Monthly Archives: December 2010

If you’re like me, you’ve got a by-the-minute countdown until the Big Day. I’m talking about Christmas, of course, which is just 13 days away, FYI. 13 days, as in… less than 2 weeks.

YEE-HAW!

And, like me, you probably haven’t checked your list twice (or even once) to make sure you have the perfect gifts for family and friends. (Be honest, now!) Luckily, we have an easy solution for your gift-giving woes:

Yes, SW V3 makes a perfect stocking stuffer for friends, sisters, moms, cousins – you name it. As a bonus: for every order submitted, the SW elves will sneak in a copy of V2. (Just don’t tell the Big Guy!)

Santa will be making his last visit to the SW office on Wednesday afternoon, so make sure to place your order by Wednesday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m.

Merry Christmas, y’all!

P.S. How cuteee does our cover model look with her Santa hat?! Thanks, Nicole!

Is there any way I could order a copy of V2 alone? If I hadn’t pre-ordered my copy of V3 in September, I’d surely jump on this opportunity. Thanks!!

Hi Katrina! Yes, you absolutely can order V2 by itself! You’ll find all our online purchase options here: http://iloveswmag.com/info/buy-sw. We won’t be sending out new copies until January 3, but you’re welcome to place your order at any time. Email me if you have questions! Happy weekend :)

If you watched our Christmas party from last year, you know Southern Weddings knows how to do Christmas. Presents (naturally), food (definitely), candy (there better be) – it’s a full-blown holiday extravaganza, and you won’t want to miss it!

Last week, we jetted off for a visit to Santa’s workshop. Stop by next week for the full recap of our office outing!

Tune in today to SW TV at 3:00 p.m. to watch the whole team gather ’round for some holiday cheer. Lara has promised hot mulled cider, and I can see a jumbo-size bag of Smarties peeking out the top of my stocking. Ho, ho, ho, indeed!

Any guesses who the bite-sized elf featured in this Christmas portrait is?

Check @iloveswmag + our personal accounts for Twitter updates about the online location of our Southern Christmas spectacular. Can’t wait to see you there!

Looks like a FUN party. What a great place to work. The staff seems to have definitely enjoyed your Holiday celebration. (Hilarious to watch, especially after the video caught up with the audio!) Happy Holidays to y’all.

V3 Feature :: Southern Meets Brooklyn

by in Main on

Up next in our Southern by Design series from V3 is this altogether lovely shoot dreamed up by the ladies of 100 Layer Cake. If you’ll remember, we asked a few of our favorite bloggers to put together a shoot that translated classic Southern style to their locale: in this case, Brooklyn. We were taken with 100LC’s ideas from the minute we laid eyes on them, and know you will be, too! Check out more of the pretty details, including the biscuit bar and banjo band, in the gallery!

The talented vendors involved:

Venue: Brooklyn Botanica // Planning and Design: Jillian Event Design // Photography: Anna Robin // Day-of Styling and Calligraphy: Love*Jenna // Invitation: Thoughtful Day // Flowers: Quatre Coeur // Hair and Makeup: Chris Newburg // Models: Miles at Q Management and Rachel Echelberger from BMG Models // Day-of Fashion Stylist: Ewa Davis // Bridal Gown: Elizabeth Dye from Lovely Bridal // Head Piece: Ban.do // Men’s Fashion: J. Crew // Band: Two Man Gentleman Band // Biscuit Bar: Baked // Table, Chairs, and Linens: Classic Party Rentals // All Antique Props: Props for Today
