Hi y’all! Have you exploded from Bridal Market goodness yet? It’s Marissa again, back for our final installment! After getting all dolled up, we headed to the Martha Stewart Bridal Market event. The party was held in the textile showroom of their corporate offices. There were manicure stations, gelato carts and glitter everywhere! Waiters were passing mini-everything; grilled cheese, caramel apples, popsicles and even tiny Coke in a bottle! Lara and I felt like kids in a candy store with so many fun surprises and wonderful people!

Below left to right: Lara with Anthony Luscia of Martha Stewart, Preston Bailey (From Lara: Preston is the reason I got into weddings in the first place! Finally meeting him was a dream come true. He is so gracious and wonderful!), Randy Fenoli, Kate Parker, David Beahm, the mini Coke bottles and candy apples (yum!), me with Lara and Kate Parker [photo by Shane Carpenter Weddings], Christy from Junebug Weddings and the best party guests of all – who decided to fly to NY that day at noon! – Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce of Engaging Concepts (aka the creators of Engage!). Funny story: Lara was dancing with Randy Fenoli and he popped a button on his coat. What better place to lose a button that in Martha HQ!? His little sewing adventure even made Page 6 of the New York Post!

Love this text message that Lara’s husband sent her right as we were walking into the party : )

Our tour of the Martha Stewart offices with the best tour guide ever, Darcy Miller, was definitely the cherry on top! We only wish our moms and Katharine and Emily would have been there!

The Smilebooth never disappoints. We love them so much we even featured them in V3! First image from Shane Carpenter and the rest are from Smilebooth. See them all here. We left NY with glitter all over us, our suitcases, in our hair – everywhere!

We’re not done yet! That’s right, y’all – one night and two fabulous parties! Next up The Knot party at the New York Public Library! Photo below from Christian Oth. Click here to see all the rest of his gorgeous images from the gala.

As huge Sex and the City fans, this was a dream to mix and mingle in this historic (and Carrie-fied) space. We loved the fifteen-foot tall replica of a Monique Lhuillier gown made completely out of fresh flowers from the incomparable Preston Bailey. We visited Preston’s offices a few days earlier and got to see this beauty being constructed. Amazing! Images below from our iPhones. These pics just don’t do the event justice, y’all!

Flying home yesterday, I was still pinching myself. Huge thank you to Lara for bringing me along! You might just be the best boss ever! I already can’t wait for next year! From Lara: Thank you for being such a great Bridal Market buddy! And thank you, dear readers, for following along with our adventures. It was a whirlwind of a weekend and we were happy to cover it for you!

So, which dress is your favorite from Bridal Market?!

Welcome back for Part 7! Our last day at market, we headed off to Pier 94 for the New York International Bridal Show. This was a wedding mecca!

The format was a little different there. Instead of runway shows, there are hundreds of booths filled with dresses and accessories for press and buyers. So much to pour through, so little time! We could have spent days in there. Love the little girl below who got swooped up by one of the models. She was so happy!

We might have had a little too much fun in the Alisa Benay booth… and by a little I mean a lot! Doesn’t that model below look familiar? Oh, yes – that’s our Editor in Chief, Ms. Lara Casey, in one of our favorite gowns! Isn’t she a stunner? I vote for a Lara + Ari vow renewal! Whose with me? Love it! Lara fell in love with the dress for its sweet Southern details – lace on the straps and bodice and buttons all the way down the back with a little antique glamour in the brooch. The best part? The low scoop of the back. Romantic and modern. Alisa’s collection is so dreamy! From Lara: OK OK, I just couldn’t resist! Alisa said “try it on!” and I just couldn’t say no. What’s a girl to do surrounded by so much wedding dress eye candy!? It was a fun indulgence. And I might be considering that vow renewal.

Next up, we hunted for the best accessories to share with y’all in future Southern Weddings shoots. We really loved Haute Bride – lots of modern (and affordable!) pieces. Loved the “something blue” stone drop below left and the more dramatic floral and crystal piece at right.

And then… are y’all ready for this!? Lara discovered the dress of all dresses! A SEERSUCKER gown from Ian Stuart! Oh, my Southern heart be still! These iPhone pics just don’t do it justice!

They say you save the best for last, but let me tell you that is an understatement! Up next… the Martha Stewart Party and the Knot Gala with lots of fun wedding folks!

Welcome back for our complete coverage of Bridal Market in NY this week! Our next show was Chaviano Couture, and we were thrilled to be front and center to watch our dear friend (and SW V2 model!) Annette debut her collection. Her convertible designs really came to life on the runway. Congratulations, Annette!

Next up was sweet Southern belle, Anne Barge. Gorgeous ballroom, great music and incredibly detailed dresses proved to be one of our favorites. The best part? The models were all smiling! Double win! Our video from Anne’s show is here. Below: Lara with Sylvia Weinstock and Harmony of the Bridal Bar.

We were so excited to see V2 cover, Adair, work it on the runway.

So stunning, isn’t she!?

We went backstage after and we were so excited to hear that Adair had just gotten engaged!

Wow! That’s a jam packed two days, and we aren’t even near done yet! Just wait…
