Google+ Real Tennessee Wedding: Lizzy + Kennie, Part II - Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings

Lizzy + Kennie celebrated with family and friends at a private home in Collierville.  Eddie McGregor ([email protected]) catered the outdoor soiree, and Ginger Clarke designed the couple’s refreshingly simple, three-tiered wedding cake.  We love the eclectic details at the reception!  What’s your favorite?  For more images from Annabella Brandon + Asian Bees Photography, visit her blog!

Describe your wedding flowers: Because our wedding was outside and surrounded by rose gardens, we chose not to have any fresh flowers. My bouquet was made out of knobs and the bridesmaids carried lanterns down the aisle.
Describe your wedding cake: It was a simple three-tiered round cake. We added twigs and two birds nuzzled up together in a nest as the cake topper, but my favorite part was the wood slice that served as the cake stand.
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding? Definitely balancing work, school, wedding planning and spending time with Kennie. It was really stressful and overwhelming at times, but somehow it all worked out perfectly.

What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? Instead of lighting a unity candle, we decided to simply have a time of worship and prayer together. A good friend of ours sang one of our favorite worship songs while we prayed, then we all joined in and sang along with her. It was a great opportunity for us to share in giving Glory to God for the amazing blessing of our love and marriage.
What’s next for you as a couple?  What are you looking forward to in the future?
Finishing school is the next big thing we want to check off our list. Then we’re extremely excited about traveling, sharing the gospel overseas and at home, and having lots of babies!

Congratulations, Lizzy + Kennie!  We hope you enjoy a long and happy marriage.

I was there to fix Lizzy’s hair. I am her aunt. I believe this was the most unique and beautiful wedding I have ever attended. Even though I am biased because I love her so much I enjoyed every moment of the whole event. It is refreshing to be a part of the sharing of vows between two people who truly exemplify love of Christ through love of each other.

It was the most Godly wedding I have been to in ages. Beautiful people, beautiful home and grounds for the wedding. His dad read the words to a song he had sung when Kennie was dedicated to the Lord and it was all about the wonderful women God had chosen for him…..

I had the priviledge of meeting Lizzy during the summer we spend in the Philippines. I wasn’t able to attend the wedding but I think I’ve told everyone I know about how perfect the pictures are. I know Lizzy, so I know God recieved the glory on their wedding and all the times to come.
