something blue to add to your wedding day but the starburst would be better being from Charleston & having a Charleston wedding it reminds me of a magnolia flower which would be great also to add to my wedding to incorporate that southern charm…I go with the starburst!

  58. avatar Kelly reply

The starburst gets my vote! It’s such a fun and elegant piece!

  60. avatar Natalie reply

I like the velveteen rabbit because it adds just a hint of color and texture to the dress. It doesn’t detract from the traditional bridal look, but rather accentuates the waist and the dress as a whole.
    Love it!

  61. avatar Micah reply

I love the starburst! It’s soft like a fairytale but also fun and funky…. adds a little pizazzz
