Last week, we asked for some Southern-inspired additions to our super top-secret gift baskets for an epic surprise we have planned! (More details – and pictures – to follow soon!) We must have some true Southern fans (and real-life Southerners!) on this blog, because we received some great suggestions for our down-home Dixie baskets.
Our favorite? Katie’s vote for some good old-fashioned Firefly Vodka (complete with her favorite family recipe, as well):
A big bottle of Firefly Vodka is so cute and so definitely Southern! Given different accoutrements, this could easily fit in either basket. Add a bag of porkrinds and flask and it’s Dirty South all the way! Personally, I’d vote for a recipe tag for a Ginger Glow (1 part Firefly, 1 part gingerale, a lemon twist) tied with satin ribbon to the stem of a monogrammed glass. Perfectly preppy, in the very best sense.
