My father is amazing! He can do absolutely anything!! AH! I can’t talk about him or type without crying. I am his only child but he always tells me that he wishes he had twelve of me instead of one. I would not be where I am today without him. He has taught me so much and loved me unconditionally.

My father is the most generous, kind and loving man. He has given up so much to give me the things I need and want usually at the sacrifice of sleep, time and energy. I am so grateful to have him walk me down the aisle.

I am a daddy’s girl, through and through. His strength amazes me! He lost his sister, brother and dad within 5 years of each other (two terminal illnesses, one heart attack), has fought polio and post-polio syndrome, cancer, and has had to deal with three very independent children who love him a lot but live very far away! I have learned so much about faith, hope, and perseverance from him.

My dad is the absolute best! When I was little, he was the one that stayed home while my mom worked. We would go fishing and all the other "dad" things that he could think of. Now that I have moved away, I still cherish everything he taught me and look forward to every second that I get to spend with him!

My father has the ability to be serious – he is a chemist after all – and have fun too. He runs a week of camp each summer and he does everything from talk to parents that are nervous about their elementary age kids going to camp to leading campfires to acting out crazy skits with the staff of high school and college age kids. He is willing to jump in and get his hands dirty, but can also delegate when he needs to. And above all, he goes out of his way to make sure that my siblings and i feel loved and supported in every way possible!!!

My dad is my hero and I know that sounds cliche but ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to be like him and I’m definitely following in his footsteps. He has been an inspiration to my life and my future career and has always been there for me even during a 8 year period when my parents were separated.

My Dad is amazing because he has always been a Dad to me even though we are not blood related. All these years, no matter how terrible I was through my teen years or beyond he never once said to me or my Mom "She’s yours you handle her" Nope he was MY dad ALWAYS! PLUS he always worked hard, nights 2 jobs, whatever was needed to provide for our family. When my mom got sick he sold his business and started fresh to spend more time with her. H ealso moved from the only city he had ever know to a smaller one half way across the country to be closer to my Mom’s parents. My Dad ROCKS!

I love my dad because he’s always been there for me. He might not always know what to say or do, but he always knows how to make me laugh and when I need him.

My father passed away 7 years ago and I thought that Father’s Day would be over forever because I knew that no one would ever take my fathers place. My fiance and I have two daughters and I have put my heart and soul into making sure his father’s days would be as special as as my late father’s use to be. I make sure he knows how special he is to all of us and how much of a great father he.

My dad is still the most intelligent man I know, even though everyone always says that when you grow up you’ll find out your parents aren’t the most intelligent people you know. He’s amazing.

My stepdad is amazing. He treats me as his own and I couldn’t ask for anyone better. He works day in and out and still manages to help me throughout school and my siblings. He truly is the best!

My step father is so special to me because he adopted me when I was really young, has raised me to be a young women with great morals and faith. He has been Mr. Mom throughout the years and helped raise me and my 5 siblings while my mom worked and juggled many things. I have so much respect and love for him!

My dad and I have definitely had our ups and downs, but in the end, I know that he will always be there for me. ALWAYS. I’ll always remember how he’d wake us up extra early by singing opera. That’s one memory I’ll always have.

My father is special to me in many ways, but the one that stands out the most is his amazing strength and perseverance through adversity. Growing up a child of 12, he was accustomed to two-room houses, farm life and did not finish high school because he had to work. He has remained at the same employer for 39 years. At 57, he, along with my mother, has raised a wonderful family of four siblings, all of which have graduated from universities and gone on to pursue rewarding careers. I am blessed to be engaged to a wonderful man just like him in honor, kindness and determination.

My father has always shown me unconditional love and kindess. He has been a wonderful provider, encourager, and comforter to me and my family throughout the years. He is a precious example of genuine selflessness. He leads with a quiet strength and dignity like no other person I have ever met. I love him so very, very much and for Father’s Day and always I am so grateful for his legacy!

First of all, I’m the youngest of 3 and the only girl so I’ve always been daddy’s princess. He was literally there for my first breath. My father was the one who delivered me. My parents were very poor and my dad was working in the Navy as a doctor. He was doing some routine lab work on my mom about a month before I was due when my mom’s water broke. It was after hours (that was when he could do it for free) so there was only the OBGYN on call….which was my dad. He called for the nearest other OBGYN in Savannah (I was born in Beaufort, SC…holla for the southern girls) but by the time the other doctor arrived, I was born. It has always meant a lot to me that my father is on my birth certificate twice (once as father and the other as attending physician). We have been discussing father/daughter dance songs and he started crying when he heard Heartland’s "I loved her first" when it got to the line where it talks about how he was there for her first breath because it really struck home. I have only seen my dad cry 2 other times in my life (when each of his parents died). *Omg, I’m starting to tear up myself* I really don’t care about winning. I just want everyone to know how amazing my father is.

My father is truly my best friend. Every man I ever dated was always compared to my father. He would say if they cannot take care of you better than me, leave them alone!! He did every thing for me and spoiled me rotten. Our birthday’s are in August and 1 week apart and we are truly two peas in a pod. I graduated from the same college as my father and hopefully will send my kids there when I have them! I finally met someone that is like my father through and through and his birthday is in August too! My father adores my fiance and I cannot wait for my dad to walk me down the aisle in October to someone else I consider my best friend for life!

Dad…Where do I begin about this wonderful man? He has taught me many things; from the value of a dollar to the Golden Rule. He is one in a million. On my wedding day, I can’t wait to have him walk me down. There is no one more special or perfect to do that job. He will also be playing the piano and singing Steven Curtis Chapman’s song "I will be here". I don’t know how we will hold it together. Even my fiance has said he will probably cry. I know Daddy and I will be crying. I never will be able to thank him enough for teaching me so many wonderful things both on purpose and by how he lives his life.

Although my dad and I aren’t as close as I am with my mom, we have a strong bond that is indescribable. All it takes is a look and we know exactly what the other is thinking. He is always well prepared for a lively political debate, and we share a love for kayaking and performing arts. It has been hard on him knowing I will be married soon, and I would love to make this fathers day extra special with beautiful cuflinks he could wear to the wedding and a heartfelt poem that would make him laugh and cry.

I actually the luckiest girl in the world… I have 2 fathers now, all ministers! My biological father died when I was 15 because of a hospital mishap. My dad wasn’t given the proper amount of blood thinner and he developed a blood clot that traveled to his heart and he died. I had a wonderful dad, but the greatest part to this sad situation is that he made sure I had three great men to care for me. Three months before my dad died, he, my other 2 fathers and some other ministers went to a seminary conference. While they were there, my father pulled my other fathers aside and told asked them to care for me if anything happened to him because I was the baby. Even more, when my dad was dying, one of his final statements was asking my other father , Larry, to make sure he and My father Cleveland take care of his baby girl. They have all lived up to their promise. There was never a softball or volleyball game, parent-teacher conference, recital, honors assembly, homecoming, graduations or anything that they missed. They have been there emotionally, physically, mentally and financially. They both only had sons, so they are head over heels for their Baby Girl. They are both giving me away at my wedding next year. I am truly blessed because although I lost one father, God sent me two men to step in. I have had a great life and although my biological father can never be replaced, he did a good job picking two fill-ins.
