More stunning dress shots, a backyard reception at the Kobza Family Ranch and a ridiculously happy bride – what more could you ask for?  We have a lot of favorites from this blue + white shindig, not least of which are the four-legged friends who showed up for the Texas celebration.  Other favorites?  A “Pimp Your Cupcake” station, wire fence photo collage and old-fashioned popcorn machine.  Kristin + Carman, we definitely want to come to your next party!  For more from this fun fete, visit Forever Photography Studio’s blog post here.

I literally squeeled with delight (attractive, no?) when I saw Kristin’s flowy one-shoulder Manuel Mota gown.  I love one-shoulder dresses, and this dress was a perfect for stunning Kristin.  Just when I recovered from the gorgeousness of the bride’s dress, I noticed her ‘maids’ asymmetric frocks, handmade especially for the occasion by a family friend.  A-mazing.  K + C were married at the United Evangelical Lutheran Church of Swiss Alp.  Hey Kristin, were you a little bit excited to be getting married?  Luckily, Forever Photography Studio was on-hand to document the bride’s giddy happiness!

I’m happily swooning over the sweet Southern simplicity of this Texas wedding from Veraya at iSnap Studio. The white detailing, clean French blue accents and understatedly elegant garden reception are romantic + personal without being at all fussy.  That’s what weddings really are all about anyway, right?  The bride, a jewelry designer, designed her dress alongside the famed Elizabeth Fillmore and created her own sparklies for the big day.  Karen Higginbotham of I Love Flowers arranged the classic blooms, and Panini Bakery crafted a four-tiered square cake with delicate orchid detailing.  Heaven!  A few more images, you say?  Check out Veraya’s blog post from Meredith + Andy’s Greenway Parks wedding here!

How did the two of you meet?  Tell us your story.  At Wholefoods in October 2008, we met at the Indian prepared food section before closing time and he made a joke about the questionable food. We chatted and laughed and he asked me out for drinks that week. I was sold on the British accent and sexy bright blue eyes. He had a genuine smile. We’ve been inseparable ever since.
Describe the proposal.
We proposed to each other in Central Park in New York on a little bridge during Thanksgiving. He had a man do a portrait for us, and at the bottom is said, “Will you marry me??” My parents were in town from Texas, so we went out that night to celebrate!
Three adjectives that describe the day are: intimate, warm, and magical
Our favorite detail of the wedding was: the French blue cake and my custom designed wedding gown

What Southern details or traditions did you include in your celebration?  What was Southern about your wedding?
Other than the fact that it was 90% my family and 10% his family from England, we had some men in cowboy hats since my Mom’s side of the family is all real cowboys.
Tell us about finding your wedding dress:
I worked for Elizabeth Fillmore Bridal as her Director of Marketing and Sales and was a designer for 4 years. We collaborated on the design for the dress. I’m a jewelry designer also, and created custom pieces to work with the gown.
Describe your wedding flowers: Dusty pink peonies with wild curly willow, some orchids and vintage french blue hydrangeas…gorgeous!
Describe your wedding cake: Massive French blue, square stacked wedding cake with asymmetrical sugar cherry blossoms coming through it.
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? Doing it from Manhattan!!
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? The love I felt from my family and the amazing adoration of my husband.
What’s next for you as a couple?  What are you looking forward to in the future? We just moved to Portland, OR where Andy is president of a design company. I’m concentrating on the jewelry line. I’m in 12 stores already.
